It is so great to see the progress you have made in the past year! You are doing such a great job with him now that you have figured him out and not afraid to move forward or half halt when you need to. I am in that boat along with you, I have had so many ups and downs with my horse, as an 8 year old angel and also devil when he wants to be. He can be such a saint over the jumps and with not refusing them but after the jumps he likes to take advantage and accumulate speed, especially after a line and I would have trouble getting him back. Add to that the fact that he also bucks and then turns suddenly in the opposite direction I want him to and you have a recipe for disaster. It took months but here we are one year after, and we have made so much progress, with getting him straight to the jump, getting him back etc. Looking back it is so nice to see the progress I made, as my trainer puts it, he's a good horse, but just a lot of horse to handle. I find it interesting to see so many parallels in our story, from getting both our 8 year old warmbloods in last year of April and them being shown at 3'6 before, to our first show being 2'3. I won then, but looking back it was not a good show at all, and I felt bad about my rides. I felt like I was losing control and just trying to push through and it was not a good feeling. It was like he heard the buzzer and was off to the races. So I totally understood how you felt at the shows when you said you were scared and he was too fast. I am glad you have your confidence back and may you have many wonderful years with Revy.
Hey Jess! Recently I have been very obsessed with your channel! Revy reminds me alot of my new horse, it's actually crazy! I love the way you edit your videos with the voiceovers, and the amout of just raw riding videos you put in! This is literally my dream youtube channel, keep up the awesome work!
You've come so far with Revy! I ride a 7 year old KWPN but he came to us as a unusable problem horse and he is doing a lot better now :) I hope to be where you are in a few years
You’re doing really good with him. I have a similar situation right now where I got a horse that I had a lot of trouble with. But now we’re jumping 2’9! Don’t give up. He has a lot of potential
Jess, I need your help. So I love riding and it’s amazing. I’ve been riding for almost 7 years. I had a few falls all in the same time span and my confidence on horseback has gone very down. First, I fell off at a schooling show and hurt my ankle and then I fell off the same horse again when he overjumped and I went to far forward. Since then I’ve fallen off yet another horse because I brought her up to slow and she jumps anyway. Any hoo, every time I ride I’m fine on the flat like I can canter and trot and all that fun stuff but even cantering over poles when the horse kind hops over them I’m afraid of. I just don’t know what to do. I love riding, it my passion but I’m so scared.... I’m not even sure what I’m scared of, I just am. I can’t even jump a very small cross rail with a flower box. My trainer has to move the box. Last time I went she moved the box and I only jumped this one small crossrail. I don’t want to quit riding because I know I can get over this but I’m not sure how. Please help me. Love this video❤️
Loved the video! You should check out Oliva Towers Dressage on UA-cam! She is an English dressage rider but she is also a motivational speaker and mindset coach who has struggled with confidence and mindset for a couple years and shared her journey....she is really motivational and she has really helped my confidence! Hope 2019 is a great year for you x
I think Revy can go for higher jumps you just need to be more confident with his jumping as you know you are you should just get more training on that if you want to that is how high do you jump anyway 60cm tops?
ThEreS AlwAYS a rEaSOn fOR a hOrsE TO dO soMEthIng for real though, my horse is a bratty little ass that likes to test me. God I must've paid my vet enough for him to retire now, theres nothing wrong with my horse, hes just an ass with energy. Sometimes when we're training or eventing he gets way too excited and does these hyper-aggressive happy bucks, jumps, crow hops, random bites at my legs. He just be like that. Maybe your pon has weird happy bursts when training?
the way you sit in the canter really annoys me :( it seems like you just sit there and your legs move all over the place, it’s almost like you don’t hold yourself correctly, although that’s the only fault i can see otherwise u and rev are a very cute match xx
I love that you show the ups and downs of riding. As a nervous rider myself its so nice to see the progression! Love the vids 💖

you’ve been through all the stuff with rev, but the fact that you’ve stuck with him really shows you’re an amazing pair💖

It’s funny because I’m an Eventer and the canter you say is fast is my normal canter over fences 😂
yay the bestist goose
I started sharing my pony a year ago today 😊🧡x
Stupid question but where are you from?
Will you get anymore horses or a horse
What breed is Revy?
wow it’s kinda similar cuz i starting riding my horse in October 10th so😂
where is @jmdphotography
I love remy’s face shape especially if he had a thicker neck
Have you ever been thrown from your horse at show?
I have.... Somebody dropped something and I fell
Why is your instructor allowing you to jump when his flatwork isn't even close to being down pat yet?
I think Revy can go for higher jumps you just need to be more confident with his jumping as you know you are you should just get more training on that if you want to that is how high do you jump anyway 60cm tops?
Dude wtf is wrong with you
