I couldn’t afford it, but even if I could, I couldn’t trust myself with this kind of performance. Your doing 100mph at the top of 3rd gear. It’s just absurd.
We just threw a titanium exhaust on ours, and with the boost mode on, in sport plus, we get 2.2-2.3 0-60 times consistently. I’ve never been more impressed with any car I’ve ever driven, and that includes everything not just the speed.
A belated comment, but I drove one of these at Barber for the Porsche Driving Experience. About forty laps. The car eliminates straights. The grip is amazing, especially going through the Corkscrew. The most technical section of the track. Unless you're Pat Long, you will never exploit this car's envelope. The situational awareness on your brain above 5000 RPM can easily overload your senses when it goes into boost. We ran these cars behind an instructor, and as the name implies, it was an experience. Thanks for capturing the magnitude of this car.
Can't stop and think about the eletrification of the 911 line. In my opinion the next 911 is the 99X Electric that competes on Formula E, the only thing stopping it to be sold as a true 911 is the weight of the batteries, maybe when solid state batteries get cheaper we could see a road version of the 99X Electric. I wish you could review it so we could check my crazy theory hahah
I'm noticing a fair number of 911 guys are switching to the Taycan. You get a lot of the same qualities but a much more practical design and amazing economy. If y'all are thinking of a 911, go test drive a Taycan too!
If there’s one small thing I don’t like about the 992 is the chrono and the rpm gauge default grey and there is no option for black. I miss the black gauge and chrono. Can only pick between grey, white , yellow, red and green
Acceleration from a stop isn’t even the craziest thing about this car, this car is even faster in the mid range. Going from 40 to 60 mph in second gear takes 1 second. This car does 60 to 120 in 3.5 seconds.
This is why I laugh when people want a Turbo S with a manual. It does 0-30 in 0.9 seconds. Ain’t NO way any driver is going to be shifting that fast out of first into second and then just a second later shifting again into third. You’re not going to be as quick or as efficient as pdk.
@@992turbos Yeah if you wanna row gears get a GT3 touring or a 911T. Just pure fun. Turbo S is simply meant to be the epitome of speed and performance. Right now the best way to augment its motor is a fast gearbox.

I honestly love porsche, but in this segment I'd take a Tesla Model S Plaid. It will do everything this car can at half the cost while being more comfortable. I don't track my cars and wouldn't even be able to reach the limits of both realistically as most of us would get the most out of the Plaid anyways.
These two cars are in a completely different segment and you cant really compare them. The only common thing both have is that they accelerate very fast. And to say a Plaid will do anything a Turbo s will do is simply wrong. The Porsche is one of the best and most advanced sportscars you can get. You dont only get very fast acceleration but also very good handling, brakes, seating position, high quality interior and just decades of engineering experience combined in a car. Of course the Tesla is better if you are just looking for a fast accelerating and practical daily driver but thats not really what the Porsche is aiming for...
