@@TitaniumLegman It's alright, I had something similar during my first playthrough. When I got to the 3 Angler fish place I didn't know what to do, as I didn't realize there was a perfect path if you stay still, so I ended up going around on the wall each time. I don't regret it though, as it led to one of the coolest experiences in gaming I've had. I had no idea what happened if you died with the warp core, and I didn't want to find out, so I flew the route like a dozen times to make sure I wouldn't die. On my final trip, holding the warp core, I exited the ship to reduce my size, bidding farewell to the trusty vehicle I had grown fond of over my entire playthrough, and navigated around the anglerfish on the lowest thrust I could. I was so stressed, the weight of the universe litterally on me, and getting to the Vessel I had never felt so relieved. Bonus funny: I had an even more idiot moment than most people do with the coords in the bottom left of the screen. I had taken a screenshot, but when I inputed it nothing happened. Turns out, I had taken the screenshot from the wrong side (the coords spin around in the middle of a circular room, in my defense, how was I supposed to know?). My ship was long gone, and I was panicking. After standing there with the game paused like an idiot for a solid 5 minutes, looking up the coords online, I resumed the game, only to realize they were in the bottom left corner the entire time. Stress, then relief, then panic, and finally embarasment. Still really thankful for all of it, truly an experience I'll never forget.
I love how different playthroughs can be from each other. We've seen players take a dozen loops to realize that THE SUN was exploding, while this guy only took one look at it and was like "that's going to blow up isn't it"
After I played, I invited a few of my buddies to play. I was watching my friend Jordan and he legitimately went through like 15 loops before he lived long enough to experience the supernova. He just kept dying in spectacular fashion.
@@TitaniumLegman big same! it took me like 2 hours into the game to witness the supernova, and, after all the horrific deaths I've gone through, somehow the understanding that the Sun is blOWING UP and I can't escape death broke me lol. I love how watching someone play Outer Wilds can tell you so much about them. Some people are oblivious, others are observant. Some have good memories, some are forgetful. Some are good at connecting dots, others not so much. Its fun to watch all types play this game, but there is a special joy that comes from watching people who just get it. And there are 5 of them just like the 5 locations the moon goes to where Solanum is dead. This is my new favorite playthrough.
This is exactly why I use Outer Wilds to decide if I want to watch more playthroughs by someone. I don't want to start watching a game like Hollow Knight if it takes me 20 hours just to find out that they haven't been paying any attention to the story whatsoever. Outer Wilds has many supercuts to decrease length and a fairly early set of mysteries to judge if a player is willing to share their thoughts and theorize. Portal 2's opening is really great for telling if a player was paying any attention whatsoever while playing Portal. Deltarune Chapters 1 and 2 are also good for telling if a player remembers the previous games well based on how they comment on returning characters and themes. Inscryption has enough mystery early on that you can generally tell if someone will discuss their theories or if they can infer game mechanics easily. On the other hand there are games like Omori and Hollow Knight which take a really long time to get any level of assurance on whether a player has been paying close attention, and since they're fairly long games I need to know someone won't just look at twitch chat and youtube comment spoilers the whole time instead of experiencing the story themselves. @@RemHayden1806 I know the effect isn't in the texture but is because the wall clips with the text, but considering I think it's the only place that happens it's probably intentional
not always luck. He's just extraordinarily observant, and very persistent in doing figuring things out through experience rather than coming back later (like the 30min he spent on the core of giants deep
I've never seen anyone else mention this, but the font and color when you destroy the fabric of spacetime reminds me of that old Win95 "You may now safely shut down your computer". And thinking of "You destroyed the fabric of spacetime" as some kind of universe shut-down message tickles me to no end 😂
I don't know if it's just his insane luck but sometimes it really feels like he knows about some mechanics beforehand haha, maybe he's just really observant but the tornadoes and jellyfish part was pretty insane
I did the jellyfish without finding feldspar first because you can do something similar in subnautica and I wanted to try it. It all depends on what you’ve done before
Love the part where he perfectly deduces why the interloper can't be causing the sun to explode then he turns around and thinks the interloper destroys the sun
I can't overstate how load bearing these Outer Wilds supercuts have been to me this summer. I've also been in somewhat of a timeloop (working on my master project every day) inching towards the end of the universe (graduation) and creation of a new one (whatever the fuck comes after). I'm so sleep-deprived as I write this and have about 24 hours till my deadline. Thank you so much for these edits, they've been great comfort and company.
