It's not just a laser etched anchor, it's a whole package. The internal parts have a special phosphate anti corrosion finish as well as the magazines. The trigger is the old style more comfortable one (SRT sucks) and the grip screws are slotted instead of torx or allen. Actually, I remember reading that the *only* reason the p226 lost to the M9 was price. Otherwise they both passed the trials completely (there were 5 or so other pistols tested in the trials that failed).
Then you "read" an urban legend. There was more than one trial and the Beretta won both the USAF test, as well as the final procurement Army trials, leading to it's selection. There have even been follow up Congressional Inquiries, and examinations by the GOA. However, price was certainly a huge factor considering only the Beretta and SACO (Sig) made the cut. That said, this mythology that suggests the Sig left the Beretta in the dust, or that the Army really wanted the Sig over the Beretta is just that, a myth. You can read each test performed and each competitors function in the government and GAO archives (it's all open source information). I'm a bit perplexed how in 2015, when you can access the entire breadth of human knowledge on a cell phone, why we still perpetuate information based on simply what someone said, or what we heard.
jakkd07 Where did I say it was superior in every way? Both were good in the trials and from what I have already read, it came down to the wire and the beretta won for it's total package price (the 226 base pistol was cheaper but cost more as a package with magazines and a cleaning kit added)
You said the "only" reason the Beretta won was b/c of price. You neglect to point out for example that of the two finalist (the Beretta and SACO), and the 7 categories tested, only the Beretta passed all 7 categories, whereas the SACO (Sig) failed one category outright (both in 1981 and again in the final 1984 test). Even with this failure in only 1 of 7 categories it was good enough for an overall pass, but it's worth noting none the less. Saying that the "only" reason Beretta won, is implying that the Sig would have been chosen if not for price.
It failed in adverse dry conditions compared not only to the Beretta but the H&K, the S&W, and the outgoing 1911. In fact, in mud, wet and dry conditions, under "overall" performance, it performed statistically lower than any of the other competitors mentioned, scoring at 89%. Comparatively, the Beretta was 98%. Other various tests were salt water corrosion, service life, firing pin energy, and reliability. -P.28 GAO Report to Chairman, Committee on Government Operations, House of Representatives. June 1986.
I love the E2 grips. The Sig p226 was going to be my first handgun, but had to go with the p220 for the smaller grip. Since the E2 grips came out though, It's gone back to the top of my list of most wanted guns.
Same here. I don't have huge hands and the E2 grips make my P226 much easier to operate. I'm probably going to get an E2 set for my P229 as well if there is such a thing.
Have a the first generation of the 226, first gun I ever owned...accurate and easy to shoot. Great duty weapon but a little to big for concealed carry and very expensive. I still would buy sig, just save up you cant go wrong.
The 226 is my favorite. I have the Mk25. I prefer the old style 2 piece screw in grips better than the new e2 as shown here. It feels good but it forces my hand lower rather than higher, personally. Most people seem to prefer the smaller e2 though. Usually an easy switch if you want to.
I'm a Sig man through and through. There are issues with the design, but it is an awesome pistol. Solid and impeccably manufactured. Mine is an early West German manufactured pistol. I've tried other pistols and just like the 226 better. To me is the "The 9mm" much like the 1911 is "The 45".
Man, fuck Massachusetts. I hate this state. Gonna move out when I get the chance. These fuckers are up to their necks in nanny state legislation and rhetoric. You know your state's gun laws are retarded when not even GLOCK wants to sell in your area.
uilleann86 yeah thats true but it is what it is. 10+1 is not so bad i would rather get the full deal but 10+1 is o.k. especially since mostly i shoot .45ACP but yeah California is where i live and we get the craziest nonsense here as it pertains to guns.
