I remember sledding down my uncles land. He'd make a track with his tractor and we'd sled down a mountain like half a mile. It was a blast. Rip Uncle Mike
There is nothing better than the sound of kids laughing! Great memories of being pulled by our Dad on his tractor some 50+ years ago! Love the modifications on the CanAm's. Good to see you and the family, Nick!
Nick, you and your entire family demonstrate well why God planned to have the family unit at the core of how we are to live. Blessings to you all and wishing you His prosperity in 2023.
Love to see that time with the kids. Don't EVER not spend time with them. YOU are building precious memories and times that will warm your hearts for EVER!! You will NOT regret it!! And neither will they. You can teach them SO much by doing. They are this world's most precious asset, teach them well!! Our whole future is in their hearts and minds. (NO pressure) I think you are doing pretty well. Blessings on all of you..
Always great to see the kiddos. Making memories with Daddy and Uncle Nick that will be shared with the next generation when the time comes. God bless all the Welkers and a blessed 2023. Peace
It's awesome to see that the old car hood tradition is living on. My dad always had a 1940's to 1950's car or pickup hood to pull us kid's behind the old John Deere 4020 in the deep snow in the fields, it worked awesome because the hood was tall in the front so we didn't have a lot of snow coming over the front. Since those are liquid cooled engines it'd probably be really easy to put some kind of after market heater box in that side by side. It's great that you take the time to spend with the kid's giving them memories that will really mean something to them down the road and they'll always have these videos to look back on.
I think the last year I had with my grandfather was the funnest. Although we didn't know that he was dying from pancreatic cancer we still strive to have a great time with them. I'll never forget sledding up on our farm here in North Idaho but instead of using normal sleds we use canoes and kayaks the funnest time we ever had. Unfortunately my 75-year-old grandmother ended up getting a black eye from when the dog jumped over her but you know that's just part of it. I just want to say thank you so much for playing out videos that my family and I enjoy watching. I know I've said this on a couple of your videos before but it feels so good to come on to this channel after having a horrible day and hearing kids laugh and watching my kids laugh because it looks like you guys are having a great time. there been times that I've watched your content go out and it's brought back memories. I urge you guys to keep doing what you're doing cuz your content is actually be cleanest I've seen for a long long time my family and I watch you guys constantly and we enjoy it the biggest reason why is I can put it on for a youth group or a small group and not be embarrassed by the things that you guys are talking about. It is very obvious that the Lord is in the center of everything that you guys do and that is exactly why we enjoy watching you guys I just want to say thank you from the Wagner family
Also I just feel like you guys should know that we actually did use one of your videos actually two of them the one where you guys got completely healed out last harvest season and then also the other season where you guys got held out and your brother just said that God's in control. We actually use that as a center of one of our small group discussions. We just want you guys to know that you guys reached more than 25 people at our last small group meeting because of one of your videos so yeah I just want to say thank you.
Your kids are living life. They'll remember these activities for ever. Glad to see them outisde even tho it's cold rather to be glued to pc or console screens. Happy New Year to all Welker family members!
The decked out Defenders with added lights will come in handy during planting and harvesting. Running in and out of the fields. Cheaper than firing up a truck.
I always look forward to your latest videos. Thanks for everything you share. I've been fortunate enough to receive my 7th grandchild yesterday and seeing you your brother and dad share your work with your children gives me hope that our country will survive and thrive. I love being a father and grandfather and enjoy seeing others enjoying the responsibility of of caring for the generation of tomorrow.
A car hood and a couch. What could be more fun for the kids. We used and old 53 Oldsmobile hood and a rope pulled by an 8N. How things have got better for our youths. Great video this week, enjoyed it immensely.
“So I can hear, Uncle Nick please stop” 😂 Farm kids have the life!! Our son had his 1st 4-wheeler when he was 3. Oh how I miss our little barn full of animals in the PA mountains. My husband pulled us on a sled through a trail in the woods. We survived too! 😂
My friend and I call those wire connectors create a shorts. You are right, they are not very weather tight. Put some RTV gasket maker or silicone on the ends. It may not be completely weather tight, but it should help keep the water out a best it can. Thanks for all you do, God Bless.
I too have a gravel driveway. Those skidders will always leave a layer of snow every time you plow. I mounted a 2 inch steel pipe on the bottom of my atv plow. I no longer leave a layer of snow or mess up my gravel driveway when I plow.
Maybe get you some belting material and put on top of the plow to help the snow from coming over the top. They do the same on bigger plows to help it roll over.
I remember 50years ago up in Port Wing Wis we would spend hours in the local junk yard just to pick the wright car or truck hood for towing it was GREAT FUN!!