@@zows4 Thank you! I loved having a playthrough like this where I could just stop and think sometimes about everything I'd learned thus far. Same as my Obra Dinn playthrough.
This is one of those perfect playthroughs. The man is a genius, im absolutely flabbergasted at all the stuff he deduced through pure willpower. Every time i watch someone play this game i carry something new with me into the next time and it culminated here for me. I felt this one more than my own first time. Thank you for this
Honestly, one of the most immersive and enjoyable playthroughs I've seen. The different things he found just by watching the way things worked together was really impressive and I got to see a couple things I'd never seen before. I didn't know that there was an effect when the Interloper bloops into the sun. The crazy theories and really unique path through the game was really cool. I did the same thing with dark bramble though, went there once and only came back when there was absolutely nothing else I could find. Awesome playthrough and I'll definitely check out the DLC stuff when I actually finish it. Currently I'm too nervous/jumpy to do anything in the really scary parts!
This was a really nice, heartfelt, and observant playthrough to watch, thank you for putting it together Eelis. And thanks to TitaniumLegman as well ::) (edit: commas)
Music of the Spheres: 1:16:16 (Never EVER seen someone do this in the hundreds of playthroughs and "in-depth" analyses I've watched. Truly awesome to witness naturally.)
Have you watched Razbuten’s analysis of outer wilds. He wasn’t the biggest fan at first, but after struggling and not knowing what to do he decided to spend one loop just following the probe, then at the end of the loop he used his signalscope and heard all the traveler’s playing their instruments, and heard them going out 1 by 1. That was the moment that made him fall in love with the game.
My god, what? I've never seen someone figure out the supernova and the time loop before they looped for the first time, what an attentive and intelligent playthrough
To be fair, he said he knew that there was a time loop/groundhog day thing involved before starting the game. Still very good observation and deduction skills.
HE WAS SO GOOD!! The way he handled all the breadcrumbs related to the Eye was insane! I've not seen many people figuring out the meaning of the Eye to that detail so early
Hello Eelis, thank you for all the amazing content! If possible, would you ever do a supercut of TheDanielMat or Sesujin's outer wilds playthroughs? I watched both of them through and they were super entertaining and the look of shock in both of them discovering content was incredible. Hope you have a good one!!
Wow, finding the Vessel and Escape Pod 3 in Dark Bramble through exploration, rather than following Escape Pod 3's signal. In fact, from the supercut it seems he didn't even unlock the emergency beacon frequency? Those are some serious 3D navigation and orientation skills (as well as expert Little Scout usage).
@@TitaniumLegman Using the Little Scout to check out lights from a safe distance was smart - not everyone does that. The typical way to locate things in Dark Bramble is by signalscope. You followed Feldspar's harmonica signal to find him, but the three escape pods also emit a signal. When the game says "Unidentified signal nearby", you can pull out your signalscope to identify the signal if you're within 10m, and if you had identified either of the escape pod signals, it would have unlocked the frequency, allowing you to follow the signal from Escape Pod 3 to locate it. And once you find EP3, you can follow the trail of lights to the Nomai Graveyard, and then work out from the clues that you can shoot your scout through the seed around which the Nomai died to put your scout on the Vessel, giving you a HUD marker to follow to reach the Vessel.
I promise it's legit. IDK why I am the way I am with games, but I always catch on to stuff this way. It was the same for Echoes of the Eye, Hollow Knight, the Metroid games, etc.
That was a pretty smart playthrough. I don't think I've seen someone figure out the tornadoes on their own before, much less reach the core of Giant's Deep without any clue.
Um... bro looked in the Tracking Module projection stone and said "I bet this is inside the core of the planet!" BEFORE he had even seen what the planet looked like? (50:20)
It seems like he’s assuming it’s a gas giant at that point, so really anything inside of Giant’s Deep is the “core” in his mind. In essence it sounds like he’s saying “I bet the module fell into Giant’s Deep”
That's correct! I didn't realize that Giants Deep was a water planet so I figured the module was just floating around in the middle of a gas giant. @@Birrihappyface
This is the first playthrough I've seen where someone takes out the signalscope to listen to Solanum's song while the ship flies towards the mask at the end. I always look to see if someone will do it, because I did and it was probably my favorite moment of the entire game

not always luck. He's just extraordinarily observant, and very persistent in doing figuring things out through experience rather than coming back later (like the 30min he spent on the core of giants deep
It's great to see a player that actually reads and pays attention to things
Wow I've never seen that detail before with the a-core-dingly line! Love that im still finding new things with this beautiful game
It's a random clipping issue but it works
I've never seen anyone else mention this, but the font and color when you destroy the fabric of spacetime reminds me of that old Win95 "You may now safely shut down your computer". And thinking of "You destroyed the fabric of spacetime" as some kind of universe shut-down message tickles me to no end 😂
I love how the moment the title hits at the end of the game he becomes one of us " I NEED to see others play this now!"
