I havent installed one of these tanks but.... thats got to be the best install vid Ive seen. No skipping steps, clear shots of what youre doing, and no ambiguity.
Great work, A lower 25 - 30 liter two piece with a storage area for tools and tubes in the middle would be awesome, I understand and appreciate the work involved in creating these tanks great job and the video is simple but topnotch in its delivery.
Greetings, As always another brilliant detailed video production 🇺🇲🍾🎉🇺🇲 Would you provide me with the link to purchase the skid plate. Thank you so much for assisting me and keep producing more videos
@Safari_Tanks I've seen somevon MADTV and Adam Riemann's channel. Motology Films. Good kit. They are times I could use that much volume. I ride the arctic areas hard pack gravel dirt mud pretty good road for a big bike. But limited services. Same down in the Rovky Mtn areas out in the desert. All good
Next time, I would suggest removing the dead horse from the room, before starting the filming process. That way you'd have less flies 🤔😉. Honestly…great video. Very well broken down. I don't even own a T7 but I watched the whole thing👌
I haven’t even bought my T7 yet and I’m excited. The World Raid isn’t offered in the US, and I’m hoping this’ll be the thing that finally gets me to replace my Enfield for something bigger.
So excited to get this. Gonna be a year or two to save up but well worth it. Thanks for doing this. Would love to see the Same style of rally tank for the new DRZ4S as well! That would make it an epic small adv!

That is purely ridiculous, you know, I know it, and Yamaha knows it. I find it entertaining thats small corners of the masses question experienced motorcycle designers, making some of the most impressive and reliable machines on the planet , and in history, and yet every Tom Dick and Harry seems to know better....your comment is unbelievable, and unrealistic. Motorcycles..all motorcycles, are modifiable...its in the DNA of the sport. Its called customizing. Get into it, and don't expect a bike to be made just for you...because then...few people would buy it...get my drift...? To buy a bike strictly because of how many litres it holds....is strange criteria, its a reflection on your wider knowledge of motorcycles. There are only so many to choose from...in the end.
No, that is ridiculous, it is not how it "should" have been. The tank size is just fine, and easily modified to suit with aftermarket. Most riders don't need anymore than 16L. Keep in mind this bike is marketed successfully to suit "most" riders. I am one of them. 45 liters off the showroom floor, come on..come on...really? did you really think your comment through. Ya maybe 20 liters or 22 liters, come one dude.
What is the weight difference (empty) from the OEM tank to the 45L. Thanks for the video. Would love to sit up on one or even bring it for a quick spin. Check out the handling when full.
1 liter of fuel weighs 0.74kg. OEM tank holds roughly 16 liters of fuel =11.84kg. 45 liters will weigh 33.3kg. So extra fuel weight added is roughly 21.5kg. Minus the old tank's dry weight. Then you have to add the new tank's dry weight and all the hardware. Plus the new skid/bash plate. Could probably be more than 30 kg + added to the bike. But I reckon the COG will be lower now than with the OEM tank
COG is definitely better placed than the OEM tank and you can feel it when riding. We're looking into explaining a few more things like that in the near future.
@ outstanding, looking forward to that. I’m thinking I can always run lower tank volume when not needed if it’s light enough (some rougher or muddier terrain where I have lots of falls and lifts) if the overall weight dosent go up much. One tank does all. Very conscious of weight from my tenere 660 in Australia. Currently considering a T7 or Kove800 for Africa trip.T7 runs on lower grade/octane fuels but weight………
Ya, this should deal with all the whining about the T7 not having a big enough tank. Clearly you can purchase and install any size tank you want these days, whether its a DR or...what ever. Certainly this is for a small market so good on Yamaha for keeping the tank relatively small for the average rider...Too much whining going on out there, most newbies forgetting that motorcycles have long been "modifiable", gives us something to do, and be creative...Really nice finished product. The original T7's are going down in history...

hahahahahahahaha 45 litres hahahahaha take the god damn 4wd, how ridiculous, there is no where on the planet you need anything like 45litres on a bike and ive done the outback several times on 15 litres as there is no where on earth you are ever going to be more than 400km from a servo---no where
If you travel in South America, Africa or Asia there could be problems with GOOD quality petrol access but more importantly is what level is 18l of fuel to ride everyday
Are you sure about that? I get that 45 is huge, they went big...pretty much double of the World Raid etc. Anyhow. I live in Canada, and of course you have to go far away from civilization to need this range I agree, but from my experience as a rider, mostly short range, small tanks, I always have to factor in...having to turn around....because the trail is blocked etc....or washed out...or on fire...or? It is a fantastical size yes, but for the small market it serves it looks pretty darn good to me. What occurs to me is that the fill is not always necessary...so 30 liters all hanging very low, with built in crashable sides etc. You raise a good point, and the ADV world has gone a bit nuts, and yes just have far out in the middle of nowhere do you want to go..and why? I laugh at it sometimes too. But...The ARiemann series and the fellas that developed and tested this tank make the point pretty clear that sometimes the gas stations you refer to....run out of fuel...or are closed. The big tank gives the rider a significant back up plan. I like the effort and the quality, .Not that I would ever buy a such a thing..I am happy with 16 liters, coming from 10 on my DR400 etc......cheers.....but I think you might be wrong about your 400km statement.....
@@666dualsport who says you HAVE to fill it up every time? The 20L mark of this tank is just above ankle height. The lower COG difference is another benefit of this tank not just total capacity.

Hi there! The B&B plate is included in the purchase price and comes with the tank when you purchase it from our website.
Good vid step by step. Like the low fuel placement. All you need normally under your knees.
That's one of the purposes of the tank. We've loved it on our test rides!

Get on the website they already do a 25ltr

what is the estimated range with this setup
27000000000000kms

more than 600miles range ?!
