      I agree, the mud and sand has a way of preserving artifacts so much better than gravel! And trust me…. I wonder ALL the time what’s in the mud right beneath my feet! Haha Apparently I’m not the only one that wonders that though! Thank you as always for taking the time to check out the finds and leaving such expressive comments!

      Greenbrier Dalton on that first if I’m not mistaken… which is highly likely with me! Hah but thanks again man! Glad you’ve been having some luck out there yourself!

      Thanks as always buddy! Oddball finds are always welcomed when I’m out there on the hunt. I went out on a metal detecting day trip not too long ago. Wound up finding 2 nice arrowheads that day. Haha I just can’t get away from them! 😂 Thanks as always man!

      Thanks as always! The last 2 were found just a few feet from each other. I don’t normally show much broken stuff due to the amounts of broken pieces I find, but thought since the last 2 were so similar and unusual, I would throw it in there as well. I know I don’t have any pieces in my collection that are like it. I’m glad you enjoyed and took the time comment. Take care until next time!

      @Points365  6 місяців тому +1

      Man I agree.. I’m not even really sure what that material is, and I only have maybe 3-4 pieces made out of it. One of which is a more recent find. I was metal detecting and found a big sandy made out of that material. It’ll be in an upcoming video. I tried something different making a video of some metal detecting and wound up still finding 2 really nice point in the process! Haha what can I say… I just can’t get away from the native artifacts!

My current setup is really lacking in.. well… space really! Haha It’s just so much in a relatively small area it gets a little overwhelming. If I ever get the setup that I’m working on, I’d gladly do the collection video. I appreciate you man and take care!

    • @Points365
      @Points365  6 місяців тому

      That particular spot where I found that first point doesn’t spit much out more than a flake every now and then. I’d probably fall back in the mud and start making mud angels if I walked up on a big ol fluted clovis there! 😂
      I asked a couple people on that last piece and they both thought pickwick on that last one. I don’t really see pickwick, but I trust their judgement. Thanks as always buddy!

      I hear ya man.. I wonder stuff like that all the time. The place and time these artifacts were a part of is almost unimaginable considering the landscape and world these days. It pains me to think of old sites being covered up daily with parking lots and neighborhoods. So much lost!

    Always a pleasure to go along with you on your hunt.what a nice variety of points types and materials today on this video, I think the last point may be a dover adena vanishing stem or narrow stemmed, nice all around finds nice civil war bullet as well, congrats

    • @Points365
      @Points365  6 місяців тому

      Thanks man! I appreciate you taking the time to check them out. Narrow stem adena was an initial thought, but a couple buddies of mine separately thought pickwick. I don’t really see it personally, but I do find a LOT of broken pickwicks from that particular spot. I’m admittedly not the pro at identifying though! Thanks again buddy.

      I’m pretty much all over the middle TN area. Lakes, rivers, creeks, and fields. But that’s awesome about your finds. That place is definitely situated in a nice spot! I delivered to that hotel and surrounding areas years back with my job. I was always thinking about what was laying just beneath the asphalt I was driving on out there! No telling what was uncovered back in the day when they were construction opryland, or the mall that’s in its place now. Thanks for sharing your story!

    • @Points365
      @Points365  6 місяців тому +1

      Thanks man! I initially thought narrow stem adena, but was unsure. So I asked a couple guys I know and both suggested pickwick. I really don’t see it, but I trust their judgement. I do find a lot of broken pickwicks at that particular spot, so it would make sense. Those flake blades can be hard to spot and identify sometimes. Good eye catching it! Good luck on your future hunts out there. Spring will be here before you know it!

    I would love to know how that Minnie Ball got there

    • @Points365
      @Points365  6 місяців тому +2

      I wonder things like that all the time. Years ago I found 2 enfield bullets laying next to each other. Next trip there, a 3 ringer. Next trip another 3 ringer. I decided to go back withy metal detector. I wound up finding about a dozen more minie balls, union and confederate made enfield bullets, and 1 small caliber bullet. All unfired. I bet there was an interesting story behind that!
