Threading the needle, between dust & to much rain. You be helping Gods Hands. All the Best!
There are few things that can make a Big Bud look positively miniscule but the Montana skyline and plains are certainly one of them
There is a reason why we (I live in MT as well) are called the big sky state :)
I retired working on DD4000 hp and Cummins 4000 hp
Even the old 2cly DD that Dowell used in pumping services
Set the rack was a joy to do and the sound was great. But I can’t hear much now wife said
Precious moisture!Bring it on!!!!!!
It's cool watching the Big Buds working.
I remember going to the Farm Science Review in Columbus, Ohio at the original site when I was still in elementary school, and seeing these huge white tractors!!! Glad to see rebuilding them and using them!!!
Pretty slick how the radiator comes out, eh. Winter is here in Newaygo, Michigan also. We got about a foot of snow yesterday and I am heading out to the Kubota L3800 to blow snow. We live back in the woods a little over .6 miles on a private road. I purchased the Kubota (2013 model new) from a friend who owns a dealership in Feb of 2014. The private road is 1.5 miles long and I blow the snow off from it. Retirement is Grandpa gets to drive the tractor.
✌️🙏❤️🖖
Great to see the The Big Bud out and about the other getting some love!
I am really hope you get the right amount of rain next year. So all your bins are full and you need to make a stock pile or bags.
God bless you guys. So wonderful seeing you expanding, even on leased land.
Always love seeing a bud, would love too crawl around one
Big Bud....America! Thank you Big Bud!!
Keep on “trucking” fella’s!!!! Not only is y’all’s farm kick a$$ with your tractors, implements, and innovation…y’all portray legitimate farm life in an area that is hard to produce product our country (any many others) sorely need.
Another really cool post Nick. Coming from the UK I'm always amazed when I see how massive the area is that you farm and those beautiful hills in the background. You're so right about the noise that cultivator was making but you got it done. Great to see a farm expanding and good luck next season with the weather conditions. I'll be following the progress of the Welker family farm .....all the best guys
Glad to see you got some snow, I know how badly you need the moisture, I hope you get a lot of snow this winter!
Bonjour la famille Welker super vidéos avec la maintenance des big bull bon courage à ton frère avec la construction de sa nouvelle maison bon week-end bonne semaine à tous la famille
Again, thanks for another excellent video.
Its great to see more productive farmland being created.
@a man Thanks for your reply and I am fully aware for the good reason.
I wrote it for the city slicker types and Greta the Sweed kind of thinkers who whine about farm land disappearing and who may happen to read the thread.
Thank you Welker farms for sharing your day to day farming activities. I was born in 1944 and grew up on a Freestate farm in South Africa. I am now a retired farmer and enjoy every chapter of your Channel. I pray for you and like a farmer i am very sorry when threre is a drought or any problem. I share your every emotion in farming. Thanks for the real farm sounds, machinery and the kids. Attie Meintjes
Praying for rain
Winter snow, don’t like the snow but we need the moisture
What a beautiful corner of the world. I envy you guys.
Long time subscriber. Still amazes me the beauty of Montana. And how dang dry and substandard your soil conditions are. Hope you get moisture before the spring. A lot of moisture.
Big Bud tractor sure looks nice.
Ed from Chicago 🙂
It is so beautiful out there hopefully one day I can see it for myself. How much of that land do y'all own? Greatest UA-cam channel. Everytime I see your dad I can't help but think how many times he's been over that land. Today I was complaining about how cold it was here in Kentucky and then there is your dad who's been through way worse winters than I could imagine. Love y'all God bless
About 8k owned, 2.5k leased
I've been watching you guys for years now! I look forward to seeing you guys have a blessed year next year, no Hail, no droughts, just a great year and full harvest! God Bless you for all you do to give us wholesome entertainment!
I came because of the Big Buds! And I'm going to subscribe because of the big buds! I first read about the Big Bud tractors some 40 years ago in a farming magazine! Maybe one day I will see one in person! And if I'm lucky jump in the cab, and if I'm really really lucky drive one!
Come spring we'll have tons of BIG BUD content 😁
I’m so glad you are wearing hi-vis clothing around machinery. It’s a small safety precaution but certainly pays off.
at 8 minutes...there is "something" in the sky behind you... clouds?.
