@@itsspookie Just because you stopped playing it doesn't mean that it's not fun anymore lmao. TF2 is still tons of fun, and while Marvel Rivals is fun, no other class based shooter comes close to how much fun tf2 is
As a veteran TF2 player, I'd argue that calling it a "hero shooter" instead of a class shooter is a serious misnomer. In almost all hero shooter examples one character is static; they do not change how their weapon works or how they operate mechanically unless a balance change occurs or a special mode is played. TF2's classes not only change based on the loadout you choose, but by the modes you play. Pyro, for example, changes from a flanker-watcher for the attacking team on payload, to the flank denier and hoarder on king of the hill. Pyro even becomes THE flanker by themself, if you set him up right. You don't see Overwatch characters like Reaper become anything other then a flanker, or Symmetra as a defender in a real hero shooter.
I think TF2 should still be recognized as a hero shooter tbh, simply because the gameplay is based around the balancing of a set number of unique characters that fight each other, I think the class system is just an example of TF2 having a unique game mechanic that sets it apart from other hero shooters, you could say marvel rivals is doing this in a certain way with their choice not to add role queue even though it's kinda standard for keep shooters and even mobas and probably other game types too, I feel like the main reason they wanna do that is to keep themselves from feeling like other games as much as possible

the funny thing is, out of the Three Major May 2016 releases, Magnificent and Metal Doom 2016 and Fun, Hilarious and Underrated Battleborn were the ones with both a story mode and PVP. so, there is a reality where Hero shooters have a story mode(eve a basic one where it is practically a glorified Player vs Bots offine match for training), a Helix system that allows you to modify and upgrade your character as you level up and has MOBA style game modes plus more Player vs Player game modes like Face off? also I am of the opinion that IF Battleborn has stable and had survived until now, we could have had modifiers for First person View and Third Person view as well as no Helix system character modifcation for a leveling up and a Gear store in match. quite interesting to think about.

God I miss Battleborn. Its basically all I could have asked from a MOBA.
I go to League, and I'm put off by the lack of non-competitive game modes and repetition. I go to DOTA, and I'm put off by the utterly sauceless character design and awkward for beginners gameplay.
Battleborn had the multiple game modes, had the good characters, had everything I wanted and was up my alley. But I guess it'll just be my personal Gigantic.
amusingly, IF Gearbox was smart, they would have relaunched Battleborn with offline capabilities for story mode and PVP vs Bots, Server hosting for Story mode COOp and PVP matches, and have a PROPER Free2Play version called Battleborn Shareware Edition with the Dojo, Prolouge, Chapter 1, Random story chapter, Character rotation, PVP with Bots and PVP with other people would have been good for it. monetization for the special skins and as a "buy this currency to support the devs" is a good idea.
Gigantic is also awesome. Paragon was as well.
i’m sorry for your loss brother 🫡
didn’t play it much but i did have a good time with it i can’t lie. kid ultra was my go to
@Noot_Official For me, it was a revolving door of Clockwork(forgot his name) Calaban, and Galatea. It was seeing her in this video that reminded me how much I liked the characters of that game.
Noot try not mention gigantic challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)
it’s an urge i must constantly fight
TF2, is not a hero shooter.
just remember if you think overwatch is bad now theres another reality where battleborn is the competitive standard....
the funny thing is, out of the Three Major May 2016 releases, Magnificent and Metal Doom 2016 and Fun, Hilarious and Underrated Battleborn were the ones with both a story mode and PVP.
so, there is a reality where Hero shooters have a story mode(eve a basic one where it is practically a glorified Player vs Bots offine match for training), a Helix system that allows you to modify and upgrade your character as you level up and has MOBA style game modes plus more Player vs Player game modes like Face off? also I am of the opinion that IF Battleborn has stable and had survived until now, we could have had modifiers for First person View and Third Person view as well as no Helix system character modifcation for a leveling up and a Gear store in match.
quite interesting to think about.
i kinda liked battleborn so i wouldn’t hate it tbh. both got their pros and cons ig
☝️🤓 "uhm acktchually *insert game here* isn't a hero shooter!!!" Like bro shut up make your own video lol. I ❤ you noot and this video was awesome

@Noot_Official I JUST WANT 2 WHY!?!?!!
Tf2 isnt a hero shooter
Its also trash
Didn't watch, came here to dislike and say one thing: Tf2 is a class shooter, take it out of the thumbnail NOW.
“Class shooter” players when their favorite “class” is renamed Jeff. They’re indistinguishable in function. Valve even cashed in on the identification with their meet the series. They’re the same thing lol
@@abyssaldision8272He’s trolling brotha. You fell for the bait lol
Cringe man legit
@@abyssaldision8272 if you don't see the difference between a class shooter like tf2 and a hero shooter you're actually braindead. Tf2 doesn't have any of the hallmarks of a hero shooter.
The classes ARE the characters. Ergo, its a hero shooter.
Noot Noot
hey that’s me
