I have wanted to feature a 400 since they came to market. I have a video of a Black Knight 400 from 2022 but it was exciting to catch a regular edition.

If I had one of these, if the warranty was no longer on it, I’d have that def bull crap stripped off of it, my neighbor has a lot of trouble with his because of that junk.

The 400 is an impressive tractor.
We have a 150 case ih maxxum and we plant corn with it and it has auto steer with the pro 700 monorator in it. We also have a case ih 8920 magnum that we do the tillage work with it and it last has Auto steer on it with the fm 750 monorator. We are small farm in dyersville iowa. Do you come to iowa much it would be cool to see you I love your videos.

Doesn't seem like 16 HP is much of a step up from the 380, especially for those who want CVT.Was the JD in the background part of this same farm or another farm ? If another, will they be featured soon?

excuse me for a moment but because most of the tractors I see from 200 hp upwards have suitcase ballasts rather than having the front lift with the cast iron monobloc ?
The suitcase weights let you add and subtract weight as you needed, depending on the task at hand. The mono block only let you have one weight or you have to have several mono units on hand, depending on what you need.

What is the air cleaner like for these dusty conditions?
I imagine it’s cleaned out each day during morning service.
Dusty and dirty after a good day of tillage work.
I'm surprised manufacturers don't offer tractors in matte, desert sand. Easier to "keep clean." 😅

Extra dry day but not an issue long term.
Why is he going over the field ? Don't see any change in soil texture ???? If farmer has a "no till planter " any planter or a drill, planting would be no problem
The main reason is because I asked the farmer if he could run the 400 so I could film it. The field was already ready to plant. You can see the planting running in the back ground. The farmer was nice to run the 400 for a few passes. I have wanted to feature one here on the channels since they came out, but I’ve only been able to find the rare Black Knight 400 to fill in 2022. I was excited to see a red 400.
They chisel and work the ground rather than no till because this a river bottom. The water compacts the ground over the winter. Working the ground opens up the soil for improved root growth and to warm up the ground quickly for quick growth.
