You sir, are a brilliant artist and musician. When you make a fellow musician feel like they’re falling in love with music again for the first time….that’s how you know you’re a master at your craft.
Knowing there are people in the world that can produce art like this, so spontaneously and in the moment and yet so lush and so pleasing to the ear and the spirit makes me weep and I don't know exactly why.
Whoa. Think our man here has really magically made a new genre of music! The last song, 'Joy and Sorrow' made me think of walking between raindrops... Trace, I'm really pretty stunned by you and what you can make those instruments do! Thank you Sir!
I've just learned a few chords in my life...not really a guitar player....but in my wildest dreams I did not even know that what this guy would be possible. Just amazing.
Trace, you've given every beginner a view of what they may be able to do with their guitar system that is unique and challenging. I'm a classical guitarist that has had a guitar school, in the past. You make me want to do it again. Thanks from a fellow musician.
Mr Bundy is amy favorite finglestyle guitarist. I had the honor of meeting him at one of his concerts, and he is really friendly and approachable. All the best! Keep up the good work!
***** maybe the word "hurt" is where you catch your hang up on. yeah, hurt is probably a poor choice of words, but it's really fucking difficult to do finger tapping that much and that quickly on an acoustic and have it be audible. The reason is because the strings are so thick.
+George Carlin First of all, I want to ask you what exact part you mean he ''stole'' from you? Did you mean Pachelbel's Canon? Surely not! I mean, surely, surely not... Or was it the actual technique of tapping and hammering? - Because I'm pretty sure mankind has had an innate need to tap and hammer on things since oh I don't know, the Stone Age! In fact, I'm sure it was actually dabbled in during the very creation of the guitar, let alone any stringed instrument, I mean that's conceivable right? Perhaps it was the relatively simple chord progression and arpeggiaic melody that is confined by the limits of diatonic notation notwithstanding the a humans possibility to audibly perceive pitch, effectively rendering only so many variations of 12 notes/tones available?* - Unless you're like a superhuman Demigod? Oh Please! Show us your Minor Dominance and make us all laugh and tell me he stole the idea of playing G major and D minor in contrasting concert from you?! Help me out I'm struggling here!... Wait, wait... was it playing TWO GUITARS on stage at the same time?... Maybe it was using a delay pedal on a guitar? MAYBE you invented the delay pedal? Conceptualized syncopated rhythms? Pioneered in the form of notation of Time Signatures? DID YOU INVENT SOUND? No really, I really need to know WHAT exactly you THINK he stole from you?... Secondly, where is your UA-cam video of you performing in front of a crowd? Where is your undeniable actual evidence of this abhorrent atrocity you seem to flippantly accuse of? I checked your page... No Content. I think you may potentially be just a tiny bit lacking on proof there buddy. Might I remind everyone that even Picasso said: ''Good Artist's copy - Great Artist's Steal'' Thirdly, I'm stealing the term Satan Clause for use in my own vocabulary when it's suitable because well, it is quite the fun little quip isn't it? Thanks for that! I also liked that you said ''...but it's a hurts good.'' This shows that, even as a Demigod, you are willing to share and THAT is the kind of virtue the world needs more of!... It's why we love Thor and hate Loki! In retrospect, the world also needs more Artists like this one, more-over the world needs to educate itself on WHY it needs them and I would like to compliment and congratulate Trace on exploring the not-so-commonly explored (and delivered) facets of music and incalculable possibilities* we can find with a little ingenuity and effort. He, and other like contemporaries, remind us that all is not about ''The Drop'' and inspire other creatives to constantly evolve and search out new and exiting avenues... until we never find that ever elusive ''Masterpiece.''
We're a year late to the "it's hard to finger-tap on acoustic" party, but yeah, that guitar has a thingy coming from the body..oh, it's a cable. Cmon, SMALL strings, easy to tap...it's a nice effort but he didn't do anything amazing. Simple song, simple technique. (yes I can do all that & it's not high level playing)
