Pretty much one of the greatest covers of a John Prine song by so many wonderful artists. Anyone who turned a thumbs down on this: please explain yourself...
I'm in Tennessee. One of my best ffriends was dying at the same time. My husband wasn't sure how to tell me about either death. The friend I never met personally.
This song always takes me to a place where we have figured out money means nothing anymore, possessions mean nothing, nobody owns more or less than anyone else and the playing field had been leveled. No role exists for competition. people have to cooperate to make it. Somebody hit the big score and figured out the only shot we had at getting it right was to start over from scratch and coexist.