Thank you Wellers for taking us along
Snow time is here for sure. We got it today in Southeast Michigan.
Truly is something seeing those big buds working.
Good to see you guys enjoying yourselves as well.
It would probably be in your best interest to send in an engine oil sample from the 600/50 and have it checked for coolant residue. If there was an internal coolant leak it would probably show up in the sample test. If the sample comes back clean all is well and you'll sleep a lot better during the 2023 planting season.
Wish you would include some conversations around the dinner table, or does everyone eat at their own homes? I kinda envision it's like the TV show Blue Bloods...lol we don't get to see enough of Mrs Welker. Loving all the expansions but praying for a better year next year. We really need what you produce!
Thanks for another great video.
It was interesting and enjoyable.
Big job getting that radiator off. Is one big radiator. Will be more than a buck fifty getting that recorded.
Hope you find the other leaks.
Looks great you getting more ground ready for spring seeding. Thanks for the drone footage. The ground looks good after you ran that last machine over it. Did a good job. More ground next year to raise crops. Ya!!!!
Neat idea on how to check your gas lines. Works good.
All for now. You all take care and be safe.
Looking forward to the next video.
Thanks for everything.
The Iowa farm boy.
👍
I always loved the smell of the old diesel engines firing up when cold...anyone else?
Nice to see you preparing the new acreage, Big Bud getting it done! God’s Blessings.
Hope you can get foundation problems worked out so you to can get started on u our new house, i can remember all to well when i built my new home on our farm i was so excited i couldn't wait to move into it best of luck
I did most myself, hired to concrete crew, and some for odd ends as I was working a job while building my house, it did take me a year to complete and move in
very nice video Nick. Thank you and your dad so much
Love to see the Bud’s out tearing it up! I would like to see the torque threshold as the tractor pulls that 60’ implement. I will bet it is huge! Thanks for the content and commentary…from you your dad and brother too
Im doing the same thing..breaking up 35 year old crp..using a wishek disk tho..made 2 passes and got dumped on with 14 inches of snow lol..my back needs 6 months to recover from the dam roughness lol
Great drone work guys!
I've missed big bud wrenching series there always so coll to see the process of how these tractors work
Excellent video ! Progress coming in.
I feel ya on the growing....this yr we got up to farming over 3,000 acres....yall a bit open than that but we avg about 250 +/- per field so 3k is a big number.a couple of the fields were covered in woods so we had to clear it first
Awesome happy snowy days 🙏💕
Keep on farming Welker Farms god bless you
That snow is coming my way. I expect it on Wednesday. Winter is here, looking forward to it.
You can see green tractors red tractors orange tractors but there's nothing like those big buds rolling down the road or working in the field
Always fun watching 👍
Tommy G
More field work footage please 🤠
That was awful nice of y'all to get Leg Arms a splash pool 😜
Thank you for another interesting video and God bless.
God Bless the farmers!
Hmm in Saskatchewan and Alberta the gas lines are yellow or orange. Glad no leaks 👍😎😊
Glad to see you got some hard rain(snow),hey wet is wet.
The smile on your face when you and your dad prepped that new ground says it all Nick. Proud farmers. Thank you!! Your intros are getting really good Nick thanks for working hard for all of us. Great content.
We're not proud farmers, we're humble
I love the wintertime projects.
If you bad ground for equipment storage maybe look into putting stone down to prevent equipment sinking into ground plus won't be muddy when it rains
Seriously though man! 👍👍👍 on that drone footage. Outstanding sir!
You definitely can use the moisture of the snow as dry and Dusty it was when you were working the ground with the big bud hope you get more snow then you can get your shop work done !
The last 10 seconds with the drone was my favorite.
love hearing the bud roar
You should lubricate the springs on your overhead door from what I hear.
Hard working family!
Nick, I’ve experienced too many personal injuries while working by myself. Please try to have dad, Scott around when you work. God bless you all.
Good video guys and it was nice seeing you guys again. Glad to see you got a little moisture. Take care and looking forward to the next video
Those big buds do like to snort to tell everyone it's coming and get out of my way !!