Different guns have different roles. I conceal carry a Glock every day. Either a G43, G26, or G19. They are great guns for EDC in civilian life. I know they will fire anytime I need it, but I wouldn’t trust the polymer frames in a war setting. I would either choose a P226 or 92FS/M9 in a war setting. When I was doing combat patrols in Iraq, I beat the shit out of all three weapons I was issued. I don’t think a Glock’s frame would’ve made it through my whole tour.
@badweetabix - Challenge accepted. My gen 4 G19 has over 100K rounds with zero gun related malfunctions. Only ammo issues like primers not being properly seated, low powder loads, and NO I don't shoot reloads, I shoot all factory ammo and factory ammo is not 100% reliable. Also with our other Glocks... over 55K rounds of 10mm through my gen 4 G40, (I have to put 10mm, people think G40 is S&W) over 50K rounds through my G43, over 60K rounds through my gen 3 G21, over 23K rounds through my brother's 43X, over 31K rounds through his gen 4 G17, over 17K rounds through his gen 4 G19, over 37K rounds though my brother in law's 20 year old police gen 3 G32. All our Glocks seem to working fine with zero gun related malfunctions. Nothing against the P226, I have a 1989 West German made 226 9mm and it's one of my precious treasures. I would never ever trade my P226 for any Sig out today, especially the garbage striker Sigs coming out of New Hampshire. Let me know when your Sig P226 hits 100K rounds with no issues.
Just filled out 4473 this morning on one. Got a chance to rent at the range after buying. One of the few pistols that I can absolutely say that I don't regret purchasing. Trigger will take a little getting used to (Glock shooter). But my grouping was about as good as I have done with custom 1911 9mms. I am impressed.
My P-229 has a short reset trigger (much shorter than the one Sooth00 is showing on the P-226) and a very crisp single action release. Love it. I do not however care for the grip. At some point I'll replace it....but it's holding up very well and is quite serviceable.
Sootch, awesome videos! I've been watching them for the past few years but I don't think I've let you know how much I appreciate your work. I really enjoy watching your stuff, keep it up!
Before buying my first handgun I spent a whole day at the range trying every major handgun from Glock to Smith and Wesson to H & K to Springfield to Beretta but the one thar kept calling me was the P226. To this day it is my favorite handgun.
I carry a P229 9MM E2 with the trijicon night sights that are BRIGHT. Sig's slogan is 'To hell and back reliability.' I have NEVER had a failure with mine and yes, I shoot and practice with it quite a bit. Funny, with the 'big G'.... I see a gen this that and third and recalls and ammo sensitivity and more recalls....and lots and lots of excuses. Sig makes it right. Sig makes it work and I sure as hell would not trust my life or my loved ones lives to a manufacturer that takes 'generations' to get it right. Thanks for another awesome review Sootch00. Good stuff.
I just took my buddy out to buy his first gun a few days ago, he picked up and fondled at least 15 different handguns (all fullsizes) and he narrowed it down to a Beretta 92X and the Sig P226 Elite, and after a bit of deliberation he decided on the Sig. I recommended the 92X over the Sig (for the low bore axis and steel frame) but he liked the ergonomics of the P226 controls more which is understandable, everyone has different hands, but at least we can rest easy knowing he chose a time and battle tested weapon. I didn't know much about the P226 before now, all I have from Sig is a P365X which is a whole different ball game than the P226. But it seems like he made a good choice from what I've seen here on YT and read on forums, I'm kind of looking forward to getting my hands on it when I take my buddy to the range after his waiting period is over. I'm also looking forward to gutting it and seeing if I can tighten up the trigger a bit, I think the hammer hooks could do with a small shave judging by the amount of trigger creep (I'm a gunsmith), like Michelangelo said, inside every shit trigger is a work of art waiting to be carved out lol.
I agree. Mine will outlive me. It will find its new home in the hands of my sons, grandsons, and following generations to come. It shall serve its purpose.
