Thank you. Now that I am retired I have been wanting to build a timber framed workshop. You made all the cuts yourself, and not a kit. That is awesome!
Hi David, beautiful building. How did you design it from an engineering point of view? How did you know how to size the joints, or what size posts and sills to use?
amazing. maybe one day..just started dabbling in diy, building myself a room divider...and tho part of the fun was all the power tools and toys, I've been getting intrigued by minimalist/ less power tools designs (after all, we didn't have those before and have amazing buildings and castles in the world..). anyway, very cool. 1 question tho: are those stones gonna remain the foundation or is this something temporary? some of the stacked ones would concern me (but again, i know shit all about just what came to mind). ie where's part 2/3, etc? we wanna see the full result!
Hey Goldie! Thanks for the kind words, I'm usually trying to do what I can with the tools at hand. Some prefer hand tools and others machines, I like them both! Sorry to say that this was filmed in a hurry, didn't really have the time to film the other parts even if that was the plan to begin with... Will hopefully be able to film more of my projects in the future. :) We are not to worried about the stone foundation, no. If we will be, we will fix it at that point!
@@davidnikkinen4521 Thx for the reply. Again, super cool. look fwd to more of your vids if you plan on doing them. Went down the rabbit hole watching all those Japanese joinery vids, and you seem to be doing a lot of that, so would love tutorials too. how you use those chisels etc. Anyway, cool, good to know the stones are solid. a few of the stacks at least watching it just on a small screen here almost looked like the ones you do on the beach so i worried about the smaller pieces stacked on top of hte larger perhaps wobbling and falling. But like I said, it likely looks diff in person and glad to hear it is. Anyway, again, super super cool. Would also make a killer greenhouse :)

Well, thank you! All the cuts were indeed made by me. Sounds like a plan to me, best of luck with your build!
Great video as always 👍
Thanks, I'm glad to hear, it means alot!
What a awesome job!
Thank you!

Grymt 🤩
Tack så mycket!
Wonderful work, how did you learn to do this?
Hi, what is the joint at 17:43 called? and how have you "closed" the roof? I am stuck at this step. Thank you.
It might have a name, I just made it up because it fitted my needs so well!
How do you mean by closed the roof?
What software did you use for design?
I believe it was fusion 360
