- In this video I take a look at an classic airsoft rifle - the Double Bell (DBoys) Mauser Kar98K. This is an authentic and realistic WW2 replica - featuring full metal/wood construction and of course, bolt action shell ejection!

When you play airsoft at 5 and invade Poland at 6
There’s now 3d printing files for the shells and stripper clips available for free, all you’d have to buy is 6mm o rings. A 500 pack is $5 USD so pretty cheap. There are also shell catchers you can buy or 3d print that are specifically made for these, so they are now more of an option for skirmishing, but I’d still rather use an aeg or gbbr for competitiveness
In my experience the printed shells dont hold up, their rims end up breaking and they get jammed in the chamber.

@@Jack_2004 Ive had it since september last year and it's AWESOME! I mean the gun looks and feels amazing. accuarcy i dont really know about yet as i havent had the chance to test it fully. But for the price its so worth it. Amazing piece. One important thing though. DONT BUY THE STRIPPER CLIPS! They are super bad and rarely work. They wont even feed the bullets correctly as it slides down into the magazine. My tip: If you can get your hands on some swedish mauser stripper clips. They are larger than the slot in the rifle. Then carefully file the holw until the clip sits in the slot nicely. Then you can use the clips just like the real thing! ITS AWESOME! Get it!
Edit watched the video and it seems like his clip fit like it should. Well mine wasnt that way. Maybe theyre a bit different.

I have noticed that on all videos of this Double Bell and also the G&G model, stripping off a new round when closing the bolt makes a loud "ZZZIP" noise. This happens on all rounds except the last one. Do you know what might be causing this, or how to remedy it?
The sound of the shells scraping over each other when they are loaded in place.
@@Rohiirim That would explain why it doesn't happen on the last shell, yes. Do you think there's a way to remedy it? Real cartridges don't make that noise.
It's the finishing of the metal, I think ist aluminium cnc made. So it has little edges all over the lenght. Not visible with your eye. But scratch it with your finger nail and you'll feel it
@@Rohiirim ah, that would makes sense, yes. Also a shame, because that's not easy to get rid of, I think xD . I'm guessing they don't do drawn rather than milled rounds?
U can try and polish them smooth af, or just use them a lot 😉
A quick thing about the shipping, it does come in foam and stuff but different suppliers will take it out of the box an some remove it. The way you know this is because this man's supplier has fixed the bolt in place. In most reviews it comes un attatched
If he didn't leave it in, as he told a silicone can bursted in the box so he might have put it in after cleaning 😅
the hole in the stock is there for the reason that you need to push the firing pin against a spring, you can put the firing pin in the hole and push it, and not to risk damaging it.

Does it perform well in game? Is there any performance difference between wood and plastic wood?
A little stripper tip, lift up the front of the last round (the closest to your hand) with your index finger, and push down with your thumb. This way you negate the tention from pushing down on rounds that are not a compleat cylinder. 😊
This will be a nice piece to my WW1 collection :). Although i know that this is a WW2 model and we will likely never get to buy airsoft Gewehr 98 it still looks close enough :D

Airsoft scopes are produced by either G&G or Tanaka, Both are probably more expensive than the gun itself...