Great review of my favorite handgun. I purchased my W. German made 226 as a present to myself for my 40th birthday. Put over 5,000 rounds through it in the first 4 months without a single malfunction. 10 yrs ago I bought a G lock 27 and a few weeks ago I purchased a used Gen 3 G lock 17 to go with my Kel-Tech Sub 2000 carbine. Haven't shot it yet but I'm sure I'll like it. But the SIG is definitely built better with its full length guide rails, braided recoil spring and even the magazines have braided coil springs! Trigger pull in D/A mode is high at 12.12 pounds but that drops to 4.4 pounds in S/A mode. My SIG P226 is the LAST possession I will willingly part with.
I love my Sig Sauer P226 Scorpion Elite 9mm with its SRT trigger and Siglite Night Sights. I guess the beavertail is pretty nice, too. The grips are the sweet G10 grips. The FDE type color is awesome.
This is my favorite weapon, in fact I was shooting it this afternoon! I have the two tone with hogue rubber grips and sig light night sights in 9mm. I have been considering putting the short reset trigger in it.
Great camera work, high quality close up view of the Sig was perfect. Went through all the baseline features of the gun including trigger details - awesome.
Got this pistol tonight! Made out like a bandit from store that I got it from. Got a light for the rail; a laser which is built into the light; and a holster. I also got an additional 15 round magazine. I wanted to wait for Christmas, but I had to pull the trigger on this deal. Too good to pass up. My 226 will be added to my Sig 40 S&W. Great video! Ed Note: Since writing the above comment, I have taken my Sig P229 in 9mm out to the farm. This pistol is the most accurate handgun that I own; and I have a few. My Colts and Kimbers are well built, but not on the same level as a Sig. The Sig is truly well worth every penny!

The Sig Sauer P226 is based on the SIG P220 in 9x19 Luger calibre which was developed for the Swiss Armed Forces (where it was introduced with the P75 designation) by SIG in Neuhausen, Switzerland and was manufactured by J. P. Sauer & Sohn in Eckernförde, Germany. The SIG Sauer P220 in .45 ACP calibre kept the designation P220.
Thanks Sootch, could you pls do a side by side review with the CZ 75BD. I know you also like the CZ line and it would make for an interesting comparison. I really like the CZ system and price but i live in NH and would like to buy "locally". One of the major drawback of the Sig is the high bore access compared to the CZ. Given the little recoil of the 9mm, this is not a major concern but i have tendency to adopt the better design...Thanks.
I just shot for my first time today and this was the 3rd gun I tried and I absolutely loved it! This is a great video, I'll be saving up for this bad boy for sure!
Honestly this is solid handgun (obviously with military contract) but its outdated considering other lighter higher capacity options. This is what they call a safe gun meaning it sits in the safe while you run n gun other newer options out there. Grand Power has some really nice options coming out this summer, Archon and several others. Thanks for sharing.
Sootch00 is definitely superior. The kind of guy you'd like to drink a beer and eat a steak with while discussing Sigs. With Nutn, I fear we wouldn't be allowed to speak.
In the gun community there are "Sig people" and there are "Glock people". My primary CCW is a Glock 30sf.. I freakin love Glock! But honestly, when I throw a pistol in the range bag, 8 out of 10 times I grab my Sig 226 TacOps with SRT and 4-20 round mags of 9 MikeMike!! And BTDubs.. You can practically see those SigLight night sights from 50 yards during the DAY! I've been waiting on the Sootch review of this tool for a long time and, as always, Outstanding job brother!! Now.. a moment of silent prayer for all the non-free states.
I've dreamed of owning two pistols for a long, long time. The first is the glock 19 and the second is the sig p226. I'll be getting a glock 19 gen4 in two weeks and hopefully get the sig as an Xmas gift to myself in 2015. Edit: Won some money on a scratch ticket and bought the glock 19 last friday. LOOOVE this pistol so far. Now it's time to start saving for the Sig
If you are buying a used P226, there is a batch you have to be careful about, where Sig changed the rail system to try and keep it lubed better. The rail on the frame that the slide rides in will split and break off. I forget which serial numbers they are between, but Sig won't help you anymore because the guns are "too old". Just something you want to look into if you are buying a used P226.
xGUDDAx great guns i agree. i have the big brother. the P220R and it's the same eats any ammo and does the trick with supreme accuracy.. really nice gun's Sig's are so well made for Combat and for any type of shooting. it's no wonder they have such a fine reputation and no wonder that they cost so much. you get what you pay for..
