The Mario movie is the epitome of American corporate cash grabs hahaha, YMS did a great review on it, the freaking Minion studio crapped out a cookie cutter vanilla movie for babies and everyone flipped out at the bare minimum effort movie because it has a marketable character. Honestly for all its flaws the old Mario movie had more creativity, style and originality hahah.

Thank you Nick for that Sotetsu commercial, absolutely amazing filmmaking and artistry in that shot. Sometimes you see a shot like that and the point of the shot is to just get it done, but sometimes the point of the shot is the difficulty and artistry and complexity of the process. The more you think about it the most amazing it becomes. The lighting, the camera rig control, the moving set, the DOZENS of actors who all have to get it right in one take. Sometimes the artistry is the point, and the point is the artistry.

@@JustTheWarning every once in a while they do a video reacting to animation. This film would be perfect for that. Mario may be fully animated, but that doesn't mean there aren't interesting techniques to talk about. People who work in animation still need to come up with creative solutions for special effects, animation, lighting, modeling, etc. for animated films, just like visual effects artists do for live action films.

The thing about trains in japan is that, because trains are a huge part in people's life. Very little people own a car, but common to go anywhere with the train in here. That's why there's so many people love trains and will just go on trips only to experience different trains. It's more then a transportation, but a thing that effects ppls daily lives.
Also, the title of the commercial (which is written as a anniversary video for a new line that started last month) was "The scenery of father and daughter", and the line before the father walked out is "Tokyo, so far huh" "eh, but so fast wasn't it?" "I guess so", which is sure telling not about trains but the relationship and times that passed. This just shows how great Japanese capture life imo.

Okay Sam, lemme explain how much you exaggerated that percentage.
the Bourne Ultimatum is ~9500 seconds long, and the shot in question is ~4 seconds long.
That shot accounts for ~0.04% of the movie.
As opposed to 0.0000000001%, which would account for ~0.0000000093 seconds, or ~9.3 nanoseconds of the movie.
There are a billion nanoseconds in a single second.
A single frame at 60 fps is ~16 milliseconds , which is 16 million nanoseconds.
So that means, your percentage estimation could repeat itself 1.7 million times within a single frame.

Here some Chinese movies for your VFX reaction:
    - The Wandering Earth huge 2019 blockbuster.
    - Moon Man , a comedy with a lot of VFX "on the moon"
    - Detective Chinatown 3 have some pretty cool scenes to check.
Will give more when I remember 😅
