    Its not just the perfect timing and accuracy for me, that makes Hetfield a truly special guitarist. Its the dynamics, the accents, the contrast between the heavy palm muted notes and the crushing open ones that showcases that machine like precision, the clarity in the alternate picking sections, the contained vibrato, the pick attack... notes stop when they should, nothing lingers...I think I never heard Hetfield playing without immediately recognising that right hand

    • @hoothoot2112
      @hoothoot2112 Рік тому

      Couldn’t have said it better myself! James’s mastery over his guitar and how he wants it to sound is beyond appalling. Playing the notes to a Metallica riff is demanding in its own right, but playing with dynamics, precision, contrast, rhythm and feel requires an entirely different level of skill that goes unnoticed by many. Just the mere sound of his picking and riffage is a source of knowledge and inspiration

      Showing James Hetfield's precision and aggressive playing

    The fact that you guys destroy the title of your videos by using the recorded riffs still blows my mind. You wont hear precision that way. Live is how you test precision. All these so called "riff precision" videos arent that. They are just riff montages and thats all. Studios are to much of a controlled setting meant to be that way. But if you really want to hear how precise james really is or any musician for that matter. LIVE is the only way. The variables change show to show set to set. Live is the only way to test precision.