Just got my first handgun from my father. He passed down his first on duty pistol he eventually bought from the department. .40 s&W I absolutely love it and will be enjoying this gun from here on out. Good review by the way ***** gave me a little more insight about the gun!
The SIG 226 is my Cadillac of handguns, it's my duty sidearm when I work armed security . Here in Arizona you can get them for around $600 with a armed guard card due to law enforcement discount .
They didn’t “switch”. They added it to their approved list as the MK27. They can still carry the P226 MK25 if they want. The 19 is just another weapon they may choose depending on their personal preference.
You can find the Sig Sauer P226 MK25 Navy for under $800 if you watch out for online sales. Oh and it comes with night sights and three 15-round magazines.
I've been looking for this gun and can't find it. I carry a Stoeger cougar 8000 which i,m finding is a bit too heavy. How lite is the p226?, all reviews says it's pretty accurate, it's a good lookin piece.
@@charlesblackman1236 It's been a long time since I owned this gun. It was very accurate as I recall. A great looking handgun! I now own a P229 E2 in .40 caliber. Sig's are on the heavy side compared to Glock 22 in .40 caliber.
@@fjones1914 : I've never really considered any Sig's until I just start noticing the reviews and now I'm looking at the 239. I want something a little smaller and lighter. These are some sexy pistols. If only I could find the Zenith girsan MC14 380 automatic, Bersa Ultra compact Pro 9m my collection would be complete.
Im so late...just now brave enuff to consider firearms for personal & home security. I saw this one recently, and wanted to learn more. Thank you for this video.
Of course I think he means as long as there is not another behind it. But still decock in case your thumb rode the slide release on an empty chamber. He misspoke obviously.
Great video Sootch, Love my P226, German made 2011 model with triple serial numbers, rail, and night sights. Super accurate and flawless reliability. Just ordered a short reset trigger kit for it, I can't wait to shoot it with the upgrade.
Never used SIG's pistols, but trained with an SEAL back when I was signed up. He swore by it. I'm also unfamiliar with their variants like the 229 etc. But, I gotta say... Looks solid. I'd pick the M&P over this simply because of the way my hand rides and the ergonomics, but this looks damn reliable.
The SiG P226 is a great gun, my Dad was SWCC in the navy in the mid 90s and this was the pistol that he used. He still chooses this pistol today for his concealed carry piece.
Quick addition regarding mag capacity. The M11 A1 version of the sig P228, through some form of sorcery, has the same capacity as the P226 (15+1), but is similar in size to the glock 19.
...AHHH, kinda "PARA-MILITARY"....COPS are Sworn to their State, and Community, and wiil get CHARGED with DERALICTION OF DUTY if they don't, or won't perform their duties!!! (RETIRED U.S. ARMY INFANTRY SERGEANT 5:21 /MEDICALLY RETIRED POLICE OFFICER)
The best way to get into a P226 is to buy the .22lr 226. It's about $400 and it has the EXACT SAME FRAME as the centerfire 226. You can then buy the centerfire X-Change kit in 9mm (or .40 or .357 sig) for about $350. For those of you doing the math, that's a 9mm P226 for $750 PLUS the .22 conversion for FREE. The toughest part is finding a 9mm X-change kit in stock right now. I waited nearly a year for mine.
Currently carry an E26R-9-TACOPS. Better grips and extended mag well. SRT on it is crisp and about 2 pounds. Sig night sights are very good on this firearm. TACOPS comes with 4 made in the USA 20 round magazines. Pricey but worth the expense in my opinion.
