If Brazzo surf fans showed an iota of humility and reason from time to time, people would take them more seriously in those times when their whining is actually justified.

Italo did massive air onto dry rock yesterday but he lost. I thought he snapped legs on landing, I promise where he landed is pretty much close to dry.. high risk zero reward…
Also if you surf the first 7/8 of a wave mediocrely compared to you competition and huck one big air as your final maneuver is that really a better score? Not in my eyes.
I am not biased towards one or the other nationality and I 100% agree. Having watched the heat live I was only wondering how big his number got, not if he got it (3rd wave of Italo). Maybe in Persn was different though, as the commentators were a little sceptical if he got the number or not.
Calling a judgment you question "Mayham" is intentionally trying to fool me, and I resent the lack of respect, so will never click on this channel again, because there are plenty of other surf content channels that don't do click bait.
Griff had better style and pushed every maneuver more powerfully in critical parts of the wave. Italo surfed great but was not the same level of combos with speed and power. Although Italo should have been scored higher, Griff still deserved the win.
These men and women are all exceptional I think they should tour to promote an amazing ability that only dedication and sacrifice can allow they all need trophies the life lessons to youngsters is the prize.
It’s not the worst it’s just more predictable. Can get redundant. But it’s better than watching guys grovel in 2 ft surf. And if the technology allows for different kinds of waves it could get better.
Surfing is so subjective and so personal, I don’t even know how it can be judged. Used to be how many turns one could do, to the beach. Now it’s a whole other level. It’s the only sport in the world that has an ever changing canvas. No one wave is the same and tides, wind and lulls play a huge role. The last few years I’ve found professional competitive surfing quite boring. I mean, if I was a judge, based and performance and style, Ethan Ewing and John John would win every time!
The Brazilians are so used to getting over scored in every heat that they can't take fair judging. Look... Everyone is sick of reverses and chop hops! Learn something new!
Disgusting the way WSL judges these contests where they know what scores surfers need to win. Brazil has for years been underscored and ripped off because they dominate. The Aussie-American run WSL is doing everything they can to break Brazil's dominance, like this ridiculous Trestles playoff where a no. 5 surfer can win the world championship in one day on mediocre waves. Unfair to Carissa Moore last year and unfair to the real No. 1, who in the men's division is almost always a Brazilian and the women's true champion is still Carissa Moore.
I live in the bay opposite supers, they ran contest yesterday but next week Tuesday to Thursday it’s be pumping? Yet they decide to make them surf in not even an average day at the best right hand point? Trying to make it into Super Bowl dumbest choice yet.. tour use to be exciting you did not know how it would end up, sometimes competitors start strong other improve towards end of year making it a strategic, that be gone now, f&$k the wsl

Bad judging has ALWAYS been a problem.

Griff was much smother than Italo. Plus Italo fell and has done the same combo 4 years in a row at the ranch. Not really innovative in my eyes.

Not to take away from Colapinto as he is an real artist but I wondered what I was missing when Medina and Italo exited.

yep, I wached it and i agree with the judging for grif in simi but the final was not right italo was under scored on the right.