Thank you so very much there Mr Nick Welker. For bringing back so many memories of when me and my siblings used to do that in an old Hayfield in front of our house. We used a hood off of an old pickup and pulled it around with an old 51 Buick car thank you so much for the good times and Happy New Years to you and the rest of the family may God bless you guys and have a great year in 2023. And always remember God loves you and so does everybody else🙏🤗👍👍👍👍
A trick for plowing snow on a gravel driveway and minimizing the amount of gravel you pull up. Take a piece of 1 1/2" or 2" PVC pipe the length of your blade's cutting edge. Cut a slot straight down one side of the pipe. Shove the split in the pipe over the cutting edge on the snow blade. This will minimize the amount of gravel you pull up, but still let you plow your driveway pretty clean. I've been doing this for several years now.
Exactly. You usually use these on your first few plowing jobs, then once its frozen you don't need them anymore because the plow will skid across the frozen snow.
What a great video! Such a cool Dad. Made my day watching and listening to the kids have fun! Snow plowing will be much better now 👍🏻. God bless you too!
Little advice for the utv blade. Don't use the stops they don't work work very well and just leave grooves. Just get a piece of rubber belting and bolt on between the cutting edge and plow hanging out about an inch. Much more forgiving and can push faster without the blade wanting to jump. Thanks for content. God Bless.
If you add accessories in the future there is a buss bar behind where you put your switch. Constant, accessory and ground where you can put your ring terminals, 10mm nuts. No splicing needed.
Brother Nick I gotta admit I laughed pretty hard when you recommended rubbing ice cubes 🧊 on the snowman ☃️ Man! The best part was he wasn’t having it! 😹 Your Son saw right through that one Brother! 😂❤️🖖🏼
Fun seeing you out with the kidlets having fun! The Can-Am upgrades are cool. You'll have to let us know if those light bars work as well as advertised. Happy New Year!
your side by side looks like it would push snow well. got a kubota rtv1100 with a plow on it and its amazing how much snow can be moved with a side by side. might look into the defenders when looking for a new side by side. hope you and your family has a wonderful new year and have a blessed day.
It really does a good job. I think a slightly larger and more sturdy plow would be a nice upgrade but overall moving snow is awesome. The Defender is a great machine.
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Thanks for getting the kids out and about. They enjoyed that. Good work on the defenders. Blade works great. Light bar works. Ready to go. Thanks nick. The Iowa Farm Boy
the memories this brings back..... We used a old hood and mounted seats from junkyard vehicle to it. then there is the ski hitching which i do not recommend but was a ton of fun before we knew better....OMG the old big red 350..... how many times did that machine try to kill me. we grew up in a more dangerous time but it made you tough and we learned common sense from our mistakes...lmao Stopped to commentt after the big red comjment to find you went through the same evolution...Too funny
Hello Nick, loved the UTV vechiles, Wow you & the Kids had a lot of Fun in the snow, Happy New Year 2023 to All the Welkers ,Regards & Best & Blessings Trevor.W.Bacelli. Biloela Qld Australia.🐎🐎🐎🦌🦌🦌🦌🐐🐐🐐🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦃🦃🐔🐓🐓🦋🦠💐🌸💮🏵🌺🌻🍁🌴🌴🌴🌴
I hate the crimp on splice also but sometimes that's what it needed. I put dielectric grease all over it and inside it before crimping and it seems to make it resist corroding up at least some.
Happy New Year Welker farms,Nic those side by sides are sweet ,My sons buddies have one and put tracks on it .We were in the mountains in Carmi, British Columbia .Canada .The thing is non stop through the snow
Happy New Year! Hey you could add a piece of rubber across the top of the plow extending forward and that will stop the snow from coming up and over and onto the windscreen Just sayin after 30 years of winter plowing it works great.
I would like to make a suggestion towards naming or making a declaration over two pieces of equipment you use for planting. You have two seeders that are used on your farm. One should be called ABUNDANCE , and the second one BUMPER, or BUMPER HARVEST. This came to me when I saw them sitting parked in this video. Blessing to you and family.
Even with the pads, you will still dig into the gravel if it's even a little bit thawed on top. Slit a pipe and weld it over your cutting edge, glides over the gravel.
I call those shoes on the bottom of the plow. I use a ranger 1000 to clear snow. The only thing that limits what it can move is weight. So my friendly advice: use tube sand in the bed when plowing. It’s like adding weight to a tractor, and it turned it into a snow removing animal. Second life hack you HAVE to have when plowing with an atv or utv. Auto-stop winch. Then put a little heater in that, and it’ll be an absolute beast.
Those UTV's are snow moving machines..... My only grip with the winch lift is there is nothing to stop the blade from riding up as the snow gets deeper.
You should like it, it beats a bucket by a long shot. I don't miss it we love our skid steer but it was slow. The only thing that is missing is a beacon
Happy New Year!!!
Happy new year
Happy new year!May 2023 be awesome!
Hope you have a very productive 2023.
You too!
🎉
Good to see your kids giggling and having a blast being towed in the snow. That’s what childhoods are supposed be like.
I agree. I recall us getting a snow and being pulled on an old pickup hood and having a blast.
I remember sledding down my uncles land. He'd make a track with his tractor and we'd sled down a mountain like half a mile. It was a blast. Rip Uncle Mike