Try looking into the Sig .357 cal and the 9 mm cal available barrels for the 226, they are interchangeable IF you have the .40 cal framed 226 to begin with. That way you have the pleasure of interchanging calibers as you wish with the same pistol. Again, you must have the .40 cal 226 to be able to interchange all three. You will really appreciate and like the TacOps P226 even more as I do mine.
I used the P226 in a foreign police corp during years. I never killed anybody, but always was able to shoot accurate exactly where I wanted and it never let me alone in critical situations. Great piece of gear. I owe this gun my life.

The 226 & 870 are a Home Defense Dream Combo, and a nightmare for perpetrators. Great review on the legendary 226 🤘🏼
Why is it better for home defense than a Glock or a Beretta or something? They all do pretty much the same thing it seems to me.

Saying that the "only" reason Beretta won, is implying that the Sig would have been chosen if not for price.
jakkd07 Which category did it fail in?
I've got a SIG P226 and P210 at home (Switzerland)
Ill trade you my left kidney for the 210
And I'll trade you my right kidney for the P226.
Yeah but do you have ammo and can you shoot it without asking the king for permission lol.
Not up for trading mine is Sig P229 in 40 again no trades
Zachary B Way yes and yes. Why the hell wouldn‘t we be able to?
I'm a Sig man through and through. There are issues with the design, but it is an awesome pistol. Solid and impeccably manufactured. Mine is an early West German manufactured pistol. I've tried other pistols and just like the 226 better. To me is the "The 9mm" much like the 1911 is "The 45".
Love my P226 so much I bought another one!

"10 rounds in non-free States." lol
I liked that as well.
Man, fuck Massachusetts. I hate this state. Gonna move out when I get the chance. These fuckers are up to their necks in nanny state legislation and rhetoric. You know your state's gun laws are retarded when not even GLOCK wants to sell in your area.
Also 10 rounds in non-free countries.
uilleann86 yeah thats true but it is what it is. 10+1 is not so bad i would rather get the full deal but 10+1 is o.k. especially since mostly i shoot .45ACP but yeah California is where i live and we get the craziest nonsense here as it pertains to guns.
Nodrog666 yeah thats bad. lol
Just bought mine today... for a first time gun owner, I truly love the 226
Cop in Ireland was ghosted with his own this week.

You name it.
I own a West Germany made Sig P226 and it is still my go to gun after 25 years with ZERO malfunction. I challenge any Glock fanboys to beat that.
Like every gun, they all have their advantages. Glocks are intuitive, and simplistic, and obviously reliable.
I don’t think a Glock’s frame would’ve made it through my whole tour.
badweetabix you cant do that to glock sig boy its hammer fired not striker fired
Also with our other Glocks...
over 55K rounds of 10mm through my gen 4 G40, (I have to put 10mm, people think G40 is S&W)
over 50K rounds through my G43,
over 60K rounds through my gen 3 G21,
over 23K rounds through my brother's 43X,
over 31K rounds through his gen 4 G17,
over 17K rounds through his gen 4 G19,
over 37K rounds though my brother in law's 20 year old police gen 3 G32.
I’ll take your P226 all day if I can open carry... but concealed, I’m happy with my G26.
I might still go Sig soon tho... the P365 is my next purchase
The p229 is used as a PRIMARY HANDGUN for the Secret Service and the US Air Marshals! SIG is the best.
Abhishek Singh my 1st choice was the Sig M11A1 However went with P229 in 40 very pleased
Very clear and informative video. I've gotten interested in this firearm after shooting one and loving it way more than my S&W 40.
Great review. You just made me even more proud of owning this beauty.
I've got the P226 Enhanced Elite. A slightly different grip that fits my hand better and a tuned trigger setup. Suweet!
Me too with the SRT, short reset trigger. Love the "ELITE". I have loved all of my Sig's. I Do Not Like the E2 grip!