I love it whenever a new player is crying at the end gathering the old pals, like we all did. it shows you cared.
I don't know if it's just his insane luck but sometimes it really feels like he knows about some mechanics beforehand haha, maybe he's just really observant but the tornadoes and jellyfish part was pretty insane
I get that a lot. It was the same thing with my Hollow Knight LP. But the one that takes the cake is my Echoes of the Eye LP...
Sooner or later, SOMEONE will come along who figures it out
I did the jellyfish without finding feldspar first because you can do something similar in subnautica and I wanted to try it. It all depends on what you’ve done before
@@TitaniumLegmannow I’m even more excited for the echoes supercut.
Love the part where he perfectly deduces why the interloper can't be causing the sun to explode then he turns around and thinks the interloper destroys the sun
blown minds, much like blown stars, can be rewound
I can't overstate how load bearing these Outer Wilds supercuts have been to me this summer. I've also been in somewhat of a timeloop (working on my master project every day) inching towards the end of the universe (graduation) and creation of a new one (whatever the fuck comes after). I'm so sleep-deprived as I write this and have about 24 hours till my deadline. Thank you so much for these edits, they've been great comfort and company.
Best of luck on your masters program! I relied a LOT on UA-cam content when I was doing my master's as well, so I feel ya.
@@TitaniumLegmanthank you! and really loved your playthrough btw, i'm super impressed by how much you were able to deduce on your own!
@@zows4 Thank you! I loved having a playthrough like this where I could just stop and think sometimes about everything I'd learned thus far. Same as my Obra Dinn playthrough.
@@TitaniumLegman yeah i really love those kinds of games too! and i've heard good thing about obra dinn, i might check it out :)
oh update i've graduated now :)
This is one of those perfect playthroughs. The man is a genius, im absolutely flabbergasted at all the stuff he deduced through pure willpower.
Every time i watch someone play this game i carry something new with me into the next time and it culminated here for me. I felt this one more than my own first time. Thank you for this
Hello, sorry im late to the AOW (Anonymous Outer Wilds) Meeting. Hows everyone doing today
First rule of Outer Wilds is to not talk about Outer Wilds.
Thanks for supercutting this one. TLM has one of the best playthroughs of the game.
Yes! Tom's playthrough is fantastic, can't wait for you all to watch it, thanks Eelis!
This was a really nice, heartfelt, and observant playthrough to watch, thank you for putting it together Eelis. And thanks to TitaniumLegman as well ::)
(edit: commas)
I'm glad you enjoyed! It's been great seeing so many new folks see it for the first time. 😁
God, I love the contact high of watching new people play this game.
@@vincentlelong3106 I thought he knew that because he looked through the settings and saw that there was a "stop time" option
I love that he uses the scout to spot Angler Fish, many people get too scared to think straight haha
Even accidentally found the vessel that way
also easy to be discouraged if the game "teaches" you the scout launcher noise counts as a trigger for the fish
HE WAS SO GOOD!! The way he handled all the breadcrumbs related to the Eye was insane! I've not seen many people figuring out the meaning of the Eye to that detail so early
this man would be an amazing goalie, cause NOTHING gets past him!
Thanks again @eelis for your continuous effort! Always a pleasure to watch!
Wow this guy actually pays attention and picks up on things. Nice!
Thank you! This is probably my favourite playthrough of the game; having it in this shorter format is a blessing.
Wow, I didn't know you could get Harmonic Convergence without leaving the system!
I remember watching this guy's hollow knight lp, but I didn't see that he did outer wilds! This is a treat
Amazing work from both of you, as usual. Cannot wait for the Echoes of the Eye supercut!
Seeing an eelis upload brings me jot and seeing it be outer wilds gives me more.
I became a scout expert out of intense fear of encountering the fishy lads. 🤣
What a wonderful playthrough. Thanks, Titanium, and thanks, Eelis, for this.
