It is easy to forget how many people Jotaro lost at just 17:
- He lost friends in Kakyoin and Iggy
- He lost a friend and mentor in Avdol
- He almost lost both his Grandpa and mother
- And he didn’t really have a present father
All that weight on a 17 year old its not surprising if he frequently cracked under all the pressure he shoulders.

And it definitely didn’t get better for him after that.
I also hate when people say he just abandoned jolyne like the dude knew he was a target and shit got hairy so he left to protect both her and his wife.
And fun fact Polnareff atack dio thinking he is the last crusader as jotaro play the dead and the other had died (Joseph was dead at this point)
I love the art how it's so depressingly beautiful.

I like how Jotaro and Polnareff look out for each other as they eat, I'd like to think its a call back on how Polnareff first attacked them which was when they were eating.
That is oddly wholesome.
They had a bond stronger than anything. It was straight up brotherly love.
"they have eyes like war veterans" man that's understatement I feel for these guys stands always hunting them, new problems, not to mention they all had to do this in what is a short time but a heart breaking and brutal but a amazing bizzar adventure.
Just there eyes alone you can tell how much a bizarre life Jotaro and the gang had 😭😭

@@sev7-828 It was a journey of laughter, sorrow, and anger. At the end of the day, it was one bizarre journey for the stardust crusaders. And now the torch still burns within Jolyne and the gang as she face every trial to stop Father Pucci

It's adorable when he's sad or happy, but really intimidating when he's angry and the artists draws his pupils really small...

I like the idea of Jotaro's PTS-Dio, suicidal thoughts and other heavier thoughts being represented through hallucinations of Dio.
It really helps emphasize just what kind of shitty circumstances he and the rest of the crusaders went through.
Same type of stands, killed the first 2 Jojo's, curse for the Joestar family for a hundred years, such a family member even after being lifted out of poverty. Such evil he must be, and such connection he has with him. That connection does not go away.

yup a 16 years old was force not only to take the life of others but also almost loose he's mother and grandfather, not to mention he lost two of he's close friends none of which he could saw in their last moments

Im still shocked how well they made Jotaros second side. Think about it.
he may be shown as calm or cold
But we must still think about the fact he was 17 year old boy on a death trip to save his own mother, getting into sticky situations, seeing his friends die, almost his grandpa too and killing a man in the end, almost dying in the process.
This video has a delughtful mix of silly, sweet and suffering. I love it.

Dio asking Jotaro, why don't him have a dessert, then, Jotaro starting to remember Kakyion, Polnareff, Avdol, who is already died.
This means, that Dio still dead asking Jotaro for his death, like he still not in reality anymore, not alive, but still in his memory, what make him still dangerous in Jotaro mind.
Sh*t, this is just epic. I can't stop thinking about what a big meaning of life and death author just put in that comic. Just 2-4 pages, that have more meaning, than my life, lol

How much Jotaro has suffered is so much more than I think anyone has suffered (not in anime but this dude has stopped his heart, punched a guy through the stomach, went through a. Divorce, and has to keep a mean face so hide any weakness)

Oh my gosh! It’s so sad to realize how much really happened and all the trauma that has ensued on jotaro and everyone else. It’s so hard to watch this and to realize all the pain and suffering that has been caused. I was seriously crying when polnareff saw he was missing his legs!

not to say that I've cried at every single comic... but really good job on voicing them.
It really hurts listening to Jotaro and Dio talk in the first half of the video, here you have two broken souls discussing the events of how they came to become enemies through an unwarranted awakened ability, one trying to save his mother is thrust to deal with 100 year old trauma of Dio screwing around with his family. Like Jotaro said Dio could've been his great great grand uncle, he could've been part of the family, hell who knows maybe Dio would've been Benjamin, Joseph and Jotaro's mentor in haman. Dio didn't have to forgo ruining the Joestars and his own life, he could've accepted a good life being an adopted Joestar. What kills me more about this is the fact that after hearing Dio's past Jotaro wants to spare Dio his pity as a show of respect but Dio provokes a reaction and the hammer is thrown when Jotaro admits to feeling sorry for him, this leaving Dio conflicted because he's supposed to hate all the Joestars. But Jotaro affected him with his honesty, and Dio begrudgingly respects him enough not to beat him when he's already down.

I really like the final comic with all the parts of Jotaro. Part 3 was smoking and drinking but the future parts don't since it would interfere with their battles. Try to have a clear head after a suprise attack while drinking.

I just noticed in the first panel (panels?), rather than being pissed like how DIO is, Jotaro is visibly *TERRIFIED.* No anger, no visible hate, just pure, outright fear.

jotaro couldve easily been a villain. but his conviction always woke up him and did not let him stray into the path of evil like dio.