My P-229 has a short reset trigger (much shorter than the one Sooth00 is showing on the P-226) and a very crisp single action release. Love it. I do not however care for the grip. At some point I'll replace it....but it's holding up very well and is quite serviceable.
RK Harm I also have an early Sig 239 9mm, DA/SA. It is smooth and slick from a lot of shooting. Night sights are DEAD, 18 years old.
That's the way to do it
I appreciate that not only do you do a great review, but also you add the bloopers at the end. Thanks.
A little bit of grease on the barrel instead of oil prevents wear much better.
JayzBeerz Keeping that in mind, thanks for the tip brother!
I have the Sig Legion P226, just purchased, and am dialing it in. I have been using CZ 75 and HK P30 & VP9
The 226 is amongst the finest made.Sig Produced the mod 210 Which at one time was the most accurate Pistol in the world..
Good stuff.
I bought my 86' west Germany 226 in 2011 for $360. 2019. $1500-2500
It's my forever gun. Never leaving her.
Great review Sootch! I love my 226 TacOps. Ive had it for 2 years now and not a single malfunction or problem with it. Plus it shoots fantastic!
Soooo what about the GUN, it is a gun review not a video review? Hahahahaja
@@rustylee9630 you are be wun uh dem cleever fellers
the best thing about the sig is the trigger, it's like butter, like something that guides you to shoot, very cool
Absolutely, it's almost as great as my 1911 triggers.
Good quality review Sootch, top notch thank you. Now I just have to sell my car to get a Sig...
I like how he shows his bloopers

Have a P226 SAO Elite on the way! Hell yeah!
Sig and Beretta well made and reliable! Just bought the 226 :)
I don't care how man subs nutnfancy has you are 10 times better then him. Id watch one of your videos over his any day.
I freaking hate Nutn. So annoying and he just rambles on and on so he can jerk off to the sound of his own voice.
Sootch00 is definitely superior. The kind of guy you'd like to drink a beer and eat a steak with while discussing Sigs. With Nutn, I fear we wouldn't be allowed to speak.
A valid concern!
Now.. a moment of silent prayer for all the non-free states.
best 9 ever. d/a single. the best combo.
I have the Chinese HP77B which is the copy of sig
Fair and honest review in my opinion. Agree with your statement "pick on up and you will understand". Good job again with the review.
Texas Rangers standard issue right here. That should be reason enough to get one.
Texas Rangers carry mostly 1911s. I know two. One personally and the other was a professor for one of my criminal justice classes.
Steers and Queers.
I have an Original P228 made in West Germany and its hardly been fired when I got it. Works perfectly and I love it.
Outstanding weapons system!!!
I shot my friends 226 for 10 rounds back in February and I still can’t get it out of my head. Waiting patiently for my new one to arrive.
Have you ever reviewed a gun you didn't like?
"Check out this hi-point. It shoots GREAT!"
That guns a real beaut. Shame the closest I'll probably get is my air-soft version. Good ol' UK eh?
I've dreamed of owning two pistols for a long, long time. The first is the glock 19 and the second is the sig p226. I'll be getting a glock 19 gen4 in two weeks and hopefully get the sig as an Xmas gift to myself in 2015.
Edit: Won some money on a scratch ticket and bought the glock 19 last friday. LOOOVE this pistol so far.
Now it's time to start saving for the Sig
Nice!
Both those guns are on my wish list as well.
Have em both. Much love except the grip on the 19. My fingers don't quite ride the way I'd like.
😂😂 thabk gof for them scratchers
Like saving up for a Honda and a Corvette.
Gahh, can't wait! I pick mine up tomorrow! :D
Commiefornia makes us wait 10 damn days....
10 days?! Damn haha, how much did you get it for by the way
Matthew Garcia I ended up getting it for just about $900 with fees and everything included.
