I think I just found my new favorite UA-cam channel.
A channel dedicated to finding and reviewing Co-Op games!? I spend way to much time trying to find good Co-Op games, so this channel is like a gold mine.
This was the exact video on this I was looking for. Short but not too short, well paced, and gives us the gist of what we're getting into without getting lost in the weeds. Thanks for doing this, cheers!
Great review! Thank you for being precise on why you liked it and for exploring the coop!
I honestly had no idea co-op existed lol thanks for giving the overview! Might be interesting to check out.
You deserve more recognition, all hail co-op games
Thank you 🙏🏼
This is on my “I will buy it” list but have a couple titles to finish first. The coop makes me look forward to it that much more!
All-hail gamepass
Gotta get some friends to play this with me. Got it and played for a few hours yesterday, and I am already hooked.
exactly the explainer I was looking for. thanks bros
Great video as always! Convinced me to grab this for me and my bro
Cheers :) finally a video that explains the COOP :)
In addition to your reviews, I love this type of video - thanks much!
Mmmm-pressions! Overall I like the idea of mmpressions that go through what the co-op is like, as there are definitely cases where I've had to search for videos that explain it or watch Let's Plays.
Haha we fixed the thumbnail 🤪 But yeah we felt it can be a quick way to give our thoughts on a game at launch!!
Amasing. I will definetly play this gem.
How every top down RPG isnt just co op by default. Looking at you Pathfinder. Bewilders me.
Love this game coop is definitely way to go
Few things not covered or not enough, I was wondering:
If you split up, how does engaging in a fight work? Does it draw people in? If not can you join a fight mid battle?
How are knowledge/book points managed?
How are Valor points managed? Shared or everyone has an individual share+whatever they generate?
Yes if you split up and someone engages in a fight, both players will be dragged into the fight.
Knowledge points are shared, not individual so you have to discuss on which ones to invest in. Same with Valor points!
@@TheCoOpBros cheers, much appreciated!
These homies don’t miss! Great video!
Great vid always guys! Might have to check this out after Dead Island 2 drops this week! Also what's the name of the song that starts playing around 5:32? I've heard it in so many of your vids but could never find it lol
Oh shit! So you each get the group kinda split. I was wondering how that’d work. Being able to now just be locked in to one group (as if playing solo) is actually pretty huge
God I want to co-op this so damn bad. Time to resign myself to solo.
One day our discord will be big enough that you can find some partners to play with 🤞🏼
What could have worked better is if co-op changed up the enemy turn orders instead of using single player turn orders with the co-op players are 'considered' to be one actor or player...
Because 1~4 players are considered to have the same control and can literally override each other, it's essentially Remote play, but you all control the same interface, not different controls.
The only 'separate' controls is when you roam the world, I have yet to see anyone using towns to see how that is like, but I'm guessing all party members are forcefully dragged along as the screen transitions.
That’s a good point, in 2 players it didn’t feel like a tug of war ever for control in battle or in the over world but I could see it feeling that way in 4 players.
I wish Solasta was this pretty
Is it possible to play coop locally on one device?
Can you move around as separate groups on the campaign map? It wasn’t that clear to me in the vid
yeah, but you cant separate too much, its an invisible circle (which is big but not enough) so 1 can explore, 2 fights and another take resources for example, but still you all must be in the same zone so...
so how does co-op work, do you control your own "world map" party too or are you all in the same party
Wheres the best place to find coop party, please? :)
This game looks DEEP, maybe a little too much for me but great vid
It definitely is, but comes together surprisingly well. If we all had unlimited time I think we’d love it but yah. 50+ hours don’t exist in this timeline.
Does your friend get drag in to every battle or do the get to free room
They get dragged into every battle!
Seems like this is just battle brothers
Looks interesting but do you really need to have voice chat in co op play?
Yes I’d say you’re gonna want voice chat! A lot of necessary discussion in battles
how many players can co-op? just limited by 2 players?
4 players! Sorry I said that but off-handedly
Seems like this has a lot of potential, but it feels a bit unpolished. The fights look a bit dull on this vast empty area and the camps could be designed better, too. Also less empty area, closer camera view, more options to place the things and characters in a non grid-like fashion. Also the world you travel in could use some detail, it´s not much better and maybe even emptier than a heroes of might and magic map.
Also the fights, as they are more tactical in nature, could benefit a lot from differences in terrain and weather like high-ground and terrain which his harder to move through. It seems like a missed opportunity here, because it´s one of the major factors in real battles.
Also saliing would bring a nice new touch to the game imo
Well, nice enough but you are explaining the game mechanics as they are in SP without really telling me whats going on in MP. Who moves the main party, can both move? Combat, any changes to turn order, who decides what on the meny and buying etc etc. Otherwise, thanks for the video.
