This is not an 88SPL. Someone took the cowling off one and put it on this old 85hp. Before the 90hp the pre 1986 motors were 85hp and all had the old style fuel pump. 1986 and up were 90hp with the VRO oiling system. The 88SPL was a 90hp without the VRO and had the old style fuel pump with premix gas.