I miss having children to play with. Your making memories for them all. Well done family.
Thanks for giving those kids that fun. They loved it. Nice toys. Blessings!

Those kids are Gold.
Thank your wife for doing such a great job.

I didn't ride.....it might be pay back time when I pulled him.....

Memories of car hoods, saucer slesds and tractor tire inner tube. Excellent thought sometimes painful times.
Those kids are going to have some wonderful memories. May God bless you richly in the upcoming year. Stay safe and God bless.
I too have a gravel driveway. Those skidders will always leave a layer of snow every time you plow. I mounted a 2 inch steel pipe on the bottom of my atv plow. I no longer leave a layer of snow or mess up my gravel driveway when I plow.
Loved seeing the kids! What a great place for them to grow up. Happy New Year everyone!
Nick is really pushing it...
...
...because that snowblade is working very well! 😁😇🤟
Great to hear the laughter of the kids
Maybe get you some belting material and put on top of the plow to help the snow from coming over the top. They do the same on bigger plows to help it roll over.

At 16:30 is super funny, because Nick's face is hilarious and feeding the antelope part! Laughing out loud! 😆🤣
Great to the kids having fun in the cold n snow.

Most excellent idea 👌
Awesome to see the children having fun!
Great video! In college we pulled ourselves around in the snow with a waterski tow rope a saucer and a car! Great times
You have a beautiful family, I grew up on a dairy farm n your going life right, love the videos keep up the great dad work!!
In a few years, your kids will be in the shop with you, learning from you,
Leg Arms and your dad. Good teachers.
Happy new year Welkers. Praying 2023, is an awesome farming year for you all. Including the new houses.
Skid shoes is probably the term for the feet underneath the snowplow that keep you from destroying the ground as you run the snowplow over it
I have also heard “gravel shoes” as well. Good video.
Exactly. You usually use these on your first few plowing jobs, then once its frozen you don't need them anymore because the plow will skid across the frozen snow.
Thank you and Happy New Year to all. God has blessed us all with a new year. Take care and bring on the spring planting!
What a great video! Such a cool Dad. Made my day watching and listening to the kids have fun! Snow plowing will be much better now 👍🏻. God bless you too!
I call them shoes. Looks like you had a lot of kiddo time. So much fun wheeling kids around on a big sled. Happy Heathy New Year to the Welkers
Oh Yeah, The Big Red was awesome!!!! My brother still has ours, 1985 model I think. I had to buy one just for the heck of it...
Little advice for the utv blade. Don't use the stops they don't work work very well and just leave grooves. Some good winter fun with the kids, looked like awesome fun. Happy New Year Welker family.
Your best memories will be having fun with the kids. Always make time for them. Love the videos.
God bless those smiles... children are so precious...
I loved watching you pull the kids around in the snow .
You could add a little 12v heater for pretty cheap and it would be great in the can am
Couch on a hood now that is a great invention! Blessings for 2023. Happy New Year
Your kids have the childhood every child wishes for, great job being a parent!
Love seeing the kid’s having fun and making good memories!
Brother Nick I gotta admit I laughed pretty hard when you recommended rubbing ice cubes 🧊 on the snowman ☃️ Man! The best part was he wasn’t having it! 😹 Your Son saw right through that one Brother! 😂❤️🖖🏼
