Thank You for making a great memory for these old timers!
Old men crack me up! Makes me miss my Grandpa. When he started cursing about where his tag was I lost it and started laughing as hard as you did! Great video Randy!
Oh, you should hear the raw footage. We would have to put it on an adult-rated channel. It went on for about five minutes and he continued ranting about it for two more hours. One of my best hunting experiences. Thanks for watching.
Randy Newberg, Hunter id love to see the uncut footage to this hunt haha. Looks like everyone had a blast!! Good shooting from everyone, one of my favorite videos. Keep them coming Randy.
heres the "lost tag episode"

My favorite episode. Hands down.
I’ve seen every episode with randy i believe over the years now my little 5 year old watches them all over again plus the new ones with me and this one is his favorite he’s watched it over and over with me and on his iPad he thinks watching these older men hunt is hilarious.truly enjoy and appreciate the content randy.
By far my FAVORITE episode. Sounded just like my Grandpas.
Great character, Great Respect, Great Friendships. Humanity & Humbleness lives in ur heart Randy! You're truly not only a great hunter but a great human being! Lucky to have wise men as friends. Old timers been around so to teach, give good advice, guide you down the right path because they seen it all. Is a blessing!
+Prem Skee - Probably the most memorable hunt we've done in this TV project. Ole is in his last days. I stopped by his house last month. He has no idea who I am. Sad to see, but grateful that Neil helped me get him out for what was Ole's last buck. Thanks for the kind comments.
This was the first episode, now out of many, that I watched and the reason I kept on watching. Your concern for your friend, Ole, to have at least one more hunt and your light hearted prank with his tag showed me you have the right attitude towards life and hunting. I like to support that.
This is a great video and funny. I thank you for caring about your friends and older hunters sir. I hunted with the same friend for almost 50 years. First to go was his eyes do to an eye disease, he could still see to 50-75 yards so I was his eyes and ears. My friend was in his late 80's then. We roamed all the mts. in PA for a longtime and we killed many a deer. He could only hunt 2-3 days as it wore him down. He would always tell me go hunt I am to old, well when it was hard for him to walk I would drive him around and get him close to deer as we knew all the old logging roads from longtime ago. I would walk many miles as you did trying my beast to run one by for him. We always had fun no matter if we got a deer or not, just being together was just fine with us. Now we did this from his late 80's till he was 94 years old. At 95 his body was just wore out and let him down. He got his buck and doe tags in 2015 but could not go, he wanted to shoot a doe for his daughter very badly. With three days to go before I return to California he ask me will you try to get a doe for my daughter. I hunted hard for 2 1/2 days with no luck but at 3:00 P M the last day I finally see a big doe at 370 yards away, I creep to within 330 yards shoot and down she goes, I have a deer for my friend for his daughter, very touching moment for me. Now I am a joker also so home I go take all my gear inside say nothing to him at all. Finally he says see anything I said yeah two and went to the rest room to wash the blood off my hands quickly, come back out and sit down start talking to him for 30 mins. he said no luck huh well maybe next year I can get one for her. I did not get all the blood off my hands and he sees it and said didn't get a deer huh, I said you asked me if I saw any deer right, I looked at him with tears in my eyes and said yes WE got a big doe he shook my hand and hugged me and said thank you. Five weeks later he passed away. We started out just friends and he turned out to be my second father after my dad passed away. Sir you helping your friends reminded me of this, very much touched me. God Bless you.
That is an amazing story, Vic. Thanks for sharing it. We need more friends like you wrote about, more like Ole and Neil. They make life richer. My best to you.
Yes sir, thank you.
Just great, love Ole. What a character!
+Chris Holmes - Oh Chris, if you could hear the audio of the rough cut, character would be amplified in a big way. He is one of the true characters of his time.
I can just imagine that rough cut, based on what made it into the show, LOL! I have an old retired farmer friend who to me represents the hunting history in Alberta. He hunted back in the days of multi week pack trains into the mountains, shot 2 alberta caribou (for which hunting has been closed since around 1970), grizzlies and mountain goats when they were OTC tags (our grizzly hunt has now been closed for around 10 years and mountain goat is now a once in a lifetime hunt if you can get drawn (random draw, no priority)). Lots of good stories.
