I love how Nick turns everything into a very good question for Yvan to answer and cover a lot of topics and how Yvan knows SO much. I can hear you guys talk about detailing literally for hours 😅
Thank you.
Nick has those broadcaster interview skills
Thank you.
@@diydetailofficialThank you.
That magic tip about towel drying first , then use a blower is golden. Just about everyone does the opposite. 🇨🇦👍👍
Thank you.
Watched the whole live here in the UK, i just got my boss to get some of your products as I am a detailer in a dealership ,rinseless, decon towel and gold standard polish and pads which makes my life so much easier, thanks for the great products guys
Awesome thank you!
I love the livestreams because it answers all the questions I have or may have, plus I get to watch Yvan work and I learn something new every time I watch. Thanks for all you guys do.
Glad you like them!
I watched to the end. I've spent around a grand on your products the last 2 months. Got my DA and waiting on the rotary(backordered). Really enjoy the products and the videos on how to use them. I rewatch them all the time for refreshers. Thank you very much I truly appreciate it!
Awesome! Thank you!
I'd like to see you guys make a video restoring headlights.
Stay tuned
Me too
Yvan you told me in the face book group that when it comes to getting customers, seo rules the roost. You were spot on! I focused on optimizing my website and Google business and I’ve been getting a couple phone calls everyday which is huge for me being a new business! Thank you!
Thank you.
Enjoyed the video! Very helpful to observe Yvan's techniques when polishing and using DIY products. Thanks Nick for q and a.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great Show - Learned a lot to apply in my detailing efforts.
Glad it was helpful!
Always a huge amount of information! Thanks for taking time for doing this! I watched the whole thing!
Thank you for taking the time to watch this
It’s really great to see the process from end-to-end. And even better with a Q&A! Really love your products and material. Thank you!
Thanks so much!
Thank you for the great advices🍀🍀
Thank you.
Thanks for the Info. New to do it myself. And as you said.....having Fun doing my two cars. 👍👍
Excellent
Looking forward to C6! Great Video guys. Learn something new every time I watch you guys. Collecting and using the full DIY line, (which looks great in my garage BTW), and loving it.
Awesome! Thank you!
Excellent video guys, I watched the whole video and really enjoyed it 👍😁
Glad you enjoyed it
I actually have a McCullogh steamer. Got it for household stuff but in fairness to it, it does in fact do whatever I need with respect to car detailing. I don’t use it very much but when needed it gets the job done.
Excellent
Yes you should do more of these. I look forward to the cart video.
Thank you.
That moldy pizza analogy was hilarious! 😆
Thank you.
Thanks guys great video wish I could catch it live.
Next time!
These videos are very informative, thanks for doing these! Will you gentlemen be crossing over to some educational videos on boat detailing in the future? Both for diy detail products and C6. Thank you
We very well might, thank you!
As I was detailing a neighbors Lexus today, I discovered something awesome about Ceramic Gloss. After a good bubble bath and decontamination, I used it as a drying aid, but wait, there’s more! After the vehicle was completely dried and blown out all the crevices, I went back over the car with the already dampened towel with Ceramic Gloss on it with one fresh spray on the towel and applied a lite second coat. It definitely made the color deeper and gloss and slickness went up a notch. This may be my new process. I know, it’s not necessary, but it was such a quick and lite coat and made a noticeable difference. And when the customer is all smiles, it’s worth the extra 5 minutes.
Excellent, thanks for sharing.
Can’t believe I spent 2 hours watching this video. It was worth it!!!
Thanks Al!
It's nice to see people use the old trusty rotary buffer. Every channel I come across talks about the rotary buffer like its evil and that a da buffer is the best thing on the market. Back when I was one of the master detailers for a body shop, we had a saying, the rotary is for flatrate workers, and the da is for the hourly worker/home-gamer. The rotary just looked better and was faster for us.
Agreed
New some information on that cool cart!