1:48:00 oh damn, he got Telefragged
Don't see that everyday
Escall's clan did
I’m pretty sure I’ll be watching outer wilds Supercuts until the day die. Thanks again Eelis, you a real one ❤
Either this guy is really sharp, or it's all staged. I want to believe it's genuine.
I promise it's legit. IDK why I am the way I am with games, but I always catch on to stuff this way. It was the same for Echoes of the Eye, Hollow Knight, the Metroid games, etc.
@@TitaniumLegmanthis playthrough was amazing! thanks for letting us experience this again through your eyes
@@TitaniumLegman This is fascinating. Thank you, I really enjoyed it.
@@toshchakfox I'm glad you did!
One look at the Jelly Episode will tell you this playthrough is _very_ real
Just finish my rewatch of olivier's and sovietwomble's amazing runs, i need my fix and Eelis delivers 😂
12/10 playthrough!
2:29:50 the glitchy video artifacting when he's about to observe the entire universe is somehow incredibly fitting
It is! I also have no idea why that happened but I'll take it.
17 seconds im so ready
thank you eelis
I apreciate so much this videos. A letter of love of such beautiful one time experience
I just want to say I really appreciate what you do. I just finished playing Outer Wilds and have fallen in love with it, and it's amazing to have so many playthroughs from so many people, all put together by you. Thank you
Appreciate your work doing these
After I watch this, I'm going to go watch TitaniumLegman's Tunic play through
What's Tunic like? Is it a game you recommend going in blind for? I'm pretty interested in it given the good things I've heard.
@@snarpking It's the closest you'll get to playing another Outer Wilds. One dude (with some help, especially with the music) worked on the thing for ~7 years. It's a polished metroidbrainia (knowledge unlocks stuff). On sale at full price.
@@snarpkingTunic is a must play if you enjoy Outer Wilds imo. Think classic Zelda but with the need for knowledge and discovery like OW. Definitely an experience you should go in to blind.
@@TitaniumLegman okay sounds cool. I saw the reference to it in animal well, and that’s my game of the year so I figured Tunic would probably be right up my alley. I just gotta finish some other games first (including echoes of the eye).
...aaand I'm crying again. What a beautiful playthrough

Actually hold on...thought
*gasp of revelation*
I UNDERSTAAAAAAND!
Oh god, too fast!
That's Outer Wilds summed up perfectly in just a few seconds.
every time i watch someone new play this game i am astounded as to how this work of art isnt the standard medium for gaming. outer wilds ceases to amaze me. (also great playthrough)
4:00 FOUR MINUTES IN and you accidentally see the wandering planet?! And the best part is you at this point had no context! XD what a cosmic practical joke
Watching this one, this guy seems to be maybe the smartest Outer Wilds player I've seen yet, able to figure things out way ahead of schedule. Very perceptive.
What a great play-through. Made all the right connections, actually patched together the story as it was revealed, and he was totally in tune with the emotional intentions of the ending
I love how @Eelis has 15k subs and within 3 days there are 15k views on his video. We are all just marshmallows from the same can.
i still tear up a bit, every time
Thanks again for doing these Eelis ::)
This guy really never get eatan by an anglerfish? God gamer.
I am anxiously waiting for the echoes supercut
Thank you for your service Eelis! 🙏❤
He had the perfect playthrough
he keeps saying "that's wild"
yeah, OUTER wild
::D
Thank you so much the timing couldn't have been better!
This was so awesome, I'm gonna watch his EotE playthrough
Thank you Eelis
I don't know what your backlog of streamer highlights you got edited in your drive. However, I have the recommendation of Juniper Actias? I don't know how you feel about Vtubers, but she has a full playthrough of Outer Wilds in her VOD channel. So there's that!
Yay new outer wilds playthrough to watch!
Watching this dude calling so many shots with near 100% accuracy is fuckin wild
ive played the game and watched most of the supercuts so far, this is the first time ive seen the shadow of the eye of the universe on the wall in the eye school room
OMG ANOTHER SUPER CUT! I'm not getting any work done today
0:58 dude ive never seen the quantum moon be directly above when you wake up
His theories are creepily accurate...
Oohh, new outer wilds
It's wild how fast he figured everything out. If it's legit it's up there with Oliver's playthrough.
we are blessed this day ::)
1:38:27 is a very cool editing moment, I really liked that!
Darn, I already watched his full playthrough
YESSSSS MORE OUTER WILDS
Eelis, I love you. I love you Eelis.
54:08 I NEVER NOTICED THAT?!
