Good work and clever thinking condensing the workshop. I know what you mean when you take stuff that is too good to throw away from others. Been going through my stuff and getting rid of it. I was worried when I didn't see the mini. Glad that's still happening. Good luck for the rest of 2024.
Good move - no point paying for space that isn’t earning its keep. As for having tools and parts you can’t find when you need them - I know that feeling. Having a lot of stuff only works with a proper inventory system and I’ve yet to achieve that… All the best. 👍🏻
Same here. Lately I've been on an organizing mission. Sure feels great to get things in order. Once started, it's addictive! Funny too, projects take less time & I'm happier not spending hours hunting for the thing I "know I have here somewhere!"
Nice one, I don’t envy you moving shops i moved about 30 yards. A skip of unwanted stuff later and what a ball ache! Still could clear out more though I recon! Got me thinking now 🤣
Man making smart of use of limited space is always worth the time! Spent years basically wrenching out of large single car garages and a driveway… Nice shop space!!
Good luck to you! I wish you all the best in your efforts. You're a good fabricator you can definitely make a good living for you and your family . If you do commission work I have a few bits you're more than capable of. Let me know 👍
Good to see the urch is leaner more streamlined and moving forwards in the new unit, still watching the Kun Ming milling machine vids , can’t find one anywhere , just scored an Elliott omni mill that will keep me going while I finish repairs to my CenteC 2b . Well done on the 18Th , that’s a few quid I have to spend too. Keep it moto !
Good to see and hear chap \o/ Filing cabinets are superb, I have a few 4 draw types and a couple of the type originally used for stationary (paper/envelopes i'm guessing) - superb tool and part storage options. Some of them I have mounted on castor frames, so they can be easily moved around. I have one really odd one, it has 10 drawers as is a good 5 feet high - perfect for rags, rolls and sheet storage - keeps everything free from debris. I had to eat two whole packs of kipling apple pies so I could cut up the boxes for label inserts on the draws. It was such a tough sacrifice 😎
What a great looking new workshop and looks like a pretty easy way to load the car trailer too. Nice machine room idea and keeping Urch Road clean with a curtain - I get a bit sick of cleaning dust off the lathe ways so I put a giant cover (actually just a thick polythene sheet) over it that tucks behind the back plate and gets held on with a couple of strong magnets to keep it out of harms way when turning.
New workspace looks good Matt and I know where you are coming from with stuff that is too good to throw away. It's not a nice feeling when your gets your bike stolen, been down that road. Take care. Cheers
Always good to have a good old clear out every once in a while. Things that I have unearthed and either thrown out or stuck up onto Ebay staggers the mind. Earnt a few quid as well....
Great channel mate, everything in its right place. I love watching your videos and that Mongrel is simply the coolest custom car build on youtube, hands down!
Looks a lot more efficient. I hear you on finding things you didn't remember you had. Downsizing my kart racing trailer led to many such discoveries and I worry that there is still stuff squirrelled away some where. Finding the time can be a problem sorting and reorganizing.
Nice to see you again lol, this place seems alot better for you, less to pay out & less space to collect & store stuff that you wouldn't used that often.
I like your idea of using filing cabinets to store away your tools.👍 I’ve just moved and had the same problem as you with all the ‘that might come in handy one day’ tools I had kicking around. And as hard as it was, I had to get brutal because I had no time or space to deal with them and If it wasn’t worth much, it got weighed in and sold as scrap. I hawked the rest around the trade, so they still live on. Well done with your move and thanks for the update.
Congratulations on your career advancement an new shop. Dad first, then your avocation. Been there…You man-up to do what is best. Prayer for you young man.🙏
Nice to have you back Matt! 👍Missed not seeing your content but as you say you've had bigger priorities & family to look after. Look forward to seeing the Mushy pea again soon!...Take Care.
I wondered where you had gone. Life goes on and forward. You need to make money. Family comes first. There are things I really enjoy doing but have only had partial success as a business. It's hard for most people to appreciate that without money you can't eat or look after your family. Id love to see you do another major car project but do what you need to do. I totally get it. 👍👍
Missed your ongoing projects, nice to see that apart from being creative you have your priorities straight, food on the table, family comes first. Beside being a first rate dad in the new workshop everything is at hand and good luck with the upgrade in skill sets. All the best in the new year Urch!
Good to see you back again Matt.. ‘Hoarder’! Yep I can relate to that although I’m not a hoarder at all… not me..nope! Nice little move and some good use of space etc.. Mushy Pea looks cool on the lift. Looking forwards to watching more fab stuff.
hope 2024 is a good year for you & the workshop space works nicely for what you got planned . Tool holders look good, i'll be wanting a visegrip and air tool holder . Best wishes and look forward to some content and a raffle perhaps.
for an electrician you do well in sheet metal work... I am an electrician/electronics engineer, mechanics, welding I get by but not on car sheets... well done (translated from French by Google translate)
Good luck with your new space. Those old filing cabinets are a great idea. I think they'd look really good if you gave them a blow over in some colour.
One of my good mates is a spark he makes a decent living from it here in the Northamptonshire Much more than I do with my owns joinery shop you can do everything for a van
G'day Matt, I like the shed but where's the 100E front that you had on the wall? That was your trade mark front piece, that will be mist, I hope you didn't get rid of it...😐
Nice to see you back have you thought about trying to do some collaborations with other You-tubers other sites I watch have done this and when they have I have ended up subscribing to them. maybe making roll cages for some race teams who are on the Tube.
The economy and inflation worldwide is absolute CRAP !!!! We have a potato to blame for it all over here but it won't be a fast rebound even after he is gone. Glad to see your able to make things work out for you and your family. 👍
There must be a ton of work doing solar installations and maintenance, a good time to be doing it. But since when has the UK had enough sun to charge an AA battery?
Nice to see you back, have missed your content, onwards and upwards for 2024
Hats off to you fella! Supporting the family is what it’s all about. We’re not going to see a solar powered Urchfab are we?
A man being a man and providing for his family, good on you Matt
A good clean out is good for the soul.
Indeed it is mate.
Hey man,
Goodluck with the new workspace.
Thanks for the tour.
✌️ Peace from Melbourne Australia.
G'day Matty. Missed you Mate. I see the milling machine is gone? You'll probably miss that. Good to see you back. Billy J. Queensland Australia.
Hey Billy. It is, I never used it so it went to a new home. Cheers
You are so good at fabricating things and your welding you must be able to make a good living doing that!