All of those songs are absolutely fantastic but your Joy and Sorrow is so amazing. I just love it and would love to hear more of your music. Pls give me more! Especially the stuff you created. Beautiful!
Joy and sorrow, the best song I’ve ever heard! I cried... So deep, it give freedom to my darkness and must of all it touch my soul and my heart! Love 🥰
I had the pleasure of seeing Trace love at a little local venue in northeast Arkansas. There were probably 40-50 people there. He was incredible. Played that place like it was packed with 50,000. So gracious. Great guy and musician.
Crazy because i actually lost my cousin who was an amazing musician to cancer a few years ago. His attitude was much the same as Bundy's cousin's. Has me in tears. Thankyou Trace
Music doesn't have to happen on an elaborately constructed indoor or outdoor stage, be in the middle of "tour" or have all of this money spent trying to bring it to the masses. But the one thing it does have to do is make an impact no matter where it IS made! I have heard, seen and felt many types of music made and appreciate each and every one of them for what they are! This performance, stirred something within in my innermost being. I found myself on the edge of my seat as if at the edge of a precipice and other moments, tears escaped my eyes without my consent and fell from my lashes and rolled down my cheeks! Music is in my soul, it is a gift I have, that was bestowed from God! Although I yearn to play many instruments, has learning to play took the bench. However, my voice, I can take with me anywhere! It passes baggage claims, can go on subways and airplanes and any other mode of transportation. So suffice it to say, it's my instrument and I have it with me wherever I go. I felt this last piece of beauty for so many reason but first and foremost is because I have watched sorrow and joy war against one another in the physical and at the same time within myself, for all the same reasons this song was written. In my Fathers last moment of a 16 day fight I was called upon to use my instrument to bring forth comfort and offer a release from this world as the oldest child and the chosen one by God to calm his spirit so Mom could hear his last breath. So thank you for the gift of amazing talent you shared. It has helped me heal just a bit more, as in just a few days will be 7 years since his departure....
I firstly knew him after watched his canon arrangement covered by sungha jung in few years ago. And then i watched him performed this with sungha jung after couple years.
less than 30 seconds in to him playing and its abundantly clear Mr.Bundy is a guitar grand master in the same league as Santana or any other great you care to mention. enthralling thank you.
Commodore Amiga 1000 - "Faery tale" RPG - early teens preserverance and obsession - magic ... 30 years ago , played that game to such level of fanaticism that I recogized that 1st song instantly.
Sorry guys, but I cannot understand 288 dislikes. That is insane. Either you do not have any idea of what great music is or you guys must be deaf. Bach is one of the greatest composers of all time and for sure he would have loved to watch this arrangement and interpreation of his song. Great job Trace. What you are doing here needs a lot of practice, practice, practice. God bless you brother. Love it!
I've used this as my boxing workout song for years. The rhythm is perfect for s slow intro, then the riff for speedbag style, then a slow down, and repeats... it's the best. I love your music!
Some say Cannon is a deity in heaven which oversees God's great love, and showers it down on people as God sees fit and can take The form of many Sweet Blessings... Maybe, or rather 🤔 it can be whatever you believe it can be.. The original Canon in D Major is such a well-loved classical piece of music appreciated by thousands millions of people but I will say Trace Bundy rendition of it "Knock me off my feet" the first time I heard it 3 years ago.⭐⭐⭐⭐ The guys musical skill timing and expertise his style of playing is extremely unique. I'm always looking for more of his playing because it always "Inspires me to better things" Definitely
Did anyone even notice that he played at different speeds with his hands in Overtime? he made it seem so effortless and unobvious that I almost didn't notice!
When one musician makes another musician smile, he has done something truly wonderful! I applaud you Trace!
I ditto that, Lady Bev.Anne.

