Josh, this is Lucky here in KC. My wife is getting the VS4-10 Pro for me this Christmas. I can't wait to build it. Several of us in KCRC will b3e running the new rigs this year. Thanks to Vanquish for the great products they offer and thanks to you for the great videos and the support of the hobby.
I just bought this piece of art....it’s so worth the money just building and seeing the genius that went into this build is amazing! Matt and Josh have really brought me into this area of the hobby and it’s so much fun 🤩
Josh, thanks again for the great detailed info of the truck. Can not wait to get one. Have said this before and will again, this is by far the Best trail truck on the market and thanks to you and Vanquish for working on such a great quality truck. Been following both you and Matt's builds of the Trx 4's but, this truck has them all beat. Great Job Vanquish and it's employees for such an Awesome rig. B Leytham
You know what would be awesome is to do a “meet and greet” video with everyone from vanquish. it be nice to meet the team! I always assumed you owed Vanquish. I can’t speak for everyone but it be great meet everyone behind your guys’ stellar products. Awesome video as always Josh. ✊🏽
I have the VP axles that i had under my scx10 chassis. I decided to purchase the VS4-10 chassis kit and im glad I did. It's a big performance improve. Love it.
I just built mine. The only problem I had was my radio. I got the Spektrum Rugged radio. Mine was defective. I just could not program it. The kit builds like a Tamiya kit but with more metal parts. Also most of the metal parts are made in the USA! That is fantastic. An absolute joy to assemble.
Josh, your excitement of this video speaks volumes. The thought process, design, engineering into this product is off the hook. So many features! Price is what it is... which is, anyone would very easily spend more $$$ with upgrading the components of their rtr or kit to achieve what this kit offers. I will get one, but after summer and go into building mode. A great platform to replicate my fathers Scout I. (Minus leaf springs). Great product Vanquish!
Can’t wait to pick up my pro, I wanted an origin but never got around to it. This new pro version looks absolutely amazing. You can tell lots of time and care has been taken in the design and manufacturing of this rig. I understand it’s expensive, but good Lord, the thing is bulletproof. I’m sold for sure, great job Vanquish!
Damn. Wish I still was into the hobby like I used to be and had time to drive them. How well thought out and performance minded this rig is, is incredible!
Wow what is this a awesome build, it was a lot of fun putting together, went together so smooth. Waiting on my electronics, went with the new hobby wing. Brushless combo 2300 kv. I got a feeling this is going to be my favorite trail rig. Yeah
Everyone’s idea of performance may vary, some will say that the low speed of brushed may be the best for them but I prefer brushless. A Holmes Hobbies 2700 Puller Pro and a Mamba X or a Tekin 3100kv ROC412 with a RX4 are my top choices.
Josh, congrats on a WINNER!! 🏆 You're right, not for the typical Traxxas/Aarma Basher Boy... But it's certainly a higher level of the Original, which was EPIC! I'm really hoping to be able to afford one. If only one thing happens, I can!! It reminds me of the 77 Scout II I had when I was in High School. Pulled the Top, made some cuts, and I had a strong, short Pickup. 😊 Much better than the Broncos off Road!! I really hope I can get this. Carmine ✈🚂🚙
Fantastic evolution of an already great platform. F9’s look amazing. Can’t wait to receive mine later this week. Great job Vanquish, I look forward to continued innovation.
The new transmission and the engineering of it, has to be one of the most exciting innovations that has come out since the first crawler kit. Will the transmission and skid plate assembly be available separately in the future ?
I have the Vs4-10 origin. The Vs4-10 is cheap when you look at it in the long run. By the time you upgrade parts for a scx 10 to make it reliable and bullet proof, it ends up costing more than the price of the Vs4-10.
I spent a total of $1,100 on my first SCX10 so I know what you are talking about. Can’t do that anymore now that my kids are older. They are eating me out of my hobby.
I really like that orange and black looks awesome wish I could get one for west coast scale challenge have a wonderful day everyone hope to see you there josh
Great rundown on the features. I believe this will be the BEST trail and comp rig out there! Looking forward to receiving my Pro this week! Thanks Josh and the whole VP team!

Hello, you guys are amazing at what you do!! Love the product's! Is a tekin 412 rock crawler motor enough for this machine? I want to do this build right. I bought 1 buy will trade it for bigger if I need to
Yeah Josh appreciate you sharing, I'm going to get this truck, I love it. And I'll watch the different videos for reference. Love vanquish Products, Super awesome
Yeah I love my Josh I really love putting it together, went together so smooth, especially that new transmission , I was out with that yesterday and the nylon locknut and bolt fell out of the pan hard bar and jab right into my best tired poked a big hole, yeah I'm bumming, can't believe that bolt fell out like that. Well part of the hobby .
I will totally get one of these...in 2 or 3 years when I can find a used one. Kids have bled my wallet dry. My current hobby budget is more like your budget build, about $50 a week
Looks like an amazing setup. The small detail updates are incredible. I'd love to pick one up later this year. We shall see how things pan out. I have trouble letting trucks go and I'm beginning to run out of cabinet space
Josh, good review. One thing you don't really mention though is what the weight distribution is like. I know that the VFD transmission gets the motor well forward but the battery tray has moved a long way back. How much difference does that add up to with, say, a 2200mah 3S battery in the tray?
Weight distribution will be similar to before in many cases, however the center of gravity will be lower because of the location of the motor. And with a 2200 pack I don’t install the rear tray and I just run it on the side. In that case you’re even better in both distribution and COG.
Does the older vs4-10 black have metal bumpers and metal chassis braces? Thinking about buying one. Also do they sell extra bodies in case we damage the original? Is the body the same width as the gen8 in case we want to change the grill?
Very detailed rundown, thanks! Glad I waited to pull the trigger on one now, this one goes higher on the gotta have list. Really appreciate the dropout third member, that's something I've been hoping to see...big selling point for ease of maintenance.

Not so much what manufacture but the kv rating ...Thank Josh ..Keep it up .Cant wait to see what the next build off is between Matt and you self ...
Question Josh !! I installed my servo wench, I had to where the spool was towards the front , and hit the drag link , got it towards the back, and hit the Front upper link where mounted to the axle but not as bad. Is this the best any tips would be appreciated

It that a new 2300kv motor from HH? I only found the 2200kv online.
So many details I really like the truck but why is there only a diff plug in the rear diff?
Because that’s not uncommon in the full size for clearance. Our case was the same, clearances are very tight.

We still use some standard hardware for the detail screws as they are just a better size then a metric screw.
oh yes, what a Beauty --- at the Moment i build the vs4-10 origin --- Maybe the vs4-10 pro is something for the future