Gotta tell you Randy I'm a little sad now. I think I've watched all of your shows on youtube :(
I think I need to start researching what states a canadian can come down and hunt antelope on their own and start building some priority. I'll likely hunt antelope this fall in Alberta, but the next time I draw I'll likely be in my 60's, and that's just way to long to wait!
Thanks,
Chris
Thanks Randy! This Show reminds me of Hunting with my Dad and Uncles. I sure miss hunting with them. I think we laughed more then we hunted. Now I'm the old fart hunting with my Son, Son-in-law and grandson. Thanks for the memories!
Glad it made you smile. Hope you have many more of those hunts as "the old fart." Best to you.
Great clip...it's what hunting should be about...good friends enjoying themselves in the woods. Getting a deer is just an added bonus...
Great Hunt, This is what hunting is all about, great memories with great friends. Thank you for sharing this.
Great story Randy, thanks for letting us along for the adventure.
Thanks for watching.
What a great message! Miss my uncle who was my fav hunting partner. He did everything well, except play cribbage after our camp dinner. 😂
Id like to thank you for being the closest thing to a hunting mentor I have ever had. When I get an someday elk/deer ill think of you.
Thank you. And thanks for watching. I hope you have great times and good luck when you are out in the field.
truly amazing, I can't have greater respect for your actions. I remember taking my 83 year old grandpa on an antelope hunt. he's gone now, but spending time with those old timers hunting is something to cherish
+Remington Santillanez - Thanks. This was his last deer hunt. He is now struggling with so many health issues. It was one of the most memorable weekends ever spent while filming a TV show.
Randy, great video and great hunt. Brings back some wonderful memories for me.
It made me laugh to see and hear the swearing friendship of your old friends. Hello from Marion Montana!
Thanks for watching.
You got the best of his good days to remember forever! You also take care of yourself through your conditions as well. looking forward to more videos!
Great dang hunting video... Younger generation giving back to the older generation.
Awesome video. This reminds me so much of huntin with my grandpa and great grandpa. Having to be the brush dog and push everything to them haha. Ole reminds me so much of my great grandad, some of the best huntin partners ever.
Glad you liked it. This turned out to be his last deer hunt. What a grand time it was.
One of the best videos Randy has ever come out with. :) Cracks me up every time.
Thanks. A year ago next week, we lost Ole to Alzheimers. What an ugly disease.
That made my day seeing the old guy smile at his buck.
Mine too. Thanks for watching.
great video, fun to watch all the interactions and tags being filled!
This makes me so happy!
I'm from Montana too & have taken a lot of old guys out that hunting like that & also salmon fishing in Washington. Always a lot of fun. I have always gotten along well with older people like that! To bad a lot of these young kids now days do not respect their elders like were all raised to do!!
Great video! You guys really capture what hunting is all about! Great shot on that buck at the end btw
It was great fun. Thanks for watching.
This might be one of my favorite videos yet i have watched of yours Randy! You have gained yet more respect from me!
Thanks for watching. Ole is in the final stages of Alzheimer's and it is hard to watch him deteriorate.
I want to go hunting with Ole and Neil, great hunt guys

Great video😊
Great video Randy. I wish I had a hunting buddy like Ole
We all could use a buddy like Ole.
Great show Randy. Reminds me of all the times I got to sit with my grandpa on stand. sure miss that ol man. I know him and your dad are still great friends hunting up in the big Sky. You should really do a hunt back in MN.
Thanks, Coty. Yes, I suspect they are sitting there, telling Finlander jokes, and solving the whitetail problems of the big North Woods. I do need to get back there and do an episode some year. Thanks for watching.
"Grandest of the Grand"!! For sure. Awesome video. Love it
Glad you liked it. Ole passed away two weeks ago. This was his last deer.
Very sorry to hear. Didn't want to ask. He struck me as a very special person.
Good stuff!
Just recently found you channel here in April of 2018! This was one of the most enjoyable hunts I’ve ever seen!!! Thanks for sharing!! This is what hunting is all about!!!!! Cheers from Texas!!!
