A sweet find for sure!!! Lots of great material....i especially remember the first FTDs that came out wirh great sound and outtakes......love the show!!..thanks!!! 😉🇨🇦
Thanks!! I seem to have some kind of story or memory from each one. I love the FTD label. We are lucky to have it. Some better attention to detail would be nice, but I’m very thankful for it.
Thanks Paul! It was super exciting seeing those FTD’s in the wild. Even though I already had all of them I had to pick them up. I was surprised to find a few CD’s I had never seen before. Exciting find.
Hi mate another great video and a great haul of goodies👍👍loving your channel here in Brisbane keep em coming and if I'm ever in Vegas the beers on me🍺🍺⚡⚡⚡
What a great day of Elvis discoveries!! Some awesome CD’s there especially that Essential 4 and the FTD’s. Fully agree about the How Great sessions. Superb!! Just to confirm that Joe Tunzi CD did come with a book also called America The Beautiful. Thanks for another cool video Rick!😀
Awesome Elvis haul brother. Thanks for sharing. The 2 cd sets, “Platinum, Volume 1/2” only contain 44 tracks on each set, whereas the bigger box with the four CD’s has 100 performances. I have most of your CDs, but I still have an acquired D FTD’s session set for How Great Thou Art. I would love to purchase it as we speak but right now I’m in financial distress. 😊
Thanks for that. I really don’t recall ever seeing it previously. That’s exactly why I picked it up! The time to buy is when you’ve never seen it before. Thanks for watching.
Elvis was so sick of Vegas at that time and they were pretty well over him as well. I’m sure that near the end of summer 1977 a new winter contract would have been signed. Or maybe both needed a break from each other. Who knows. Great question.
@@TheElvisWorkshop thank u , but why the Hilton hotel was sick of him , cause all the show were packed ! And did Elvis and the Parker became upset about that ?
Another thing that could be part of the issue was the Hilton wanted to move from the International showroom over to the bigger showroom being built where the convention center is now. It ended up being used for a few decades. It held around 8,000 people. So Elvis and Colonel would have renegotiated for a new rate. It may have been in the works at the time of his death. The answer to your follow up question: selling out is one thing, but Elvis’ performances weren’t what they had been in the past. He was also canceling dates and being unpredictable during the shows. He was no longer doing four week engagements. It was coming to an end at some point.
Great haul 👍🏽⚡️⚡️⚡️

I propose an 800 hotline for when I’m out shopping & find something I can call & ask if it’s worth it to purchase. I know I’m being lazy. Great haul!

Great find 👍
It’s Midnight was the only FTD I had and I gave it to our friend San. I totally forgot about it until I watched this video. Great workshop as always!

Thanks for that! I was sure it was an insert of some sort, but I couldn’t remember.

Oh, nice heads up on that! So it was better to have the full box anyway, but I’m glad to have both just to have them. Thanks for the info!
I love your items ❤ I'd like to but the How Great Thou Art FTD...but it's quite expensive 😢
I always enjoy your take on things!! Very entertaining!!
Thanks! I appreciate you watching. Great score yesterday!
Great selection Richard. Some of these I've never seen.
Yeah, same here! I consider myself to be a pretty decent collector and there were quite a few I’d never seen. Grabbed all of them. Great score.
Now that’s what I call shopping
Sweeeet!
I think that slip case Christmas album came from the collectors pop-up book edition.
Thanks for that. I really don’t recall ever seeing it previously. That’s exactly why I picked it up! The time to buy is when you’ve never seen it before.
Thanks for watching.
Great finds. I don't recall seeing any FTDs in the wild.
They’re very rare!
What a buzz to find such a collection, like somebody's deceased estate being sold off by a famiy member who wasn't interested in Elvis. Half your luck😊
Absolutely! This dealer goes for unpaid storage units and always has good stuff. I have bought a LOT of gems off her over the years.
Hi Rick , I d like to ask u a question , why the Hilton hotel didn’t renew Elvis contract in 1976 ?
I’m Elvis huge fan

Ty Rick , but it is so sad to know that