WOW that ground sure is dry, praying for rain or good snow pack this winter
The jack you used to lift the frame, is known as a Kangaroo jack in Aussie. MAll mining companies and a lot of other units such as 4 wheel drive clubs recommend against them. They also known as the dentist's mate. Ther have been a number of fatalities and serious injuries caused by a number of issues. The same problem occurred with Ford,, GM Holden and Chrysler in the early 1970'sas they bused the same breed of jacking system under the bumper bars. They are not stable on the base provided unless on Concrete andAsphalt.. You only need planned dentist or surgeons visit, not urgents
You think that is their first time? They are stable, and safe. Maybe not for you. But for those with a lick of sense they are perfectly fine.
Thanks for sharing
Love bobs old truck. Those things rode great!
your drone footage is impressive!!
When doing a leak down check. Plumb in a "t" with a pressure gage that is close to the sest pressure. So a 22 psi you should look for a 25 to 30 psi gauge. Air it up and let it sit 24 hours normally. In your case with that long of a run I would give it 2 or 3 days minimum. I don't think the Schrader valve setup is very accurate. Most city building codes will have the water system tested for 24 hours at 100psi. With gas systems the test pressure is different.
Hope u get some snow to give u some ground moisture for spring planting
Some of the best content I can only find on this channel
We got about 1 1/2' of snow here in Alberta.
Let's hope your positive attitude radiates to this company. 😁😇🤟
Them high lift jack are sneaky little burgers we were fixing a tire to go get hay in sub zero temps the thing came back knock me on the ground the look on my buddys face when he seen me layin on the ground was priceless all i had was a cut next to my eye
I use them but always figure they might bite
Not sure if you changed cameras or something, but this video is so incredibly more clear than previous videos.
Now I’d be down for working ground with that monster set up💪👍👍 big boy farmin💪
Hi Walker Farms I love your big buds in action and your amazing videos are incredible 👍
👍
When I first saw your title, I thought that the video had to be more than just "pull my finger". . . . You did not disappoint. By the way, the Friggstads sold their factory in Frontier, SK to Flexi-Coil. Some of the people went to work in Saskatoon. Friggstads made good products. Their R & D people were top notch. I likely told you before that I worked on the earlier Flexi-Coil packers. I once cut all the pipe for their packer frames with a band saw. Those days had 4 foot, 5 foot, and 6 foot frames as I recall. It was a summer job back before I went to university. Did you know that before bearing seals were developed to take running in the dust, Flexi-Coil used wooden boxings made of birch for a few years in the early 1950's. They were soaked in linseed oil. . . . Yes, those were the good ole days alright. 😊
Cool history. Met Terry Friggstad
Thank You
Awesome video, nick! Keep up the hard work, and God Bless!
Getting some moisture now😀
Hear Roscoe hammer down nails is awesome, as a harping Laura. But a ripping Big bud beat it all. This is where i was looking for! Do you test the soil in the lab to see how much fertilizer you need every year? Was just wondering.
The series 2 Bud has been in its element pulling this Friggstad/Flexi-coil plows breaking up that CRP. The coil packer looked like it did a very nice job finishing up the ground.
I hear that the rains are coming soon. Expect good yields next year.
That flexcoil does look like it’s built very light. No wonder you keep breaking it 😱
Great video Nick
Bob's Big Bud bouncy box
Another great video.
Big brute won’t give you full strength because he sees big buds with there nice red seats and he wants one keep up the good work guys
good stuff good to see you expanding best of luck to ya god bless welkers
Thanks Mark! God bless!
@@WelkerFarms how is your arm these days leg arms? Hopefully back up to where it was
It's about 98% back
@@RobertWelkerFarmerBob sweet
@@RobertWelkerFarmerBob I’m glad to hear he’s making a good recovery
Would you complain if you got several feet of snow just to get some moisture into the ground? Go for a record snow fall winter might be needed.
Fantastic ❤️❤️👍
The good ol’ high lift Jack, the back saver.
Very good Video 👍👍
Iron and ground, something WILL give!
Will that snow help with the ground water for next season ? Great video watching that tractor pull that implement!!!!
It helps some. More is needed
Need a good rain on that first.
@@clearskiesranch1362 Ya I hear ya, I didn't realize how desert like it is up there. We are in SO CEN TEX here and we have only had 9" so far this year and we usually get close to 28".
You Guys should get a milwaukee m18 portable compressor, handy for smaller tires and easy to throw in a truck 😁
