i was showing the song to my son as i heard for the first time 40 years ago in university party. I was amazed of so many covers of this song.but this one is simply the most beautiful.
This is great. One thing I think many covers of a'f'e (including most of GN's live versions) miss is one of the main things that made the original single great was the thick solid pulsing nonstop locked-in groove it had - and this cover innovates on the groove while also keeping it pulsing and chugging the whole way through. Well done.

After some searching I found the 'retro style' point&click adventure 'VirtuaVerse' on steam where most of the GFX was taken from.
You took perfectly fresh-baked warm synth grooves and reheated them to perfection, layering in mouth-watering vocals to complement the trance-like percussive soundscape, resulting in a true feast for the ears.

Great cover it's hard to believe this song is 45 years old now.
AFE is definitely one of my all time favorite songs.
Gary Numan is one of my top inspirations, and AFE fully encompasses the aesthetic I am always going for!

Nice job man I am thinking about to make this a synthwave beat too but with more electronic in it. I think the bass arpeggio could've used a bit more side chain so the kick would fall more in the song
