I just bought one of these kits and working at getting it built….I’m impressed with the instruction manual also. The F9 axle housings are unique because they are in a sense a Fabricated 9” style from a 1:1 rig….. Most everything on these axle are exact scale to a 1:1 axle ….down to the carrier caps ….very cool! I also like the fact that these axles are fairly sealed up…I used a little sealer around the mating surfaces for the housing and third member. Even the sealed outer tube bearings are sealed and create a tight fit to keep out dirt a debris! Very impressed with the kit so far…but it should be impressive for the cost without any electronics! But in reality I usually replace most all the electronics in RTR rigs because quality is sub standard most of the time!
Regarding the lack of inclusion of fluids. Most builders are not beginners and are likely to have their own preferences for shock oil, grease, and threadlock. For me, if kits include fluids I will use my own and put the included fluids in the extra stuff box. One major disappointment is the inclusion of body post holes. Vanquish should have come up with a magnet system for body retention.
Agree on the holes. On the fluids, we understand that many will have shock oil and stuff already. But not all. And the key is these shocks seem to require heavier shock oil than most since piston holes are bigger. Our Capra and many other kits included fluids and the tiny packets probably cost them less than $5.
Yes, we try to deliver insight so we can add a little value to prospective owners. We'll have a lot of test runs on our established lines so we expect to learn a lot about how this compares with the best out there.
Color: Cream and Copper with tan interior Great video as always and intro into the kit. I look forward to seeing it completed with a side by side comparison to the TRX4 Sport and Element Enduro.
Great review as always. My only thought would be if you took a Trx4 Sport and put a total of $400(The difference in cost) of upgrades into it how much will it outperform the Vanquish by, or will it? Seems to me that would be a fair comparison if you want to compare by price. Does that +$400 make it better than another truck modded to match those dollars.
Yeah appreciate you sharing, I love mine, Best vehicle I have. I really enjoyed putting it together, it is my everywhere go anywhere rig now. I went with the new hobby wing AXE combo, 2300 KV censored brushless Super quiet Super smooth I really love this rig, I want to get another one. Love your reviews, i'll be watching for more
A maroon red with the Dark Silver Cab and bed, couldn't afford to Fork out the 750 so I bought the chassis kit vfd transmission and the offset axles over a period of a few months, already had the incision links drive shafts shocks Etc on my SCX10 II, definitely get the yellow spring for the shocks that's what I'm running with 50 weight I love this truck it crawls phenomenal
Hey I have a Savox 1212SG WATERPROOF SERVO on a vs410 with a mamba x esc and the servo acts up when I’m playing with it I’m not sure if I need to set the servo voltage on esc let me know ASAP I can’t wait to crawl again thanks
That’s the only way to be an expert at something. And so far you’re doing great! The VS4-10 pro is a great kit, I just wish they moved away from exposed body clips just like the newer scx....hopefully on their next kit.
I used some cheaper Chinese shocks. Try the springs and see which one gets you 50% sag. And then make sure you have heavy shock oil like 70-80 wt so it’s not bouncy
Good vid for sure man! A decent coat of flex-seal on those fender wells would add some rigidity, just my opinion. Really diggin’ that rig...the price tag, not too much🤙
This would have to be a class 2 truck, right? Seems that angled skid plate violates the "All chassis must have a skid plate that is parallel to the rockers." rule for class 1. I'm asking because I'm building my first comp rig and I'm curious how technical some judges may be.....
Thanks for another awesome video!..vanquish is too expensive for me..what do you think of the rumored redcat gen8 rtr with reefs rc servo and hobbywing axe brushless setup?..supposedly has no top and an interior?
woah, woah... where do you hear the rumors? We'd like to check them out. Doesn't make sense. Sounds like very expensive components on a great value/budget chassis. Should have an Annimos servo and brushed 1080 esc Hobbywing setup. :)
Great turn key top shelf crawler. Personally I would have prefered they offered aluminum wheels and plastic axles insted. As for paint I would suggest silver inside and matte orange on the outside and let the rock rash do its thing ;) Keep em cumin', enjoy your videos
Your videos are great for a beginner, but you also need to understand that not all running surfaces are the same. West coast and East coast running surfaces are completely different. Tires which work great in California where it tends to be warmer will not always work in New York by the coast, same with shock oils. I've been rock crawling since the beginning when the only axles were from Tamiya Tlts and chassis were custom made by a few vendors on RC CRAWLER. Now I'm in sunny Puerto Rico where you only have to worry about is will it rain during a fun crawl.
Color... Some Old School Scout II look. 😉 If the Body ONLY came UNDRILLED! All that Scale looks and Performance - and F'in BODY POSTS!! 😡😠 The Lexan Wheelwells aren't bad. A shot of Bedliner, and they will be more durable. Mind you, this is a Pro Kit. You Crawl, you know. Shock Oil CHOICE is important. I agree they SHOULD have included Threadlock. They make a nice, paste Threadlock. And Grease! They sell a phenomenal Grease! For $750, they COULD have included those. Carmine ✈🚂🚙
@@RCReviewChannel No question, the changes are very promising! Although, the same was said about the original VS4-10 and the Enduro Sendero, neither outperform the Sport. I'm REALLY looking forward to your Shootouts!!!! Thanks for all you're doing here. Love your content and quality of presentation.
highest quality on the market...cnc machined axles...nobody comes close in the quality of parts. thats vanquish's whole market. they arent trying to sell to the standard crowd
With the Front going faster than the back at 6% increased rate you are always dragging your tires everywhere you go also putting more strain on your drive lines and motor. why not just use unlocking/locking diffs which is a way better idea and much useful on the fly? also with all that money spent why go with a strait axle? Portals are the way to go better clearance hands down..
1. Jack it up and put a trx4 under it. 2. Jack it up and put a trx4 under it. 3. Jack it up and put a trx4 under it. 4. Jack it up and put a trx4 under it. 5. Jack it up and put a trx4 under it. There you go I fixed your video. Overdrive from the transmission is not a "revelation". Its a solution to a non existent problem. I prefer to overdrive/underdrive at the diffs and use my transmission for a dig or a 2 speed. The vs 410 continues to be one of the worst bangs for your buck, it's also the most expensive truck to have a knockoff body. Technically 90% of the truck is a knockoff, since its pretty much built out of scx10 upgrade designs.

It sounds like a pretty powerful drill! 😱
I know. Not sure that is normal but we'll see how it evolves after breaking in.
I don't know what version this is with the lexan wheelwells but other versions I've seen have polycarbonate will wheelwells...
Awesome technical review! Thank you!

RC Review what should I buy ?
Capra rtr or element Sendero rtr

Great specs, and the Scout-like pick-up body is epic, but I don't see it performing better than a TRX4 Sport at less than half the cost.
Hard to beat the best RTR... the Sport. But this looks like it's got the right stuff.