Killer rents are a problem these days, good to see you've trimmed the fat.
Thanks for the update. Looking good.

Nice to see you again lol, this place seems alot better for you, less to pay out & less space to collect & store stuff that you wouldn't used that often.
The difference between a hoarder and a collector is that the collector knows what he's got😂
Good luck with the new workshop it looks nice and cosy.

Nice to see you back. Still have the teeshirt with the car.
How about a Morris Minor Woodie with a Rover SD1 V8?
Sometimes i think slimming down on the workspace is the way to go, But same issue. i have too much stuff to move!
Awesome as Always....
Nice to have you back Matt! 👍Missed not seeing your content but as you say you've had bigger priorities & family to look after.

Between the office and the camper, plenty of room = more tuning goodies.

Missed your ongoing projects, nice to see that apart from being creative you have your priorities straight, food on the table, family comes first. Beside being a first rate dad in the new workshop everything is at hand and good luck with the upgrade in skill sets.
All the best in the new year Urch!
Good luck in the new unit. Interested to see how the motorcycle locking system works out, will be a good seller if you can fit it in a standard garage

Its here don't panic.
Good luck with your new space. Those old filing cabinets are a great idea. I think they'd look really good if you gave them a blow over in some colour.
There’s probably some pea green kicking about. 😂
Respect. ❤
I’ve missed a number of episodes. Too bad you seem to have gotten ridden of that really nice mill you got working several years ago. It’s a nice unit.
Nice one, makes sense. Its all about downsizing. One project at a time. Wanna buy some half finished choppers? Joking.
Haha, I'm good thanks. Get em done!
Life moves on!
Good luck with the future.
Thanks for the update mate. Waffling isn't a bad thing sometimes 😂
Best of luck there Matt, hope it’s good to you.
Hey!!! He lives!! Good to see you back loading content.😄
Look after yourself and the family, most important.
Hi Matt I admire your ability to clear what you don’t need. I’m a terrible hoarder
Think you should do well with the electrickery. I know a couple of sparkies and they are minted! 💪💪💪
Best of luck to you mate.
That regs book is a total PITA, the new space looks great, good luck
Indeed it is. Cheers
The place looks great.....I dare to say better than the last two.
GOOD LUCK TO YOU
All the best Matt, rationalising your work space is like rationalising your brain in a way so all good mate. Live long and prosper buddy! 🖖
Cheers Phil
It’s great to see a video from you again.
Shop’s looking good 👍
It's great to have you back, Matt.
great to see you back
I m happy,, you r fine😊
Once you get you electrical quals all done you you need to create a parallel channel URCHSPARK
Haha, I like it!
Always good to have an extra trade to make a few quid 👍
Glad to see that you still have the Revolution 2500
The only welder I need!
it is very true .. the bigger your space , the more crap you accumulate .. and you still end up with not enough room to actually do any work
Nice to have you back, 🎉
One of my good mates is a spark he makes a decent living from it here in the Northamptonshire
Much more than I do with my owns joinery shop you can do everything for a van
G'day Matt, I like the shed but where's the 100E front that you had on the wall? That was your trade mark front piece, that will be mist, I hope you didn't get rid of it...😐
New shop looks great! You still got the transit ramp truck?
Best of luck Matt!
👍👍😎👍👍 - Great to see you're doing well!
You could make lots of stuff to market, like ZTFab does.
What about the milling machine Matt? You seemed to use that a lot
I didn't use it much really.
Gotta good buddy over in London.
Going to see him soon, and like to come see ya
You might know my mate Des Sturdee
a smaller work area keeps one disciplined.
gret update and good luck with the new workshop/
So good to see you back!
Cheers
Nice to see you back have you thought about trying to do some collaborations with other You-tubers other sites I watch have done this and when they have I have ended up subscribing to them. maybe making roll cages for some race teams who are on the Tube.

Hmmmmmmmmmm. No
The economy and inflation worldwide is absolute CRAP !!!!
We have a potato to blame for it all over here but it won't be a fast rebound even after he is gone. Glad to see your able to make things work out for you and your family. 👍
I saw your 100e at Axminster show very nice job , only saw your deck chairs and not you !
Catch you next time. Cheers
Glad you’re back mate!!! How did you get on with the sprinter? Forget racing just make the mini road legal it would be a monster!!
Cheers, would be fun for sure! Sprinter has been sold on.
There must be a ton of work doing solar installations and maintenance, a good time to be doing it. But since when has the UK had enough sun to charge an AA battery?
Haha yes this is true but the industry does seem to be booming. We shall see! Cheers
