Another Beautiful sketchbook!! Would you ever consider making your sketchbook (not the original obviously) into a sellable book of some kind? I don’t have a full idea of what I mean 🤷🏽♀️😀 but I could absolutely see your artwork as a small collection of some sort. For collectors or inspiration for encouraging other artists to make more art, with quotes or artists stories along with your sketches. Maybe 🤔 something for manager/husband to think about 😀😀
That is actually a dream of mine to have some of my sketchbooks made into sellable books. Hopefully one day! I’ll let the manager 😉 know about the request! And thank you!!
You’re so fortunate that you have peace and quiet all around you while you paint and create. You don’t have kids, you don’t have noisy neighbors, it’s always so peaceful where you are.
Lovely sketches. I like the idea a working from a distance first and then painting in some detail. I so envy you being able to sit on the ground.. I can't get back up these days. I love your style, your hat and beautiful scarf. Thank you for your sharing. Love from Aotearoa , New Zealand.xxx
Thank you Sandi- I always learn a lot from you-have you ever considered writing a book? Put some cool bird tutorials and still life in- Can you draw a sunflower next? Loving this flower idea
Just sat down for some relaxing paint playing and your video is in my feed 😆😆😆 Happy Friday! Thank you for the video and for answering questions. Have a good weekend.
I LOVE those sketchbook tours. Who knew a sore toe could be so painterly!! My favorite is the camper you can open up to see what's inside ... it's wonderful. Nice to see you enjoying the outside. I think you can deduct the irises on your taxes now that they're part of the work!! I live in what's called the 'high desert' and we've been avoiding going outside. I think I could fry some eggs on our patio. Maybe hashbrowns too! Thanks Sandi. x
This video was so relaxing to watch. Your flower studies are amazing ! I watched this video a few times the past week, but always forgot to leave a comment :( now going to watch your latest :) Have a nice weekend & week !
Sandi, thanks for the flip through and for showing us the irises :-) they’re beautiful... just wanted to jump on and tell you that showing us your watercolors and how your style evolved in your art journey vid a while ago is helping me SO much! I am binge watching your vlogs because they’re fun joyous freeing and also because they teach me so much about evolving as artists and that we hold wonder inside of us we’ll never know about if we don’t keep exploring!! Thank you deeply and from the bottom of my heart, keep doing what you’re doing 💗🙏🏼💗 a bit long winded, but U get the gist 😉
😭 thank you so much! It feels vulnerable sometimes to show the work I don’t love but I do it for this reason - to show what it looks like to grow and be an artist (which ALWAYS includes bad work). Thank you for writing!!!
How inspiring is your sketchbook Sandi! I have made several attempts with my sketchbook I really am going to try again after this inspiring video from you beautiful artwork beautiful irises! Love and light 🌺
Love your irises and the fact that you are inspired from nature around you. Your vlogs are so helpful, informative and well done. Can you recommend a preferred sketchbook to use for watercolor versus gouache? Thank you for inspiring so many to have fun and enjoy the process.
I was just out in my studio trying to get it right side up again. Did I tell you it was invaded by racoons? And the AC is broken. Now let me watch your blog, so I can be inspired to get back at it!
Well, they were nesting in the ceiling. I had all their nests pulled out. Before I could block them out they found their nests gone and threw a temper tantrum. What a mess!
Thank goodness we don't have racoons in New Zealand! We do have possums though and they can be troublesome...good luck keeping them out...and keep being inspired by Sandi. I am.
Are we not going to comment on how at 1:20 she stands up from sitting on ground without a single grunt, groan, or bone popping/cracking sound? I think we need to take a moment and appreciate that.

Yes, a collection as a "coffee table book" would be so inspiring!
@@sandihester i totally agree, a self published book with your sketchbook drawings is a must.

It is a quiet place and we enjoy it greatly!
That's great idea about sitting further back so you don't start focusing on the details too soon. I'm going to try that. Great video
Hope it works for you!!
Thanks Sandi, for letting us look over your shoulder while you worked. It's soothing to watch you paint along with the nice music!

Thank you Wendy!
Great tip about squinting. It was a question I didn't even know I needed answered. Will try it out this weekend.
Oh good!! It takes some practice to remember and to get in the habit but it’s a huge help
Your sketchbooks have absolutely inspired me to keep one. Mine isn't nearly as neat. But it's a great place to practice.
I’m not in love with that one of mine either - we can all feel like that about our work - so just get in there and make art and have fun!
Awesome video and beautiful painting! Thanks for this, we love supporting fellow art channels! Best of luck in 2021, love from Canada!
Thank you!!!
Your welcome, keep creating!!

Ohhhhhh my!!
Ladies, racoons in your studio would make a fantastic picture!
Well, they were nesting in the ceiling. I had all their nests pulled out. Before I could block them out they found their nests gone and threw a temper tantrum. What a mess!
That's amazing and I bet kind of awful. I didn't know they did that!

Love the video
Thank you 🤗
Amazing!
Thank you!!
I wish I could get the shapes first instead of getting lost in details. Love your composition.
Thank you! Just keep trying! Sometimes it just takes practice
I love Cooper! What breed is he?
Thank you! He's a Korthals Griffon

That’s called editing 😂😂 I think I almost fell over when I got up 😂
Fun video.! But why are you sitting so far from your subject?
Sandie said in the beginning its to get a looser painting
@@sueallen952 okay, i missed that. Great idea!