+Christian Espinoza not bad bro, hope you enjoy ;)
Matthew Garcia Ooooo my dude, I am enjoying it. I love it
+Christian Espinoza sick! I wanted it as my first pistol but it was too expensive for me, so I went with the glock 43 haha
Sootch has to have one of the best shooting faces ive seen, doesnt flinch a muscle
so smooth
Best pistol I have ever owned. Over 5000 round and never once a problem. My sig p226 eats any ammo
xGUDDAx great guns i agree. i have the big brother. the P220R and it's the same eats any ammo and does the trick with supreme accuracy.. really nice gun's Sig's are so well made for Combat and for any type of shooting. it's no wonder they have such a fine reputation and no wonder that they cost so much. you get what you pay for..
Bryan Calhoun I feel like price isn't an option when I'm betting my life on it.
xGUDDAx Dummy rds don't count
Im a Brit.
I bought a P226 in .357sig back when I lived in AZ.
When I moved back to the UK. I sold it to my buddy who still owns it today.
“How sweet it is” 🤣
Great pistols. My uncle was part of the armed forces over in the UK and he loved his Sig P226 after they upgraded to that from the Hi Power.
Excellent review, I like your efficient review style.
Just got my first handgun from my father. He passed down his first on duty pistol he eventually bought from the department. .40 s&W I absolutely love it and will be enjoying this gun from here on out. Good review by the way ***** gave me a little more insight about the gun!
Sig Sauer P226 I love that 😍🔥🔥🔥🔥
Excellent review...thanks Sootch !
It's very good pistol and accurate and I'have only one
The SIG 226 is my Cadillac of handguns, it's my duty sidearm when I work armed security . Here in Arizona you can get them for around $600 with a armed guard card due to law enforcement discount .
Is it true the SEALS are switching to the Glock 19?
Yes
They already did
They didn’t “switch”.
I bought one of these back in 1995.
I wish I still had it.
Always enjoy your prepper and firearms reviews, Sootch!
I'll be picking up my Sig Sauer P226 in 10 days. I chose the 40S&W version.
BloodySawBlade Lovely choice, do you still enjoy it?
Im so late...just now brave enuff to consider firearms for personal & home security. I saw this one recently, and wanted to learn more. Thank you for this video.
lol shooting the hostage at 6:25
lol...
Damn 10 years later and still $1000+
"To make this gun safe fire the round." Hmmmm...
I love this gun but Bretta beat them out for the military and they’re like $500 cheaper. I’m sticking with the FS 92
Great review as always. You and Hickok are the best. Thanks.
It may be adopted by Border Patrol, but since when has Border Patrol actually *done* anything in the last few years?
Never used SIG's pistols, but trained with an SEAL back when I was signed up. He swore by it. I'm also unfamiliar with their variants like the 229 etc. But, I gotta say... Looks solid. I'd pick the M&P over this simply because of the way my hand rides and the ergonomics, but this looks damn reliable.
The SiG P226 is a great gun, my Dad was SWCC in the navy in the mid 90s and this was the pistol that he used. He still chooses this pistol today for his concealed carry piece.
Fire a around as A Safety!!,? Oh I Like that..😁🤣
Quick addition regarding mag capacity. The M11 A1 version of the sig P228, through some form of sorcery, has the same capacity as the P226 (15+1), but is similar in size to the glock 19.
Law enforcement are civilians
...AHHH, kinda "PARA-MILITARY"....COPS are Sworn to their State, and Community, and wiil get CHARGED with DERALICTION OF DUTY if they don't, or won't perform their duties!!!
Oh yeah, and the X-change kit comes with the night sights standard.
Or buy a used one. I bought my 229 .40 used in good condition for $525 at a gun show.

Please take a look at this =)> Harry Reid VS The Militia, Funny
I really hate this new UA-cam comment interface for the android. it is so stupid.
Not at all, but you are hot!
That must be a nice camera, it picked up that tiny bit of spittle at 3:20, flying toward the ejection port.
