David’s single foot blasts are so metronomically linear. When blasting, I use two feet because I tend to drop in and out of time when blasting on the one foot. My fast double bass is super solid but, for me, the perfect time that my feet keep in unison doesn’t translate to a single foot blast (i.e.) my feet can’t seem to do solo what they achieve with ease together when each foot is playing in between the other’s notes.
Edit : Must practice that more.

David’s footwork is sublime. I also love his ride technique when playing fast patterns. He doesn’t merely finger blast like most extreme drummers. He made the technicality of that drum track look effortless.

This is fucking incredible, makes me so happy when David uploads 👌👑 Does anyone know what was written/recorded first out of Cognizance and Obscura? Production was around the same time but then again David can probably write and record two records with ease. Just like riding a bike 😂
cognizance was in late October, obscura in December. but some of the material was written way before that, so all in all I had enough time to prepare well for both recordings
