Hey Mike...good to see that you're back and the layout is active again. This video reminded me...being a badge holder for a fire buff club that operates a special service unit canteen truck for the firefighters on scene. We would serve them hot coffee and sandwiches to keep them strong and energized at the scene of a fire. When the call came in over five alarm, our cry was "smoke show'in... we're go'in ! 🚒⛑️🚒 Hi Chief Christian !
Thank you for checking out my videos and your compliment on my collection. I appreciate it, if there is any future content you’d like to see, please let me know. Mike 👍🚂
WELL HELLO SMILEY MIKE THANKS FOR INVITING ME TO YOUR TRAIN ROOM SORRY I HAVENT BEEN CHATTING WITH YOU LATELY WE WERE AT ASHLAND TRAIN DAY IN VIRGINIA THIS PAST SATURDAY WHAT A DAY IT WAS SEEING GREAT FRIENDS IVE KNOWN FOR MANY MANY YEARS LOTS OF CSX AND AMTRAK RUN BYS GOD BLESS ;-)
Hello Carl! Sounds like a great trip, Amtrak! You have to be in heaven on earth! I know you’re such a big Amtrak fan. I’m happy you were able to visit friends also, sounds like a win…win trip. God Bless!!
@@Crazy4TrainsToysNHobbies I am more for steam locomotives then desile locomotives, There are some of the older desile locomotives that I do like from the 1960s in I remember correctly they are the e and f units and that kind of body style.
@@Crazy4TrainsToysNHobbies Have you seen Zach new rebuild on his first layout at all yet? I say he is doing a great job on it and I have given him some many different ideas for his layout also.
I see the curtains are missing on the back of the 4-8-4 Niagara steam locomotive of yours and the drop plate going from the steam locomotive to the tender. I still need to fins a 4-8-4 Niagara NEW York central steam locomotive in 0 scale to pull my 7 heavy weight new york central passenger cars and it is hard to find them in good condition and for a good price used where you are not getting ripped off.
Yes! One of my friends adds on details to all his O scale locomotives as well. I am going to get this one dialed in, I just picked it up in November and have been busy on other projects. I have 7 Lionel NYC Heavy Weights, Pullman green and 4 3rd rail. I agree, great cars!
@@Crazy4TrainsToysNHobbies I understand and my heavyweight Passenger cars are like a dark greenish black color to me and they are the New York Central passenger cars and I have seven of them and plan to add more of the same passenger cars to the set, The other thing I need is the 4-8-4 New York Central Niagara steam locomotive in 0 scale to pull my passenger cars because I do not have a steam locomotive that will pull my seven heavyweight Passenger cars at all.
@doctordeath.5716 the Lionel Century club version and the MTH I was running in this video seem to be the most affordable versions and come up for sale the most. They are out there for sure on eBay and auctions, I just rarely see them at train shows.
@@Crazy4TrainsToysNHobbies I have seen them on eBay and the sellers are asking way to much for them, I saw a few of them that where all beat up and the paint was all messed up and they wanted 1200.00 dollars for it and it needed big time repairs and they the other seller's would be dicking my friend around that was trying to get me the right steam locomotive I need and it pissed me and my friend off, so he took care of the seller in the review department with eBay and called eBay and talked to the people at ebay, I will just say that seller's does not have a 100% positive review anymore.
Yes your caboose is facing the wrong way and my friend tought me that the smokestack on the caboose always faces the very back of the train because you do not want the smokestack in the way because of the smoke coming out of the smokestack and looking out for Journal box fires.
@Crazy4TrainsToysNHobbies I got it as a 3 tape set. It was Water Level Route, Hudsons along the Hudson and The Lightning Stripers. [Diesels] I'll have to pull them out to see. It's been a bit!
I have looked around for a 4-8-4 Niagara steam locomotive and found one that was all beat up and needed alot of repairing and the person wanted 1000.00 dollars for it, well that is how much it coast brand new when they first came out, I said to my friend that the seller feel and bumped there dam head hard asking that price for something that is going to need alot of repairing and painting also, My friend did message the seller and told them that what I said.
Yeah, that’s really high for a PS2 5Volt. Rule of thumb I follow, is if it has a 5Volt board I figure room for a $300 PS3 upgrade, unless it’s a model they never made with PS2 3Volt or PS3, I’d might pay a little more for it since I’ll never find it with those electronics. I’ll typically pay 50% to 65% of what a PS1 or PS2 5Volts original price was, or just spend full pop to get a new PS3 model if it’s available.
Hi John! One Z4000, left side powers the outside two loops, and the right side powers the inside, extended figure 8. Each side was powering two locomotives and drawing about 2 amps per side. These are very efficient runners, even with cruise to maintain speed up the 14’ long inclines. Thanks for asking and checking out the video! I appreciate you!
What's better than a large freight run? A smoky large freight run!
Thanks for sharing.
Exactly! Thanks Marcus!
Great video Mike. I love the Shay and the Climax.
Thank you Corey! 👍
Very nice locomotives, lot's of smoke and awesome sounds. Thank you for another great video Mike.
You are welcome Roger, I appreciate it. Thank you for tuning in! 🚂👍
Gotta love those Shays! Thanks for sharing, Mike
They are fun to watch for sure. Thank you 👍
Mike, that was a lot of fun! Thanks for "smokin' it up" for us. Have a great day!

The Empire Stare Express yes! The Dreyfuss are MTH cars so not 21”.
