Soo the "centers for exams" that you choose will be used for the semester exams Quizzes and End-term examination for the semester. You need to notify early if you want to change the centre.

They allow you to enroll in the course if you are eligible for JEE advance in last 2 years. So if you are applying for 2024 BS course you should be eligible for jee advance in year 2024 and 2023.

You can register for september term. Application will open in July-August or may be early in June. If you want to get into may term then deadline is extended till 28 May, tomorrow.

1. For May batch, last date of applicaition form is 26 May. 2. Yes it will reopen for september term on 17 june to 15 sept. 3. As its a online course there is some time relaxation. if you decide to drop out after completing 3rd year you will get BSc degree. It means in 3rd year you will be taught at BSc degree level and if you failed to clear 3rd year you have 1-3 yrs time to clear it. BS degree, means 4th year. if you failed to clear 4th year you can complete it in 2-3 years. Means you can reattempt that year for 2-3 years. Whole duration is 4-8 years, means that the course is of 4 year but if you get failed in one year you can reattempt for 4-8 years. Its just like a year back in colleges. Nothing to worry about.

As you are a regular candidate who is not applying on the basis of JEE Mains qualification. You have to give a qualifier exam to get into the course. After qualifying the exam, you will have to register for the courses and pay the fees for the 1st year. And you're done. You are into IIT Madras BS Degree.
For 4 years you have to pay 3.15 lakh to 3.75 lakh depending upon your subject. Once you are enrolled in the course they will provide assignments and exams. Exam will be conducted at your home or your nearest CBT exam conducting body.

They will ask the proof as well in the same form. You have to submit your admit card/receipt/result of jee mains or advance. Just fill in the details and next steps will be unlocked.
congo... u have lost self-confidence to manage both the degrees at a time even before realising the situations... the answer for ur question - yeah u can drop out in diploma level itself (without paying the full fee) but if u have an idea about giving a small break and then continuing from where u left, then they will remind u to pay the fees for those breaks too... every candidates who registered to bs in ds in iitm have time period of 4 to 8 years in which any where else they can finish the bs degree... so choose wiself and be self-confident 🙂
Yeah you can get direct admission. Last date of application for may term is 28 May. If you missed this, you can fill another application in July-August for september term.
1st year fees is 32000 and if you are from sc/st or you want to claim financial aid, you can get scholarships. For 4 years you have to pay 3.15 lakh to 3.75 lakh depending upon your subject.
@Comm645 This BS Degree is better than Btech degree from any other college except IIT. Even in IIT, lower branches will not give you as much benefit as this BS degree gives. Teachers also believe CSE in IIT is outdated and they prefer Data science over it so if you are already in IIT offline, You can do it solely. But if you really want to learn something and interested in data science, Then go for it. Offline will always help in building personality althiugh in online you will have the same feeling as offline, friends, group s, fests, projects and all. People also argue that if BS degree is better than Btech, why 14 lakh students applying for it why dont IIT close this degree and make BS offline. So the answer for this is - People are aware of btech degree for so many years and consider it as a only way for getting job for science students. IIT can't close Btech immedicately because all conducting bodies and coaching classes will shut down making a whole mess and loss all over india. IIT can't close this Btech degree and they don't have enough space in their campus and they really want education system to change, thats why they launched BS degree online.

Its because they will take semester/terms quiz, exams offline. Its just like you selected cities for JEE Mains exams. Select your nearest cities that you are comfortable to visit for quiz and exams. Each term has 2 quiz and 1 term exam. Each term is of 4 months. There are total 3 terms in a year.

@@chandrabolibanerjee2134 Dont worry you dont have to give qualifier exam. Actually 1st month syllabus is same for jee based and regular entry students. Regular entry students will go through that 1st month syllabus to qualify and get admissions in this course but JEE main students will study that syllabus for knowledge. We already got admission. Its not like if you get low marks your JEE Based admission will be rejected.

Now you have to wait for their next mail about registering the course. Once you get that mail, you have to register for the course and pay the first year fee. Congrats, You are now into the IIT Madras BS Degree. Just chill and wait for their mails.

I qualified for JEE Advance this year and I even got mail to apply for this programme through direct admission. But why is the application form asking me to fill the preferences for exam city??

They will ask the proof as well in the same form. You have to submit your admit card/receipt/result of jee mains or advance. Just fill in the details and next steps will be unlocked.

congo... u have lost self-confidence to manage both the degrees at a time even before realising the situations...
the answer for ur question - yeah u can drop out in diploma level itself (without paying the full fee) but if u have an idea about giving a small break and then continuing from where u left, then they will remind u to pay the fees for those breaks too... every candidates who registered to bs in ds in iitm have time period of 4 to 8 years in which any where else they can finish the bs degree... so choose wiself and be self-confident 🙂

Yeah you can get direct admission. Last date of application for may term is 28 May. If you missed this, you can fill another application in July-August for september term.

1st year fees is 32000 and if you are from sc/st or you want to claim financial aid, you can get scholarships.
For 4 years you have to pay 3.15 lakh to 3.75 lakh depending upon your subject.
@Comm645 This BS Degree is better than Btech degree from any other college except IIT.
Even in IIT, lower branches will not give you as much benefit as this BS degree gives. Teachers also believe CSE in IIT is outdated and they prefer Data science over it so if you are already in IIT offline, You can do it solely. But if you really want to learn something and interested in data science, Then go for it.
Offline will always help in building personality althiugh in online you will have the same feeling as offline, friends, group
s, fests, projects and all.
People also argue that if BS degree is better than Btech, why 14 lakh students applying for it why dont IIT close this degree and make BS offline.
So the answer for this is -
People are aware of btech degree for so many years and consider it as a only way for getting job for science students.
IIT can't close Btech immedicately because all conducting bodies and coaching classes will shut down making a whole mess and loss all over india.
IIT can't close this Btech degree and they don't have enough space in their campus and they really want education system to change, thats why they launched BS degree online.

Its because they will take semester/terms quiz, exams offline. Its just like you selected cities for JEE Mains exams. Select your nearest cities that you are comfortable to visit for quiz and exams. Each term has 2 quiz and 1 term exam. Each term is of 4 months. There are total 3 terms in a year.

Yeah i have Also cleared my jee mains last Yr and eligible for jee advance but still they gave me that I have to study 4 subject for qualifier and even I have submitted my application for jee based entry I uploaded my jee mains report card
@@chandrabolibanerjee2134 Dont worry you dont have to give qualifier exam. Actually 1st month syllabus is same for jee based and regular entry students. Regular entry students will go through that 1st month syllabus to qualify and get admissions in this course but JEE main students will study that syllabus for knowledge. We already got admission. Its not like if you get low marks your JEE Based admission will be rejected.

I am aware of the fee waiver if family income is less than a certain amount. But is there any particular exam which can be given to avail scholarship since the family income and caste criteria is not applicable to me??

@@saatwikkumaryadav7284 They say that your details are verified and you can do this degree. They provided you some video links which you can see if you want. Its completely optional.
Now you have to wait for their next mail about registering the course. Once you get that mail, you have to register for the course and pay the first year fee. After that they will send you your college email and id card to log into the dashboard. They will provide you the details about the starting date of course and all.
Congrats, You are now into the IIT Madras BS Degree.
Just chill and wait for their mails.
