I used DLC persona (specifically Izanagi) to speedrun through my 2nd playthrough for 100%. Thinking to dispatch trash mobs in palaces is very tiring when you've seen them in your first playthrough. I was focusing on maxing all social links anyways (no to harem route though loyal to the best girl beep boop Makoto) so breezing through enemy encounters was a lifesaver.
When a fights bs is enough to go "Alright f*ck this, ALL BS WILL BE REVEALED!"

Seeing this fights again makes me sad that there is no boss rush mode or mod because this fights thematically and mechanically are very cool but depending on how you are you can sometimes breeze through them easily.

Genuinely when I first fused Izanagi-no-Okami Pic. I didn't use him for a while because I knew full well that he was overpowered. I got so used to not using him that the first time I actually struggled, I spent a while trying to find the best tactical move to make with my personas, until I saw remembered, oh yeah, I have Myriad Truths! and then the fight was over

@vVictorNos I have PS4 Royal. While you had to "buy" the DLC they were free.
When I got Persona 5 Royal, I instantly decided to use five of the DLC Personas (I didn’t want to leave Arsene out of the team) because it felt like I had the previous Wild Cards helping me. One of the Personas I chose was Thanatos. Needless to say, I started cackling when I realized that his level meant his signature move did a critical hit every time I used it when I was in Kamoshida’s Palace. That team helped me breeze through the Palace in one day, which I don’t mind because I’m playing the game for the story, so I don’t plan on switching them out anytime soon. (Incidentally, having the DLC Personas also meant I got access to Raoul early, so I essentially got revenge for the game forcing me to fuse Arsene away earlier.)

In my playthough i promised myself that i'd only use dlc personas when i reached the level for them or are able to fuse them
Safe to say it certainly felt more fulfilling for myself
And then there's Network fusion.
I mean, being able to fuse strongest of personas this way is a bit too much.
Yeah i was going for the same thing, but i reached twin warden's rank 10 and spent like 200k yen to get izanagi nop lol

Did ya'll go straight for the DLC in your first run, or wait till Late Game/NG+ to start usin em? I tried to avoid InOP first playthrough until I hit a wall at Okumura's boss fight, and still tried to avoid him after.
nah cuz i used it on the first form and one shot it then i used it on the second one AND HASKSFHFHSA ONE OF THE MADARAMES DODGED IT
Though out myriad truths and Megidolaon he is the chosen one
I didn't use it until I completed its fusion and it still broke the game...

I mean can a win in JRPG be really hard? It's a chance based combat and all you do is press buttons without a time limit, harder difficulty means it takes more grind (again, in a JRPG...) to proceed

@@ricedolphin7348I mean grinding is one way to win, but you can use strategy to beat it quicker or at lower levels. And finding which strategy works for a boss or finding the optimal strategy is where it can get fun.