Thanks for watching. Glad you liked it. Unfortunately, this was Ole's last hunt. He passed away in late January.
This made my day, couldn't ask for better hunting buddies.
+John Milmine - Thanks, John. I think all can relate to some special friends and special experiences.

Great friends, for sure. We lost Ole in January.

Glad to hear. Thanks for watching.
Awesome hunt!
Man, I wish that I could hunt Whitetails but I never have I hope to someday.
I always carry with a round in the chamber. Been doing it 25 years never had an issue
Hilarious when he got mad but I was so happy for him
This is awesome. Great video randy. You are a damn good guy
Thanks. Guys like Ole and Neil make the pleasure all mine.
Great video
That was a good video, nice job!
Thanks. Was great fun.
Randy I love watching your videos but, I have to tell you I think this video inpeticular was my favorite. I think Olie had me laughing almost as much as you were. Great story as well.
It is one of my favorites, also. Not sure what I did to deserve such a great friend.
great great video
Thanks for watching.
loved the video! If you ever get tired of freezing in January and want to come down south for a public land whitetail hunt in the lone star state, get in contact sometime. I'd love to see some videos from my home state
Thanks for watching. I wish I could take the many kind invites I get. But, the show travel schedule, a real job that pays my bills, and family keep me from being able to do that. Thanks again.
Nice video Randy
Thanks for watching.
Last year I went on my first hunt with my grandfather who can be a little bit of a show off The one and only shot he took with his 25-06 was at a Whitetail doe at 423 yards. Neck shot. You could hear the snap of the neck
Enjoy your grandfather(s) while you can. They are a treasure. Thanks for watching.
Hey randy, how are these old timers doing these days?
My dad, Ole Olsen, passed away in 2018 from complications of pneumonia…I miss him everyday and thank Randy and Neil for being his hunting partner over the years…I only wish I could’ve been there with them.
Randy this put a big smile on my face!!
Hey Randy,
Awesome video!
I'm looking to plan a Montana Whitetail hunt like this. Love the cottonwoods and the terrain in general.
Any outfitter recommendations you could provide? Milk river? Thoughts?
Thanks,
David
If Milk River is on your list, Eric Albus is the guy to hunt with. He owns Milk River Outfitters. Thanks for watching.
Thanks Randi! Much appreciated. I'll check him out although I just read that his whitetail hunts are very limited...
I wish I had a grandpa to go hunt with
Hope you find something to go with.
great job!! when is oyoa season 5 coming out?
It is now called Fresh Tracks. There are four of those Fresh Tracks seasons here on UA-cam. Season Five will be out later this summer. Thanks for watching.
Hahahaha. Would have loved to been there. Looked like a great time.
It was a great time. We lost Ole a year ago due to Alzheimers.
So sad. Lost an aunt that way. Randy, I want to thank you for getting my interest back into hunting. Grew up in Lincoln National Forest in New Mexico, and hunted lots of Mule deer. Never killed one. Shot my first deer in the Gila Wilderness in 94’. Last time I hunted. Moved to Oklahoma and it’s just not the same. Planning an Elk hunt soon I hope. Would love to invite you. Just leave the cameras behind, don’t want to be embarrassed. Hahahaha. Truly thank you for your videos. Learning a lot.
Every old guy in greater Minnesota is named Sven or Ole.
what caliber rifle do you use for deer and elk
+Cracken 23 - Most often a .308 Win. If I am only hunting deer, it will usually be a 7mm-.08. Both are the Howa Alpine Mountain Rifle. Thanks for watching.
Who the heck clicked thumbs down? Great video.
Always some who give every one of our videos a thumbs down. We could show Mother Theresa rescuing orphans and those folks would give it a thumbs down. Thanks for watching.
Randy Newberg, Hunter ya, I believe that. I'll be elk/deer hunting the Custer-Gallatin in a few weeks. Love your videos, information, and passion!
Good luck.
Good thing it went click...pretty sure it was a spike buck. Lucky click....lol
It was a doe he was aiming at. There was a buck further behind.