We will have something soon
Great and informative video as usual. Suggest a video on "the arm pits" (Credit Larry K from Ammo NYC for the phrase for door jams) and sunroof interior channels where there's grease, lubricant and drain channels that must be respected when cleaning. Thank you
Good idea
I really needed those tips about PPF. I put some on my white F150 that goes offroad, I didn’t realize how much it would hold dirt! Watched all the way through.
Glad it helped!
Nick, we need that cart for sale on DIY Detail ASAP! I'm to lazy to build one. Take my money Nick. 😊
Thank you.
watched till the end ;)
Thank you
South bend indiana!! I grew up there. My parents still live there lol. Live in Elkhart Indiana now been here for 14 years now!!!
WNDU for 3 years from 2008-2011 😀
@@diydetailofficial that’s my favorite News station!! Watch it every day. Terry McFadden just retired like 3 weeks ago. Lololololol.
I cant wait for my P & S rinsless to finish so I can get DIY rinseless. Gonna grab some ceramic gloss too!
Thank you.
I was pure ONR since I started until I met DIY detail rinseless. it’s far superior
Great to hear thank you!
I can't believe I watched the whole thing 😀
Thank you.
Great job and show, enjoyed every minute of it. Is there anyplace in Tennessee where I can buy products? Thanks again
On line only at this time in TN.
Autoforge has come in clutch for DIY goodies.
Good
Would love to see more on the cart
Will do
Just finished watching to whole 2 hours. Don't tell my wife, i was supposed to be working!
Thank you.
Would you put here the link for the yellow sander? Seems to be the Phendo Sander that has a trigger on top like the Rupes

I have seen a few of your videos on ceramic coating vehicles but have never seen you apply it to rims other than metal ones.
My question is how do you polish and prep black factory painted rims that have some swirls on it in order to apply ceramic coating to it?
Polishing by hand or small machine
General question about using a no-rinse cleaner: Would you recommend using a no-rinse on a very dirty car first? And after application using my power washer to remove it?
Yes, here’s an example
ua-cam.com/video/uryuer3NuLM/v-deo.htmlsi=uV4XhTekM_pmEMRd
I'm curious to know if Nick or Yvan have a favorite color vehicle they enjoy detailing the most? I'm starting to develop a favorite for white vehicles. I get a very good satisfaction watching a dirty vehicle become white again
Black is the favourite
Ivan what's your technique for cleaning intricate areas such as honeycomb grilles, crevices in trim pieces, etc. when doing a rinseless wash? I prefer the sponge media but it's hard to get it all the way into tight areas
We use a flag tipped nylon brush.
@@diydetailofficial Ah thank you!
Many thanks for your "detail" videos. Question(s): Can you DIY RinseLess wash, clay and decon one day; let car sit overnight; then next day, apply/remove DIY gold polish, followed by 5yr ceramic coat? Or, DIY RinseLess wash, clay, decon and apply polis, but leave polish on overnight; then next day, remove DIY polish with RinseLess dampened towel and wipe; and followed by first, panel prep then DIY 5yr ceramic coat application? Another words, what's the max "dwell" time of the DIY gold polish? And, after the paint correction step, what's the max time lapse before the DIY ceramic coats products need to be applied? Your thoughts/suggestions are much appreciated.
Watching for this answer
Your best to not let it sit overnight. FYI the whole process from dirty to coated car should only take 3-4 hours
@@diydetailofficial Much appreciate your response. What about using your new product, the APP? After Rinseless wash and decon/clay, can I apply APP, let sit overnight ( with the APP still on the car) before having to remove your APP the next day, along with applying the DIY ceramic coat the next day? If so, can the car sit in or outside?
Is there a video where u guys showcase the detail cart build ?
Coming soon
Hey guys are these live chats getting earlier. They seemed to be about 8am Australian time. But these last few have been a few hours earlier. Thx
This one wasn’t planned. Normally we do them later 👍
Love you guys and never realized you were in the same city. Any interest in showcasing my Audi R8 Spyder for you guys to use for a show. The color is white and don’t remember seeing you do a white car. I don’t use it much so time is not a problem. Thanks!
