Great flight Gina! Takeoff was perfect, landing was too really...the gear got you. Like you said...the mod is a great idea, raking it forward made the difference with mine.
Thank you, Adam! I think this Moth tracks straight and true which helps immensely with take offs. I'll be adding the u/c mod to the pile of other mods and various repairs to get done over the winter.
It flies really really well! When I was a little boy I built a yellow Airfix-Tiger Moth plastic model. Your Moth flew as I imagined my own plastic model flying as a child. A dream came true! 🌝❤
I enjoyed watching the good time you had with your lovely Moth. I agree with your urge to fly when the conditions are so very nice. It's just a shame not to enjoy those great flying minutes when they occur. Your take off run was so nice, straight, and scale like! I believe that was the best I have seen from your runway. And the low passes you made were very smooth and realistic as well. When I am trying to do a stall turn, I leave a fair bit of throttle in it as she goes straight up. Then when it slows almost to a stop, I put in rudder while there is still some prop blast flowing over the tail. And I have noticed that most of my planes have a tendency to swing more easily to one side more than the other. (Often going to the left is easier.) So I go with that, as it seems the model just wants to swing that way. That was some good stuff! There were several moments when - with your moderate speed - it just looked like a full size Tiger Moth flying over your field.
Thanks very much, JR! Yeah, I thought a stall turn would be easy with the huge rudder that the Moth has. I just wound up being a 'stall flop' instead! 😄😄😄 I'll try and remember your advice next time and keep some power on at the point of stall.
Hi Gina, Another lovely flight. Your take off this time was the best I've seen so far. Looks like you are getting the hang of using some rudder on take off. Your stall turns, you need to keep the power on a bit longer, and once over the top, or just before the model starts the dive down, then pull the power off. It's a technique that takes practice. It took me quite some time in my early years of flying to get it more or less right. It's also easier to do a stall turn into the wind if it's in the right place, otherwise, in calm weather anywhere you want to do stall turn is good. The landing was really good even if it tipped onto its nose, but not your fault, the strip moved!😁 Anyhow, a good flight. Still waiting for good weather here to fly, it's been quite windy the whole time, a real pain. Catch up next video. Lee.
G'Day, Lee! Thanks, chap ☺ Sorry to see you're still suffering from the bad weather blues down under. Well done for spotting that pesky landing strip deliberately moving just as I approached... 🤥😆😆
Lovely! This flies beautifully, great fun. You're q right to take advantage of the good weather whilst we have it!
Nice one Gina. 🌟👍
Thank you, William! ☺

Wonderful flight and flying. Excellent model as well.
Thanks very much, chap! ☺☺ Yes, I think it's one of Dynam's best efforts.