agree with your opinian
I really think this is one of, if not the best music ted talk. that last song he played was absolutely amazing.
Beautiful. Truly ineffable
Knowing there are people in the world that can produce art like this, so spontaneously and in the moment and yet so lush and so pleasing to the ear and the spirit makes me weep and I don't know exactly why.
When you get goose bumps and then you are suddenly filled with a peaceful joy, you lean back and close your eyes and wish it would not end ..
Whoa.
Think our man here has really magically made a new genre of music!
The last song, 'Joy and Sorrow' made me think of walking between raindrops...
Trace, I'm really pretty stunned by you and what you can make those instruments do!

It's amazing how he make the audience feel like it's his pleasure play for them. He's always thankful. Unbelievable.
Humility is a rare thing among musicians and artists. He is a (mostly) self taught guitarist, and a master artist at playing counterpoint.
Straight out of _How to Win Friends and Influence People_ by Dale Carnegie
Tommy Emmanuel has the same sort of love for his fans and audience
I could listen to this man forever
I've just learned a few chords in my life...not really a guitar player....but in my wildest dreams I did not even know that what this guy would be possible. Just amazing.
Few videos on YT have mesmerized me as much as this one.
The “joy and sorrow” one is mind blowing...so are the others...wow!
Trace, you've given every beginner a view of what they may be able to do with their guitar system that is unique and challenging. I'm a classical guitarist that has had a guitar school, in the past. You make me want to do it again. Thanks from a fellow musician.

You made notes come to fullest of life force with Inner peace.
That was unbelievable! What a talent! Exceptional, mind blowing.
My fingers hurt watching this. Playing an acoustic up on the fretboard like that is no easy task. Very impressive stuff.
***** you're wrong. I play guitar. I do know what I'm doing. There's a reason most people don't play acoustic this way. It's really difficult.
***** maybe the word "hurt" is where you catch your hang up on. yeah, hurt is probably a poor choice of words, but it's really fucking difficult to do finger tapping that much and that quickly on an acoustic and have it be audible. The reason is because the strings are so thick.

battyroy666 is a pro!
"Overtime" sent shivers down my spine. Truly masterful.
feels like the flow of sound river...and heartbeats...
This is spiritual
Probably one of the best guitarists alive.
All of those songs are absolutely fantastic but your Joy and Sorrow is so amazing. I just love it and would love to hear more of your music. Pls give me more! Especially the stuff you created. Beautiful!
A true artist. And I will go to bed with a smile. You are hearttouching! Thx
Two of my favorite things: Pachelbel's canon and classical guitar. Goose bumps.
damn...he just keeps getting better...
Great player, very original! And his introduction to Joy and Sorrow totally resonates with me, as does the tune itself!
Joy and sorrow, the best song I’ve ever heard! I cried... So deep, it give freedom to my darkness and must of all it touch my soul and my heart! Love 🥰
All of this was beautiful, but the last one, wow, really got me. Smart idea. It made me cry.
beautiful, instruments are so alive in his hands.
I am just so floored. I like the sound of acoustic guitar, but this is just so different, so fresh!
I just learnedCanon, the first song, as a 13 year old and can’t wait to show it off at our Christmas concert next week!!!!! I’m so excited!!!
Loved the arrangement of Pachelbel, reminds me of the John Bulter Trio song 'Oceans', one of my all time favourites
Yep both brilliant artist.
So beautiful to watch and listen to such incredible talent!
One of my favorite compositions, done magically.

Few people in life are gifted and Mr Bundy is one of them, besides being a talented guitarist. Bravo!
its the first time i enjoy the instrumental music, goosebumpss takeover.
This sounds amazing.... I can listen to this the whole day...
I could listen to this type of music all day
this was phenomenon. First time ever i am hearing something beautiful like this..
This guy is stunning. Had no idea he was around. Amazing!
Incredible. Now I know I can't explode from emotional exasperation. So beautiful this music.
One of the best videos I have ever seen on the internet
He's a Monster! Truly awsome.
Song 2 “overtime” start: @5:56
Song 3 “joy and sorrow” starts: 13:30
This guy speaks a language that I can't speak, but it is a language that I can understand.
stunning is an understatement!!
Whoa...this is just something very special. Thank you, Trace Bundy.
I firstly knew him after watched his canon arrangement covered by sungha jung in few years ago. And then i watched him performed this with sungha jung after couple years.

