The ELVIS movie is definitely the reason for the huge increase in the youth visiting Graceland, as well as the massive jump in music streaming with the younger audiences and other ages. Thank you Baz Luhrmann and Austin Butler
So glad to see your video, I didn't get to go to Elvis Week this year but from what I was hearing I was starting to think it might have been for the best...but hearing your experiences during the events sound so awesome and valuable. Love to know that "the old guard" is still there and having a great time. Looking forward to the next ones, the new space looks awesome too
Hi Richard!! My 1st time commenting here! I read the entire transcript after watching your channel. Very interesting, I’ve been known to be an Elvis fanatic, but do not like that term, I’d rather be called a Hard Core Fan, as I’ve heard you mention here a few times. So, I first heard an Elvis record when I was 9 years old, that was back in 1956, his Breakout year, then started buying all his records, then graduated to Albums whenever I earned the $ from my babysitting jobs. As soon as I saw what that Beautiful Man looked like, I was hooked for life!! The rest is history I could tell you more, but I would need a show of my own!! I will faithfully watch and support your channel, Elvis: A Phenomenon! The King Of Music! The one and only Charismatic Performer that in my book cannot be equaled! And a very generous, kind and humble man! God Bless you and our fellow Elvis Fans 💗💗💗🎶🕺🎚Rest In Sweet Peace Elvis
Excellent video Rick! Sorry to hear things have been pretty crazy for you! You did an awesome job sharing about Memphis and the new vinyl. Dude I feel bad about Elvis Country FTD that you got from me. That’s rough. Keep the videos coming when you have time and take care!
Great video Richard. I am jealous you had the opportunity to ask Ernst about the sound of the Memphis release. I watch you all the time. I appreciate your dedication to Elvis Legacy. Glad your back missed your videos

Enjoyed this !! Interested in your views of the new stuff, and the technical explaing. Had a laugh over"Danny boy", and the bird..! Bought on fire in Toledo myself from Henrik Knudsen.
My first comment Richard....I have always enjoyed your fast talking, upbeat and informative videos . I was born in early 50s and have always been an Elvis fan... look forward to more.
Fantastic to see you back Rick and wow look what you have done with the Workshop!! It was great to visit with you back in April and it has really grown. Great to see you and Stump had such a great time in Memphis and thanks for your views on the Memphis set. As a hardcore fan I love it so yes please support the product so we get more. Take care mate and thanks again for your kindness during my visit. Fingers crossed I can return one day!!
Hello Rick! So wonderful to see you in Memphis both at the amazing Sun recording and of course the next day at the walk up. Love love love your review as always. I spoke to Matt as well about the recordings and you were spot on again good review thank you for representing. ❤. I told Stump I would see him next time I am in Vegas. ❤
and you’re back….so lovely to see your new video Rick….you have been missed. Sounds like Elvis Week was a blast. Looking forward to seeing more upcoming videos.
Great video Richard! Good to see you back here. About the sound issues on Memphis, and the explanation of MRS. and Ernst and Robert gordon? Hmmmm, i dunno, I doubt it, but I knew they would say something like that. Why am I doubting then? 1. I did listen to the undubbed versions of Suspicious Minds and Any Day Now on the FTD 7 inch series of the Memphis 69 recordings, and both songs were perfect! i.e. not out of sync or a glitch. 2. if it was on the original tape these issues, then it could be easily fixed I guess with modern day technology and all of that. 3. I think in the case of especially Suspicious Minds we would allso hear the out of sync instruments on the original overdubbed master, it can't be hidden with overdubs. And we would also hear the glitch on Any Day now on the original overdubbed master. Just my 2 cents. For me these issues are a big let down, and I still didn't buy the LP set or CD set and I probably never will.
Yeah, that glitch on Any Day Now is really distracting. How they can continuously let things get to press with these errors is beyond me….yet, here we are.
@@TheElvisWorkshop Indeed, I guess we have to live with that. But if only Ernst & co would take more responsibility, and let a select group of people do some proof-listening before printing the actual cd's would prevend a lot of mistakes. How hard can it be?
I’ve heard that about From A Jack To A King. Could be true for both. He clearly liked the song though, as he had the singers perform it in concert and he himself did it once. So he liked it. Me, not so much.
Monster Picture Framing. 1175 American Pacific Dr A, Henderson, NV 89074. Out by the Valley Automall. They do great work. They have some framed Col. Parker autographs available in their shop. The owners knew the Colonel.
Oh and do you by chance have a picture of Lisa by herself when she was at the Hard Rock? I was lucky enough to meet her that day also but had no camera. Thanks
I don't like the organ-heavy Promised Land mix, and several of the '69 songs were much better with dubs, but I also like a lot of the new sounds and appreciate the longer fades on songs like Raised on Rock, For the Heart and If You Don't Come Back.

It's really disappointing and disheartening that SONY Music & Ernst Jorgensen couldn't do an Elvis MEMPHIS box set real justice. CD 4 should've had three bonus tracks added ("Fairytale", "Burning Love", "T-R-O-U-B-L-E") from June 10, 1975 at the Mid-South Coliseum.

Yes, I agree the Memphis set is technically a mainstream release, but I don’t suspect many casual fans will pick it up. Maybe more trendy fans that are dipping back into vinyl will grab the double LP set and be happy with it. And no Danny Boy for me! No thanks! Thanks for watching as always!
As for CD 3 on the ELVIS/MEMPHIS box set -- The only thing I would've changed about disc 3 is to place the July '73 tracks first followed by the December '73 tracks, and to get rid of that AWFUL ORGAN nonsense on "Promised Land"! There’s an Elvis autograph in the middle that was done at the time he recorded this albums. I cover it in an earlier video. Go check it out!
