There is a DBoys version with real wood though.

I still have a Dboys Kar98 shell ejecting rifle. Beautiful piece, one of my favorite guns. Sadly, I've been running out of ammo quite easily and I need a new bolt for it. I'm so glad Double Bells made this!

Hi, again and also again thanks for the video! The clip looks just like the real steel one! Amazing! I am portuguese, and this country bought some 98Kar models from Mauser. Our National Republican Guardian still uses this on parades, and all our armed forces used this through out the XXth Century in our ex colonial war. Even vs AK-47s from China and U.S.S.R.s rifles. So, I've seen quite some of them and both these models are faithfull copies from the real thing. This video was a pleasure to watch!

Informative as always mate. What's it like skirmishing wise? Tempted to go for the non shell ejecting version and have a play on the field
Always go for the non shell ejecting version if you want to use it for gameplay/skirmishes. Shell ejecting airsoft guns serve purely for, I believe, reenacting, props and replica purposes, and would never recommend them for anything other than for that

Just got this gun myself about a week or so ago. I personally love it, though it’ll never be used for actual gameplay. Nice little piece to show off, and keep as a wallhanger.

Is the bolt smooth or sticky and hard to move?
klixic i have it , its easy to pull back but there is a bit of tension pushing it forward but if you put a good amount of force into it , it shouldnt be a problem

DEAN WATERS Currently just using a Combat Machine Red And CZ75 SP-01, though this for field play. But I’ve always loved the WWII era weapons and I wasn’t in a position to order a D-Boys Kar98K before but now that it’s out again I’ll gladly be saving some money to grab one !
This might be the best Kar98k airsoft rifle out there right now. Shell Ejecting, real wood, metal internals, great accuracy, ALL OF THAT FOR $189.99?! That right there is a fucking STEAL. 10/10 Would recommend

@@user-qw4vn7jp2m you know I'm not sure, but it is metal as mentioned in the video. Also the sniper supports 2 different bolts. A spring one and a gas one. So if you were to get the spring model and then get the gas bolt down the line, then it's an easy swap in

@@user-qw4vn7jp2m pot metal from a backyard furnace. I have maybe had 100 shots through it, and another about 500 cycles of the bolt. After that, the screw of the black metal part that cams in the actual bolt body broke the bolt body in the thinnest spot and now I have a non functioning, broken 300 dollar rifle. Yes, I ordered it from a dealer that overprices it, but it's still a shame that it breaks for that kind of money.
A basic surplus original Pre-War Mauser K98K can be had for around $600/(€533.53/£455.25). A Yugoslav M48 for $250(€222.30/£189.69). 8x57mm spam cans(1,000 rounds) for $280(€248.98/£212.50) each - that breaks down to ¢28(25 Euro Cent/21 Pence) a Cartridge. Plus, a 10 pack of Stripper Clips(i.e. 50 held cartridges) is only around $10.50(€9.34/£7.97). If anyone 18+ in the US is wondering. Blanks are around ¢38 Per Cartridge - if one wants to do WWII Reenactments and, even cheaper if reloading your own Blanks from used spam can Brass.
8x57mm is more than enough for North American Game in general. I have taken White Tails, Black Tails, Feral Hogs, Russian Boar, Black Bears, Buffalo, Caribou, Elk, Moose, Mountain Goats, Wolves, Coyotes, Bobcats, Alligators and, Texan Javelina hunting with my 1941 Gestapo-issued K98K and hunting-specific ammunition.
A month after purchasing the plastic one for exact price...

Just bought this and can confirm that the stripper clip is indeed fiddly when it comes to feeding all 5 quickly. Sometimes you're better off just hand bombing one at a time until you're wellllll versed in loading with the clip

Sometimes, some important things, are stopped. Many Taiwanese or Hong Kong companies prefer the idea of quick cash, we hope airsoft products will have the thinking of VW or Toyota, where good products goes so shall be a good supply chain. In airsoft, It is not like a big market will naturally generate a good supply chain, rather a good supply chain makes a small market big.

The rifle also comes with a sling which is on 22 bucks more.
Bit late but you can get a great quality repo sling for K98s elsewhere that arent made with elcheapo leather.
Oh man I have to get this. I have been looking at every airsoft shop that I know, wish it was gas but spring is not to bad right. But now should I immediately place a order with extra shells or wait... I did have a plan to get the new Thompson gbb from evike but oh man Thompson gbb or K98k shells ejecting I can only get one at the moment

Fun fact: You can retrofit a real mauser trench magazine in this to boost the capacity to 23 rounds, 25 puts too much strain on the magazin spring.
I really wish someone would make an Enfield MK III SMLE. Someone makes a MK IV but the MK III is the most iconic. Problem with the shell ejecting is the shells fly all over the place and you have to pick them up. A novelty at first but can imagine it can get a bit tedious. The other thing is I wonder how well the ejecting mechanism wears if you pull it hard.

Idk if the replica does this but on the firearm you can load the rounds with the stripper clip and then "kick" the stripper clip out if the rifle by just pushing the bolt forward
Man I'd love to take a rifle like this for casual skirmish.
But the problem is keeping hold of the shells after they eject. Can be easily lost in an airsoft game.

When I saw the price for the real wood one in the link I got excited as hell, but the import costs for this thing in Holland are insane.. together with the high shipping cost (which doesn't even have tracking..) it brings the price right up to like 450/500 euros.

hell its very historically correct on accuracy all world war two battle rifles on all sides shoot 2 to 6 inch groups at 100 yards depends on three things how much life is left in the barrel the ammo you shoot an how well of a shot you are
this is a WWII mid war kar98k. fun fact: early war and rifles before the war had range markings even under the sight. (idk why that feels useless but ok)

D Boys and Double Bell are actually the same company.
Why I keep coming back to this channel is he shows the things that collectors want like the Solo pistol or other Star Wars stuff and things like this that will be played with in the garden or park a few times and then put in a corner or on rack and only touched again when you get a sling or stripper clip bandolier.

This is the reason that I want airsoft guns.
If the airsoft branded Stripper clip is frustrating, get a real steel one. Its thicker and less fiddly, and the shells should be the same size and dimensions of the real 7.92 round

Tbh bro, the springer is better than the gas in my opinion, pros: better fps, no pay for gas, better accuracy, can be more rough with the gun, spring can be modified. Cons: there is a little bit of tension with the springer, maybe can be a little tougher to pull back to bolt hard, can maybe require more maintenance in the near future
I want to go for a double bell kar98k, but honestly I was having my eyes on the matrix kar98k. Even tho it’s not shell ejecting. It’s more tactical. But for the true fun of it, go for the shell ejecting double bell kar98k, the real wood is nice and the double bell just works better

Sorry this is late, I just have one question: Would it be accurate enough to use inside about 50 feet away from a target with a scope? Really all I'm asking is, could I use this inside and shoot targets without hitting my walls? (I'd be using a scope. Don't know if that helps)

you mean the FPS? i think so, i manage to remove the spring in the bolt. but it seems to be longer than the dbell VSR10 spring. i read some people actually find it difficult to cock this kar98 so they cut the spring themselves to make it easier to push

i have a question so i bought one of the double bell shell ejecting kar 98s and i noticed in your video you have the bbs shoved way down the bullet so with mine if i do that it wont fire and im starting to wonder if there is something wrong with my gun
Mine broke within a month. The trigger basically destroyed itself, and the bolt snapped in two.

The non real wood one is 130 seems actually a fordable but there’s a other one the Snow Wolf Kar98K (SW-022) for 100 but there’s no round ejection feature :(
i have an authentic bayonet for this rifle and to my surprise you can mount it on the replica with no problems
