then how they will edit the details in the card if we upload it in a pdf document
They cannot edit it as a PDF document just from saving it here. If you want to sell editable templates, I recommend Canva :)

Awesome video!! Love your workflow and learned a new technique from you today. Lol. I usually just copy paste and transform (rotate) the image instead of copying the mask and then rotating that. Seems much easier. Lol. Thanks!!

why'd you made it in RGB and not CMYK? its gonna be printed right?
Hi! It depends on where you're printing. I've actually tested both and they came out the exact same colors. Technically CMYK would bring out more vibrant colors but I have had no issues with RGB. Again it depends on the printer :)

Hello, if you sell wedding invitation templates on Etsy, what file do you provide to your customers? Also once they purchase do you manually enter their names, date, place or you send them a PDF with fonts to edit somehow?
Hi there! I don't sell wedding invitations on Etsy anymore. I offer these as custom orders to clients that reach out to me. But I used to have a wedding stationery shop and I used www.Templett.com to create the templates. They edit them themselves when they purchase :)

Do you print this image on a 5x7 card or on standard letter size. If I try printing it on 5x7, it make the image smaller and does not print all the way to the edge. Please help!
To be honest I send it to a local printing store lol! But if I print at home, I use letter size

Hi Kasha! Great question. I actually don't print my invitations at home. I only deal with the digital side of my products - I send everything to professional printing companies to take care of :). I'm not sure about the best printers but I always ask for 100-130lb card stock. Sorry I don't have an answer for that!

Great videos! Thanks! I have been designing wedding invitations for print. I use illustrator. I think it would be nice to offer an editable digital option. Is it possible to use illustrator and Adobe Reader still instead of Canva since illustrator is what I’m used to using and have my designs in already? Also, what happens if you use a font that the user does not have installed on their system? Will this cause a problem? Thanks!
Hi there! I've never personally sold templates with Illustrator so I'm not sure if it's possible. I've tried Canva, Templett, and Corjl. You can make PDF it and make it an editable PDF? But it would not be as flexible in design as the other options

Hi! I personally don't use InDesign but I believe you can create wedding invitations on there! I might try it out in the future but right now, I use Illustrator and Photoshop only :) I believe the fonts are free for commercial use however I always google it if I have not purchased it lol most of the fonts I use for commercial, I have purchased it online. But ones that I haven't, I google if it's okay to use for commercial and I have found most of them are! It's just to be safe of course :)

Hi! When the invitation is finished do you print the invitations by yourself on a paper that the client specifies, or do you directly send the finished digital file of the invitation to the client and they print it themselves? Also, what type of file is best for exporting and sending to a client?
Hi! When I was a freelancer, I printed them myself. But if you want a digital product business, you would just send the digital print to the customer. It's totally up to you :)

Hi! I don't print them myself - I always get them printed at my local prints :) I would just do the research on what printers would be best and the cardstock to use - I always request 110 - 130lb cardstock

Hi! I have three questions. I'd like to make a wedding invitation on black card.
1. I would like to ask if I have to work in Adobe Illustrator on a black background and then it will be printed in black or do I have to work on transparent sheet in Adobe Illustrator and then select the black sheet when printing? I think the second option is correct, but I'm not sure.
2. I also want silver elements on the invitation. To have silver elements on the invitation, I have to choose silver ink when printing? Do I have to set it up in the program somehow?
3. I want a two-page wedding invitation with the word "wedding" on the front page and all the information I need on the back of the page. So how am I supposed to design such an invitation?

You can import the design to Canva yes! I would offer them the template so they can edit the text for themselves :)

You're welcome! I opened it in Photoshop because I prefer the eraser tool on there as opposed to on Illustrator and I wanted to show how to use it :) hope that helps!

I'm making an invitation for my grandma's 88th birthday and since we're gonna be printing them at home they'll be in A4 paper format (ratio: square root of 2) so it'll look more like a letter or flyer.

Hi! It depends - are you printing it out at home or at a store? I used to always take it to a store and would tell them I want it on 130 lb white card stock

Can you please elaborate is it necessary to add print bleed on these invites? If yes than how can I do that in Adobe Illustrator?
Hi! I add bleed when I send it to the printers to print for me because they usually ask for bleed. All you have to do is change the artboard size up at the top where I showed how to change artboard :) For example this is a 5"x7" artboard. However the printing house asks for a 0.25" bleed so I change the artboard size to 5.25"x7.25". Hope that helps!

I don't think you can from illustrator so I recommend using Canva for templates :)
