Awesome, thanks for your analysis. Like you, I should be used to the surprises Dimash brings to every performance by now, but this one was beyond words. A simple, unchanged vowel, yet such an enormous amount of emotion and meaning. It's almost as if Dimash took the audience from the flattest earth up through the clouds and to the highest heavens with his voice. That probably sounds a bit too hyperbolic, but for me, it raised my spirit so high. It's also an amazing gift Dimash has to communicate with people of all languages. When a second language fails in expression, everyone returns to their mother tongue for the deepest conveyance of emotion, and here, even that seems to have been inadequate to express what you were feeling! Amazing.
Technically, I'm just a layperson and not in any way trained in pedagogy. The one thing that I noticed, beyond the piercing, perfect pitches and his mastery of dynamics, was the fact that he appeared to never. close. his. mouth. throughout the entire performance. I would assume that is incredibly difficult and hard on the vocal cords themselves, not to mention jaw fatigue! It's almost as if he was literally using his musculature to shape and contract the vocal cords, vocal tract while externally remaining in a solid position. Amazing to me.

I would be interested to hear your reaction to Dimash's "Ogni Pietra", specifically the "Fan Cam" version, where the camera stays positioned on his face and you can really see his mastery of technique throughout. Another candid performance that shows his ability to instantly entrance and hold firm an audience is a live camera capture of "SOS D'un terrien detresse" from Cannes. You've probably already seen him perform "SOS", but that particular live version is very illustrative of the magnetic appeal of DImash's voice.

Hello from the U.S. Thank you for the reaction and analysis. It’s hard to say which of the three is my favorite - they are so different from each other and I love all 3. I must have listened to each one 50+ times. If I had to pick, though, I’d say it’s a toss up between Stranger and Ave Maria, but for different reasons. I really enjoyed Fly Away, too, but pop is not my favorite genre. Still, when he transitions from chest to head when he sings “fly away” it’s so beautiful; hits me right in my aural sweet spot.

I live in the USA and I wish he was better known here too. He should be on the lips and in the hearts of all people as he is the best and most talented singer/stage performer of all time. As astonishing as it is he seems to improve every year, although that seems impossible as I heard him for the first time three years ago I felt he was the most perfect singer I had ever heard.

Krutoy and Dimash are the magicians of our time. I believe the song was intentionally left without lyrics. I don't think that angels sing with lyrics, or they use any language at all, so it make sense. Since the song is without lyrics, this suggests that the message is carried by the voice, melody and sounds. So, I decided to dig a little deeper to find out exactly what message Di and Krutoy are sending to us. I took a sheet of paper, a pen and I put on my headphones and I let my senses follow Ave Maria. I placed each phrase of my feelings exactly on the place of the song, where the music provoked it in me. Something indescribable happened to me. I experienced pure exaltation and I decoded the messageр at least for herself.. You can also try listening to Ave Maria while you reading these lyrics and you will see what will happen to you ...
