When deploying Reinforcements they are placed on any battlefield edge and not within 6" of an enemy model, unless the scenario says otherwise so those 'stealers wouldn't have quite been as in-your-face as they ended up in Turn 2
Aren't there supposed to be initiative tests when you hop over the holes in the floors? I am still very new rules wise so just curious if I have been doing it wrong 😅
If the hole/gap is less than the width of the base of the model they can cross it without testing Initiative (especially convenient for Models on 40mm bases), so in many cases you can 'skirt around it/on the edges of the hole'. That said it is also easy to forget about testing for 'sink holes' on a printed mat (playing on these mats I often catch myself overlooking the holes in the floor; they kinda 'blur' into the background as your mind mainly keeps track of the outlined walls, rather than the floor texture). It is easier to remember to test for 'jumping over' or 'falling into' holes on boards with modelled floors and 3D terrain.

@@janklevaivancic4263Thank you. 😁
You can walk around them
Interesting that you’re seemingly not considering the data stacks to be physical terrain.
Good point! Hard to imagine stuff in 2d
