    Pan grilled...
This works with chicken, shrimp or fish.
    Mix
    25% soy sauce
    25% Worcestershire sauce
    50% melted butter or margarine
    Dip fish into mixture.
Place fish into hot pan or on hot griddle.
    Sprinkle Greek seasoning onto fish.
Add more of the mixture to fish when you turn it and add more Greek seasoning after turning.
    Cook till done.
Serve with cocktail, Tarter sauce or drawn butter.
    Enjoy.

slow and low smoke with cherry wood is what i like to do......... or make 1 1/2" thick medallions make small slit in side and place a jalapeno slices in there and maybe a little mint, than low grill heat around 200 to 225 and baste with a garlic lemon butter often till tender, than serve with cinnamon grits and fried cast iron skillet corn

I love gar nuggets and also think they are comparable to alligator. I fry them up with a little salt and pepper until they are dark crispy, and golden on the outside.

Honestly, Mullet, The best way I've ever had gar is to batter it and have it the same way you eat catfish. Gar meat is really clean. They are not the garbage fish that people make them out to be. Cajun pan fried or deep fried with corn meal is what I would recommend. Also, Gar is pared with mustard greens and cornbread. Thank you for showing the world that there is more than beef chicken and pork. I love your content. Keep up the awesome work.

When you get a big gar, take a slab of back strap and smoke it. You can eat it like that, but what I have seen Southern people do is to flake up the smoked meat and make them into gar balls. Watch " Swamp People" they have a great recipe for it.

Good batter recipe. Season your fish. Combine 1 cup of rice flower to 1/2 cup of ice cold club soda. Save dry rice flower for double dredge. Heres the order fish in dry rice flower then into the seasoned club soda/rice mixture then into oil thats at 350 degrees. Brown then take off.

I like to treat the gar like I do carp. Smoke them until they fall off the main bones and then cut into chunks and can them up with some white wine, salt, thai chili, some parsley, and tarragon. 15lbs pressure for an hour and once they cool down, hide them for at least 3 months before opening one. Better after 6 months cure. Even the fine bones of the carp are edible, super soft. Make into a fish salad for sandwiches like you would tuna. Never touch the tuna ever again!
