Hi thanks for your tutorial. I am wondering whether you can help, I am trying to create two illustrated initals which are entwined and central on the front of the invite. How do I know that they are central and overlap correctly when the invite is closed? Thanks

You should divide the art into 3 parts with guide lines. Let the side portion be half the size of the middle portion.

so tried to do this and got to minute 1:14 where you delete the rectangles, for me it deletes the lines from the ruler aswell

in order to keep the lines from the ruler you must..... go to the "view tab" along the top tool bar... {View > Guides> Lock Guides} that way your ruler guide lines will not disappear!