One of the best performances on TED
You made me think I was in a castle with "Chamber Music" going on, at the start. Then you rocked the cradle of humanity!
I'm without words- Thanks
Trace Bundy is so under appreciated
Magnifique interprétation de ce morceau que j’adore : Thank you so much ❤
Thank you for enlightening my evening ! You are truly magical ! Keep up with the joy , your lucky to have found joy !
TED takes our minds to somewhere.
What an amazing musician he is. Wow!
Brought tears to my eyes, almost like a religious experience.
yeah, except it was real o ;-)
Second piece reminds me of "Classical Jazz". Congratulations to him. I would love to experience him live!
I just got to play with him with my university symphony, blew us away to hear him do this live then switch it up and play Vivaldi and Guns'n'Roses.
Wow I am just a 50+ year beginner guitar player !!! AMAZING !!!! Thank you thank you thank you !!!!
OMG you are inspiring , incredible talent....

The joy and sorrow part... it really do speak ...
What a creative mind. Fantastic.
I've used this as my boxing workout song for years. The rhythm is perfect for s slow intro, then the riff for speedbag style, then a slow down, and repeats... it's the best. I love your music!
One of the best videos I've ever seen!!!
John Entwistle was doing stuff like that with the bass guitar a long time ago. Trace is a BEAST of a musician.
John entwistie?!no sir,but john Martin was doing all that stuff in the early 70's.tis nothing new,I'm afraid..
Incredible talent! Thank you for sharing your skills! 😍
impresionante y hermoso trabajo
Some of the most beautiful music I have ever heard... 😲 Wow
Some say Cannon is a deity in heaven which oversees God's great love, and showers it down on people as God sees fit and can take
The form of many Sweet Blessings...
Maybe,
or rather 🤔 it can be whatever you believe it can be..
The original Canon in D Major is such a well-loved classical piece of music appreciated by thousands millions of people but I will say Trace Bundy rendition of it "Knock me off my feet" the first time I heard it 3 years ago.⭐⭐⭐⭐
The guys musical skill timing and expertise his style of playing is extremely unique. I'm always looking for more of his playing because it always "Inspires me to better things" Definitely
The human soul never ceases to amaze. God's best creation.
In Parts Overtime reminds me so much of Brian May.
The Echoing to produce a complex song with just one guitar.
Amazing!
What a gift. Praise be no doubt
"Talent" is the word, nobody gave it to him...
Very good, muito bom.🇧🇷
Wow! The highest level of guitar playing !! Love it!!
wow. just great. i dont play the guitar...so i have no idea of the skill. but to hear this...this is auditory art.

Brilliant, got some real Mike Oldfiled vibes. The clarity and crispness of his notes was amazing.
Quite Stanley Jordan style too
And very influenced by Michald Hedges
This is so beautiful. Give him a thumbs up.
I LOVE THIS! THIS GUY PLAYS PACHELBELS CANON ON THE GUITAR AND IT IS EXQUISITE.!!!
It is awesome. Space guitar sounds!
Excellent Way of Communicating a unique style of music...

The Number 1 of Guitar Master ! The Original Master !

Tearful. Truly beautiful.
I dont think many people realize at times hes playing 3 different parts all at the same time: bass, rhythm, and lead.
Clear as a bell! Sweet playing Trace!
Did anyone even notice that he played at different speeds with his hands in Overtime? he made it seem so effortless and unobvious that I almost didn't notice!
Amazing skills! Great performance!
