The way you do it is the way I was taught. I believe this to be more correct than the video's way. These videos shouldn't be necessary, but some take longer to learn stuff.
@@teleskopossomnium do you know the difference between Park and Neutral? And, the e-brake isn’t an e-brake. It is a parking brake. It isn’t intended to be used in an emergency.
It really depends on the car, as they all have different transmission mechanics. This is not necessary in more newer cars, and maybe could cause more harm than good. Always read the manual from the car manufacturer.
BULLSHIT, with electronic brakes when you shift to NEUTRAL then apply the Electronic Handbrake, if you put your Footbrake on so you can shift from NEUTRAL to PARK the electronic Handbrake will DISENGAGE
Nice video, not many know. I keep my foot on the brakes, put to park, engage ebrake, let of brakes

Don't let go of the break pedal when shifting to "P" because "R" might engage.
Bmw automatik goes in park when you shut down the engine
Thanks. After shifting the gear to ‘N’, do you release the break pedal?