Yes, we will be back in Omaha in August. Please email me. Yvan@diydetail.com
Any estimates on when can we expect to see Kneeling Creepers available for sale? Thanks.
This summer
Hi guys, 2 questions:
1. I left the lid off of my 3 year ceramic coating overnight in the garage, it was 60 degrees F. Is it still OK to use?
2. After coating my car with the 3 year coating, I noticed a scratched area on my trunk that I missed during the cut/polish process, which is now trapped beneath the ceramic coating. Do I need to cut down past the coating to the area of concern and reapply the ceramic? (Assuming the whole trunk panel)
Thx for everything that you do for us DIYers!!
Unfortunately yes, that coating should no longer be used( or use it on your mower or outdoor furniture).
For the trunk, yes you will need to polish and re-coat the panel
@diydetailofficial I figured so much...thanks!
I’m new to the Channel, I’m not a pro but I have being benging the channel and learning a lot. I have an orbital hand sander has 12500 single speed. What a the difference between between that speed and normal Rpm?
That’s fine, your sander is rated on Orbits Per Minute.
Will all clean remove older wax to prep for new wax coating
It will help , but polishing is best
Where did Yvan get the Rolling Detailing Creeper Seat?
I made it, it’s a prototype I’m working on
Will a glaze last longer if you are going to apply a ceramic coating?
Yes
@@diydetailofficial apply glaze first, then use the app?
Can All Clean and Incredible Suds be mixed in a foam cannon and if so at what dilution?
Yes, 27oz water, 4oz DIY Detail All Clean , 1 oz DIY Detail Incredible Suds
show us the video about the cart
Coming soon
When can we try your products in India
When a store decides to import them
Why such a low speed on the da?Is it because of the throw? I have the Griots G8, just wondering what speed works best with Gold Standard.
With a short stroke you need more speed
Thank you!
Is that cart purchased as is?
No, we built it
Do you rewet towel to wipe off polish?
No
Where to buy that pad washer
Most online retailers, including us carry it.
If I were to offer one package to my clients as a detailer that is the most profitable/sought after, what one package would that be? Keeping in mind that my target market is the luxury market (wealthy clients). What exactly would that one package include and what would you charge your clients for it?
Wash/Clay /Seal for $150
@@diydetailofficial Awesome, appreciate you!
Is your red jewelers pad designed just for a rotory machine?
It will also work on a DA.
Damnit of course I missed it. I have questions about the gold standard polish. How abrasive is it roughly? grit wise
It can remove 1000G sanding marks
@diydetailofficial and I can finish with it? Is it like a longer lasting diminishing abrasive?
@@diydetailofficial ok well when you get more in stock I need some. Hoping your product is the cure all
Yes you can finish with DIY Detail Gold Standard Polish. It’s extremely pad dependent. It’s not a cure all, but many professional detailers have started using it exclusively.
@diydetailofficial wow that makes it way more simple. I'm ready to buy some but you've been out of stocks for weeks it seems
He guys. The one viewer purchased a Hercules Rotary with a 7" backing plate. He asked what size pad to use and you mentioned the 6" or a 5" pad. That won't work u kess he got a 5 or 6"backing plate.
You would want a 6 inch backing plate with 6.5 inch pad
Can I polish my entire car with a 6in Random Orbital / DIY pads and gold standard polish?
Yes
With a rinseless wash how do you tackle the bugs on the front
Allow it to dwell and they come off with ease
What if you spray with all clean first and go over it with the rinseless wash is it okay when you put the sponge back in the bucket @@diydetailofficial
Yes
I watched the enter stream, thank you it’s always educational. One thing that irritates me is that you spent so much effort with the detail you didn’t take the rear license plate off to clean and protect behind it.
True
Three weeks ago restless, is still out of stock
Working on it.
First!!!!
dooh:)
Thank you.
