Arrowhead hunting TN - December finds with beauty and serrations.. Lots of serrations!

  • This year is ending off the way I was hoping it would. Full of sharp pointy rocks! As the weather gets colder, the competition gets scarcer out there! The persistence pays off with another haul of nice artifacts including more of my favorite point types. Big Sandy, pine tree, Kirk, Harpeth river... It's another solid lineup of classic TN point types! Thanks for checking it out! Please share, like, and subscribe!

      Thanks man, I appreciate the appreciation of me finding it! At least if I’m the one to recover it, it’s shared for everyone to see. There’s no telling what all gets found out there that remains to be unseen. Thanks as always buddy!

      Thanks man! Yeah, that kirk at the end is near the top of my list as far as my prettiest artifacts go. If I made something like that, I’d hate to mess it up by using it! Maybe that’s why it was still in such great shape?! Haha

      Thanks man! It’s my nicest kirk for sure, and one of the nicest / prettiest pieces I have! If I made something like that, I wouldn’t want to use it and mess it up! Maybe the guy that made it felt the same… that’s why it was in such good condition! Haha Thanks for checking it out buddy!

    Every one is personal and when I see them I wonder.
    It puts perspective into my world, understanding of my place in a fragment of time, respect for others that have lived the Life before me and Wonder at their perspective.
    Thanks, good day sir

      Yeah, it can really blow your mind when you think how insignificant our lives are in the grand scheme of things. How short of a time span we are here. Then you start thinking about the 1000’s of years they inhabited this land, compared to the 500ish years we have!

      That is funny, I wonder the same things myself. Usually when I go into an old farmstead that is run down, it really makes me think and ponder. Did these people live out their hopes and dreams? When and why did it get abandoned? When I see an old barn I just think to myself at one point in time, when they just finished building it, they stood back and were so proud of what they had just built and here I am seeing it on the oppose end (falling apart). I always thought I was a weirdo for thinking this stuff....LOL

    My god unbelievable again!!! Iv never seen a point like the first one with an edge straight like on that first one!! And the last one just absolutely a smoker!! Mad Serrations !! Mad Cole in that rock!!! That is so so pretty!! Could not find a better guy to pick that one up! Hope you got some scuba gear for Christmas because you need to be scuba diving in that bank again some of those were just inches away from being washed away forever great saves merry Christmas!

    • @Points365
      @Points365  2 роки тому +1

      Haha thanks buddy! But yeah, that kirk at the end… the guy that made that must have been showing off when he made that or something. It’s just too over the top in terms of quality! That particular spot produces some of my best quality artifacts. The whole village must have been showy like that! Haha But nah, no scuba gear from Santa… bummer! I’ve thought about it though. There is a ton of silt out in the water there. I imagine I would come up empty handed. But I still dream about what’s laying beneath it! Maybe a vacuum of some sort would work…🤔

      Man, I need to come up there and start planting some for you to stumble across! Haha Maybe place one in the dirt by your driveway… behind a flower pot… under the door mat… you know, make it look natural so you won’t suspect a thing! Haha But really, that’s cool that you’re at least able to check out the rings! If that’s visible, then there has to be SOMETHING poking up out of the dirt around there!

      Yeah I wouldn’t mind a bit I’d throw them in a case really quickly lol the rings are still very perfect they are located where he parks his equipment he grew up at that farm the never found points but they did find a bunch of hammer heads Through the years I don’t think they had much napable stone here not a flake around the rings.

I need to find more of it! But yeah I’m thinking that was a pine tree, minus the ears. I have a few earless pine trees. Not sure if that was a style or if it’s a result of resharpening? But dude you ain’t kidding! Ive been wearing it out this year.. which is good cuz 2020 was slowww for me! Too many people off work and out hunting last year I guess! Truth be told.. I was climbing up into a beaver den dug out into the side of a creek bank, looking to see if there were any artifacts uncovered by their digging. When out of nowhere I was charged by 4’ beaver. Sunk its orange teeth right into my voice box. Then out of nowhere the whole family came out and started trying to drag me deeper into their lair. I was able to nab one of the little ones and snap a tooth from its head, where I proceeded to take out every one of the little sobs using that one tooth as my weapon. I came strutting out of that hole sporting some snazzy new clothes made of beaver pelts. But my voice was gone from that day on.

    Glad not to be on the recieving end of any of those points good month but once agian sometimes it's hard to watch a lot of the high plains just four feet down is million year old dirt and most of the surface is covered in buffalo grass there very few spots where you. Can really get the kind of erosion you get from the river but its still cool to see your finds I tried to brag up the wicked flint ax I found this year a real rarity only complete one in 40 years and it was 90 percent buried and I passed over it once because of its grey color out on the eastern plains there is almost 12 feet average of dirt down to the paleo level but most of its farmed and only a few rivers eastern Colorado I mean but the high parks where ii hunt are just real rocky and volcanic and has been nothing but grass for thousands of years but on the other hand it's sort of like the places you hunt in the way that you can find anything from 200 years ago to 15000 years ago on the surface it just a lot harder looking like millions of acres but I'm going to find a clovis this year even if I have to clone a mammoth and brain wash it regressing it back 12000 years and then after learning to speak mammoth making it lead me to the honey hole!

    • @Points365

      Man, the thought of having to traverse over miles of rocky, grassy areas, looking for a glimpse of an artifact poking out sounds wild! It takes some true dedication to get out the to do it, and an eagle eye to spot it. Thanks to the destructive power of water, I obviously follow in its wake to see what it uncovers, before it’s once again buried or lost by the same waters that uncovered it. But it sounds like your mammoth clone is in the works! I keep reading articles about the hopes and plans to resurrect the mammoth. More like a hybrid, using part Asian elephant dna as well. Either way, you plan may come true! Haha I dream of the day I stumble upon a clovis.. or a Cumberland.. I just keep finding broken pieces of them!

      @Points365  2 роки тому

      Haha well I can assure you it’s all legit. If you knew the amount of hours spent, miles walked, and places traveled to in a week it might be a little more believable. I’m not sure where you’re from, but the TN river valley is notoriously… well.. loaded! Not only is it just loaded, but it’s loaded with some of the finest artifacts in the country. For that it attracts it’s fair share of artifact hunters. I mostly hunt on weekends, as I still have a job to go to during the week. But I’m typically out for 12 plus hours both saturdays and sundays. It’s not uncommon for me to come home with nothing sometimes. Then again it’s not uncommon to come home with 8 complete artifacts. Not to mention all the broken pieces I find. I typically find at least 6 broken pieces each trip. Sometimes up to 20 broken pieces per trip. Not consistent at all! That last piece in this video, a kirk, is one of my most beautiful artifacts. If it weren’t for that broken ear, it would be completely perfect! I understand the skepticism. I get that from time to time. I can hardly believe it myself most of the time! Haha Thanks for checking out the video man, and hope you come back to check more!
