      You need to admit that when a manga, comic or videogame touch on historical events or real life elements, if it do it well can inspire someone to research and learn. And in this case even if Naidan only appear for a Short amount of time his impact was great.

    We all share the same wrestling roots in every culture. I find that to be infinitely interesting...
    Be it native american, greek, old british, or mongolian; we all wrestle in a similar manner. I figure it all got started somewhere in eurasia...

      Because wrestling is the natural way humans physically compete for domination,think about it,if you where in a cave with your thrive but you wanted to show physical domination you would wrestle a man down,not hit him because hurting him is a bad idea,you still need the hypothetical cave dude

    This sport is quite responsible for the number of Mongolian sumo wrestlers that have taken over the traditional Japanese sport.

      Judo has some similar ways to Mongolian Wrestling, yes, but Judo did not come from Mongolia.
      Karate came from China, though, the Japanese themselves admitted this.

      Wasn't ju jitsu a technique invented for women to defend themselves from rapiests???? And judo is way inferior to any kind of wrestling, since most of judo grabs rely on kimano, witch nobody wear outside of the dojo

      @@staskilinkaridis6184 No, it was not. Jūdō and Jūjutsu is way superior to any kind of wrestling, because of it's joint locks and chokes; people usually wear clothes, enhancing your grappling by grabbing them is not a bad idea.

"...Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region or Nei Mongol Autonomous Region (NMAR), is one of the autonomous regions of the People's Republic of China, located in the north of the country.       InnerMongol is an just empty name. During the Xinhai rebellion 1911s, Most of Manchu, InnerMongol people killed by han chinese.

      They just belong to different Mongolic tribes. In Outer Mongolia there are mainly the Khalkha, in Inner Mongolia mainly the Khorchin, and in Russia (Siberia) mainly the Buryats. Different tribes have slightly different cultures

      @@karendalsadik7119 They, South Mongol wrestlers have real Mongolian wrestlers outfit. We changed the outfit, probably, in 17-th century. South Mongols have many authentic Mongolian culture. Hope Chinese won't suppress all of them.

    I can attest to Mongolian boys having wishes of them being a wrestler,
    When my son(I'm mixed white black his mum is Mongolian)was born, and his Mongolian relatives met him for the first time, the men all grabbed his wrists and legs and said something in Mongolian, I asked my wife what that was about and they all apparently said"he's going to be a good wrestler"

      The Hulinbuir school of Bökh has strikes, but they are prohibited in competitions, except low kicks.

    I'm looking for information about Daur Bokh traditions and clothing for a thing I'm doing and I would like to find some more information about the clothing traditions and just general information surrounding the daur people in relation to bokh any leads would help.

    It's interesting to see how similar all styles of wrestling are while also being different. Like Bökh, Schwingen (Swiss wrestling) and Okinawan wrestling gor exemple kinda "look" the same but yoj can see different rules (in Schwingen the shoulders have to touch the ground, ways of grappling, and "agressivity" (Schwingen looks more brutal). Very cool !

    This is China. It's not Mongolia, these are not Mongolian wrestling outfits which are simple red and blue (Mongolia's colours). These men will have Chinese passports, not Mongolians passports. Inner Mongolia is not Mongolia, it's part of China.

      Tim Fisher Photography im chinese but born in inner mongolia, but most of my mongo friends r proud to be PRC.. each yrs,around four thousands of outlet mongolian fled to china becuz they cant make a living there n there govt r doing nothing to improve it , also our govt gives them health care ,social n education welfare even more than us Han chinese..plus , through out the chinese history , china was never a single nation country n society(such as inida , turkey ,russia etc) , we r a chinese culture multination country, for me , outlet mongolia can do whatever they want , but if they wanna join us , i will see them as my brother too
