I think the reason why the wood has formed such gaps is because wood can shrink and swell when it dries. i'm a carpenter by trade and that looks to me like a simple mistake that has not yet been seen in the production. if the wood is not dried properly, it will contract later. for example: during the shipping. by the way, very cool and interesting videos. thumbs up

They don't shrink much at all length wise I might add, wood mainly shrinks from its side like a squeezed sponge this one was likely the manufacturer error and not the timber at play but I'm glad someone brought it up as a possibility
Dude, you should be able to see a 1/16th like me then, that was 3/16 and yes wood does drink that's why fully cured lumber and hard wood is used for furniture and not cheap spruce.

I was told by swit airsoft this has a bad wood finish and is riddled with problems...the bell gas version is better
Try imagining having to pick up all the shells after a day on a outdoor field
that's why there's a version with no shell ejecting but instead a clip under it

Luckily, I'm in Queensland Australia, which means I'm allowed to own Gel Blasters, which I use for preemptive sniping missions against hostile empty beer cans attempting to take over the Free World.

Looks amazing!! Unfortunately, I’m guessing this reproduction K98 costs as much or more than an original K98. I say unfortunately because I know there are many countries that won’t allow you to own one or its extremely difficult with red tape. It makes me EXTREMELY thankful that I’m able to own an original K98 and G43 rifle where I live.

A lot of real Kar98k rifles have that misalignment around the barrel band. It's pretty common.

Could you review the gbb m4 from JG I saw the price and was a bit surprised that it's around the same price as an AEG
Don't go that way, the mag is a PITA to maintain and it always leaks like a SOAB (I own 4 GBB pistols and I also regularly take my units to my local gunsmith every 5-6 months for check ups). At least buy a WE to avoid the headaches that come with the JG GBBR.
Also the body is plastic and it looks like it's painted and it easily chips and flakes fall off everytime I use it

Nikita Khrushchev I’ve owned 9 gbbrs and pistols by WE and the only time they’ve ever leaked is when I’ve bought the mags second hand and the o rings have dried up. Even then just putting some silicone oil on them sorted the problem.
I had the co2 version of this rifle and it was the same thing, arrived with flaws that were clearly from the factory. The disassembly ring was crooked in the stock of the gun, and the upper handguard was so loose, it would fall off by itself until I put some tape under the springs. That and the mags breaking almost instantly made me sell the thing super quickly. The only G&G product I've ever bought, definitely not impressed considering the price tag
since the K98 is a cock on open design you don't need to hold the trigger all the way though while putting the bold back in, just for the final down stroke to lock the lugs in the receiver and drop the firing pin at the back

Interesting.....first there was D-Boy Kar98k shell ejecting and then there’s Double Bell Kar98k shell ejecting and now there’s G&G
Fun fact:D-Boy Kar98k and Double Bell Kar98k has the same bullet casings which is silver but not brass like other shell ejecting mechanisms airsoft guns.
I got a real numbers matching kar98 from my best freind the other day. Pretty stoked to have it and such a fun gun to shoot
Of course, being picky, you shouldn't be able to close the bolt after extracting the last cartridge, on the original the bolt would catch the rear of the cartridge follower to inform the shooter he/she had used their last round.
The warning label simply shows the product name, bb size, how hot the gun is(1-3 joules) and the recommended age.

This may seem silly, but I think putting some gun oil in the stripper clips before use may help, I know you will probably only use the clips for reviews but it will make it easier

My k98 is a somewhat cheap $100 rifle that I put a original k98 stock and sling. And yes they are German marked

Diana make a 12ftlb pellet fiering k98 that uses the diana 460magnum underlever action im probly gettin one its my favorite rifle the actions still used in a lot of modern firearms and seeing as its nearly a 100 year old design it says it all perfection in carnate ive had the pleasure of using a real one at my old gun club and it was a tack driver 1inch groups on open sights at 200meters with ease
