- What do you do when you end up with a First Act or Indiana cheapie strat copy?? You build an Eddie Van Halen Frankenstein Frankenstrat. Paint it, cut the pickguard out, cut the Floyd Rose nut out, wire it, put it all back together, string it up, tune it and start jammin'!!
This is the full video, full build, use with most of previous footage that took 2 separate videos before.
Thanks for Watching!

That was my type of video. I even liked the music for some unknown reason. It matches the build really well.
Thanks. That music is all me and Lance Loris. We had a band called BalloonHed.
Well done and nice playing! I have built a few different versions of EVH Frankenstrats too. Always fun...
THANKS!!
Incredible 😮
Thanks brother!
Love builds like this!
THANKS!!
You have so much patience! Nicely done🎸
THANKS!
Amazing job! Would love to build one!
Just do it! Find a cheapy for your first one.
Great Jams.
THANKS!
Great job
THANKS!!
Awesome!
THANKS!🤘
well done!
THANKS 🤘
Is it necessary to route for an additional space in the tremolo cavity for the floyd? Cool build.
Sometimes you have to or you can add a shim to the neck. This one worked though.
THANKS!
Awesome build! You have inspired me to copy you... I mean do my own build with a cheap Strat.
Please post a video of it! I'll check it out when you do!
Will do! It might be a few months though... I work slow.
@@Drew774is it done
Great stuff man!
Thanks!!
Nice
Thanks!!
epic!!!!!!
Thanks!!
nice build! could you possibly link me to where you got those templates for the taping? im looking to build one of these myself and it would be a great help
I'll get the link when I get back to my computer for you.
THANKS!!!
Were did you get the parts from? And wich kind of humbucker did you use? I was also wondering how you putted your floyd rose in the tremmelo hole without any modifications. Btw I am gonna build one for myself and i already found a strat just like yours so your video is going to help allot!
Donor guitar was a first act and kramer focus neck. Dimarzio pickup. I drilled out the holes for the floyd in the video. Make sure you measure !!
THANKS
Mine is in black and white era for a while,Maybe red will come before I die.
I understand! I am just hoping to get to the many projects I need to finish before I pass on. LOL!
So you just screwed the humbuckers in to the body no way of adjusting it?
Sure. I use a pretty stiff foam rubber underneath. You loosen it and the pickup rises. You screw it down, it lowers.
Just subbed
I just subbed you back! Thanks!
I have watched a few of your videos in the past. I thought I already subscribed, but apparently I accidentally unsubscribed. 😂 I do catch your videos in the feed once in awhile and watch through them. Great videos!
@@guitarhustlerdan thanks for the nice words, I’ll do a shout out for your channel
Where can I get a template of the taping prep for the red paint?
Here is a link to get it from. The best ones are on down in the message.

Slick build. How much do you think parts-wise you put into it?
Under $150 on this one. First Act guitar $50. Tremolo $25, pickups $35, paint $12, electronics $12. Parts were all used from other guitars. I'm about to build another by purchasing everything and make it more high quality. Stay tuned!
@@guitarhustlerdan For the tremolo, do you use one of the 20 dollar amazon/ebay chinese licenced by floyd rose peices? If so, how does it hold up? I'm building a frankenstrat right now, but as a teen I'm kinda on a budget, and want to know if it's worth putting one of those on, or just leaving the standard stock tremolo, as the cheap floyd rose's I've heard are really prone to breaking.
@@cereal334 yes. It's a cheap one.
@@guitarhustlerdan how does it hold up?
@@cereal334 it's holding up great. I did a set up on it and it's sitting pretty.
So good ❤❤
THANKS!!
My frankie is gonna be an SG style
Oh, I want to see that! I haven't seen an SG Frankie style. Post it when you get it done. Or do a video and put it up on youtube. Those are my favs
@@guitarhustlerdancheck out the Phil X Frankie in SG style. Really cool!
@@pvdguitars2951 I'll check it out.
That's pretty badassed!!
Is the floyd rose still holding up good?
I had to make a few adjustments on it to get it to intonate correctly, but it's holding up good yes.
Your supposed to paint the whole guitar white first, then tape it and paint it red. Tape the outsides of the black lines and then spray the black last.
That's mainly on the 5150 guitar. I will build one of those coming up. His franky was built from the black and white original body fron Van Halen 1.
@@guitarhustlerdan I realize that its the white and black guitar but it's still way easier to do it my way, I've built 5 of them. Have fun.
Which single coil pickup is used here
It's just a squier single coil that I painted the top of the plastic cover. I used primer Rustoleum to get close to the color of the mighty mite pickup that Eddie used.
Thank you for this info im building this for my birthday
@@guitarhustlerdan
@@complys6546 that's awesome!
Is it actually wired to the selector switch?
Check you out
Nice build but that music was horrible!!!
😂😂😂
The music is his band 100%
Omg the music horrible
It adds spice....😂🤣
