Daily log- I saw Josh, he seemed confused, frustrated, and all around unmotivated. Papatron was also caught on camera. He didnt say a word, no fire, and nothing sketchy whatsoever. I fear if winter doesn't end soon, we're going to have to evacuate the neighbors. The burning rubber air fresheners aren't going to be enough. Winter must end, it must.
I still say a gasser setup would be sick and you wouldn't have to worry about hitting the tires 😂 but no matter what you do it's going to be sick! Keep up the content man
I’d put an x pipe in front of the motor and cross feed the twin turbos, feed the passenger turbo from the drives side and Vice versa, put the radiator in front of the core support
I took the easy way out on my last 1, ran crossover under the trans into passenger side log manifold. 1 option for a cheaper T6 log is buy cheap eBay t4 log and chop flange off then weld t6 flange on. It's not the prettiest but it's kinda hidden. Merge pipes can be a pain tryin to keep everything simple.
In a old hot rod magazine a 55 had a big turbo dead center plumbed to go directly into the intake. Also saw another that was tucked in the corner next to the firewall
Wouldn't it be better to put the turbo on the driver's side up front in the corner that way you'll have a little weight on that side so that corner won't jump up so badly...every hot rod the front end driver's side wheel always comes up first...
Yes and no. A lot of times a good anti roll bar and a stiff chassis will take care of that twist. I just don't like having the exhaust coming out the driver side cause its loud lol and if you have the window down with like a fender exit or something then those fumes make their way inside the car sometimes
Do and air to water set up. Definitely can be street drive . Don’t understand why people say you can’t. The ford lightning,03-04 cobra, Zl1,Zr1 all prove you can. Plus there are all kind of pumps, heat exchanger’s ETC. plus you live up north where the weather is decent and cooler VS me I live in the Deep South and still would run an Air to water VS A/A.
No, you absolutely can street drive them. I didn't mean to imply they couldn't be. I had an a2w on my RX7. But I didn't like all the extra stuff involved, remembering to put ice in it, remembering to turn the pumps on. Just whiny little stuff like that lol I just want an a2a for simplicity.
@@SniderTron3000 Definitely understand the A/A simplicity. It is with out a doubt effective. A/W also has downfalls as you said plus more. I forget you did have a A/W setup on the RX7. Whatever you choose it will be awesome to see the finished product as always.
I just posted my ict c6 alternator bracket on marketplace that puts it exactly where you want it & uses a truck alternator. I’m near Detroit but can ship it to you also
You need some old style block hugger headers that exits in the center of the headers, and put the turbos right over the rear of upper A-frames on each side💯💪🏻💪🏻
Screw it lsa the 5.3 and never look back. Or run electric water pump. I know I know baller money on a pauper budget.... 😂 Keep going with the turbo in only taking your chain.
Hey, Josh, are you running both 2 1/4" Pipes together before the Turbo? So both flow through one 2 1/4" pipe. Seems like it would be a restriction? just by 2 cents.
In my Humble opinion, both sides should merge into a 3 inch pipe. Maybe my eyes deceived me, but right now both sides merge into a 2 1/4 inch pipe? It seems like for a 1000 horsepower that would be a restriction?
@kevinjennische8209 yeah, thats what it does. 2.25" out of the manifolds and then they merge into a 3 inch. Or are you saying you think it should be 3" out of the manifolds?
Lol motivation. Winter time blues

Lmao
65 degrees here in Texas

That could be cool
The drinking water qaulity in Michigan might be trash, but the 55 content is definitely not!
Lol
My setup looks close to that in a 66 pontiac catalina. I have the ac compressor also mounted on that side. Ict billet mounts. Truck spacing.
Run a single big turbo in the headlight bucket.
I love the 55. I have an old ratty race/street 55 that has served me well. Great channel! Thanks!!
Michigan winter weather also doesn’t help in the motivation department ❄️ ⛄️
Motivation in the winter is a mo fo too.

I was really thinking about buying one of the cheap t4 logs and chopping the flange off lol that was my plan C cause the ebay logs are like $120 or so

Are you ever gonna finish the fiero?
Yeah, I just got some more stuff for it the other day. Its just an issue of getting motivated to work on it right now
Love it! Keep up the hard work.
Love the videos.
Tri-fives, the car that looks like you have a lot more room under the hood than you do.

Agreed.👍
Summit makes some manifolds that hang the turbos kind of above the control arms. Someday I wouldn't mind trying them
Just procharge it and keep the radiator in the front 😂
F1X 🥵🥵 lol
Was using that 417 Ls coolant manifold not an option on that car
put the turbo on the driver side lol
Do what you think is best on the 55 when is the drawing on the elcamino or still waiting to do it
Still waiting for it to fill up

Those LS manifold’s can you put them on upside down? Instead of pointing into the chassis.
How you liking the holley split intake?
This is going to be a great runner when you get done 👍👍
Let's get it been waiting
Why not orientate it like a gn? Have the inlet face a fender.

The 2.25 merge into single 3"
I have a car with 2” that’s merged into 2 1/4 into a t4 turbo. Had the same setup on another car and it went 9.90 at 135mph on 17-18psi.
Btw i agree it wouldn’t be a good idea in a build like this with a t6 I think the 2.25 into 3 like he has it it ideal.
