Thank you so much!I'm so glad you enjoy it! I'll keep making more videos like this! The autumn and winter bento is coming soon! Hope you will like it, too!
Thank you~!! I don't cool them before cutting. The key is to wet your knife with a damp towel every time you cut so that rice doesn't stick! Hope you succeed!
@@TakoshihoCooksJapan thank you so much for replying back 🥰 actually my question is how come your suchis are very tight ( it makes it easier to cut them )
@@farahadams5267 @Farah Adams I see. I think it's because I use proper sushi rice (vinegar, salt and sugar mixture into freshly cooked hot Japonica rice, and let it cool to absorb well) and roll with a bamboo mat♪ You can also watch this, too how to roll it. ua-cam.com/users/shortsfr9Cp-4vndA

I always thought it was tricky to clean the wooden box and put a layer of alum foil or baking paper inside...does the sauce in the meatball gets into the box and stay?
To be honest, it took over 2 hours total. lol I know it's unrealistic that I make a bento like this every single morning, but I just wanted to make a special bento using all the seasonal ingredients this time. 🙏🙏
It took forever... I mean 2 hours or so while taking a video😂😂. No mom take this long to make a bento for kids actually, but I just wanted to show a bento which is full of popular dishes and techniques. Hope you understand it.
Thank you for asking! I use the mixture of A 2 tbsp rice vinegar 2 tbsp sugar or honey 2 tbsp soy sauce 2 tbsp water B 1 tsp potato starch or corn starch 2 tsp water Mix A, then heat it up in a small pot in low heat. Mix B, then add it in the pot after turning off the heat. Mix all together well, then turn on the heat again and stir gently until the sauce get thick. Hope you’ll like this sauce:)
I’m a Japanese living in Japan. There are a lot of bento styles here, and I just focused on the seasonality which is very important in our culture. If you think this bento is not authentic, l understand. I’ll keep doing my best.