You could make or buy a cheap snow pusher/box for the skidsteer. It would move a lot more snow.
Fun seeing you out with the kidlets having fun! The Can-Am upgrades are cool. You'll have to let us know if those light bars work as well as advertised. Happy New Year!
The bed size sells me on that defender! With some homemade side extensions that's a firewood hauler if I've seen one.
I have said it before. The kids have the greatest Dad or uncle anyone could have.
God bless the Welkers.
Nick, they have some really good aftermarket can heaters for those UTV's. The ones that I looked at were not overly expensive.
what a great dad you are Nick
your side by side looks like it would push snow well. got a kubota rtv1100 with a plow on it and its amazing how much snow can be moved with a side by side. might look into the defenders when looking for a new side by side. hope you and your family has a wonderful new year and have a blessed day.
It really does a good job. I think a slightly larger and more sturdy plow would be a nice upgrade but overall moving snow is awesome. The Defender is a great machine.
Great family video Nick.
Those kids were loving that sled ride!
Get a snow pusher for the skidder, and a boss plow for the side by side!money well spent
Awesome job Nick. You should buy a heater for your Dad's defender.
God bless😇 Happy New Year to the whole Welker family🥳 I will pray that you do get that 4 ft of snow🇨🇦
Happy New year Welker Family. Those kids...a wonderful gift!
Happy New Year to the crew / family and you. Praying for a great 2023 for your farm. Take care / God Bless
I've had good results with Scotchlocks by putting dab of silicone inside before crimping.
Great to see the memories being created I can remember being towed on car hoods with the tractor we would tie two or three in a line
Happy New Year Nick and to all your Families as well! Started to snow down this way again too. -Bob...
Thanks for another great video.
It was interesting and enjoyable.
Thanks for getting the kids out and about. They enjoyed that.
Good work on the defenders. Blade works great. Light bar works. Ready to go.
Thanks nick.

Thanks Steve!

Happy New Year Welkers. God Bless you all and God bless you with an abundant crop this year.
Your kids know that they built the snowperson to lean into the wind. They know. 😊 Happy New Year. . . . don't get blown away this year.
God bless all of you
God bless all of farmers
Perhaps get a spray can of dielectric grease for the connectors o.o help prevent corrosion. Happy New Year! 👍👍
Looks like dad and the kids had fun is the snow.
Hey Nick, you are a blessed man with your family all those cute kids and we hardly ever see anything of your wife, but she’s part of the package
I hate the crimp on splice also but sometimes that's what it needed. I put dielectric grease all over it and inside it before crimping and it seems to make it resist corroding up at least some.
Happy New Year 🥳 Welker families 🎉
The liquid black tape works great for them open connectors 👍🏼
Get some driveway sticks the little fiberglass poles and put those in the corners it will tell you where the edges of the blade are
Happy New Year to an awesome Family. God Bless.
Happy New Year Welker farms,Nic those side by sides are sweet ,My sons buddies have one and put tracks on it .We were in the mountains in Carmi, British Columbia .Canada .The thing is non stop through the snow
Edge tamers work wonders on the bucket to prevent digging when plowing snow.
Nick ❤your kids are so cute happy new year’s. Can’t wait to see your new house
Even with the pads, you will still dig into the gravel if it's even a little bit thawed on top. Slit a pipe and weld it over your cutting edge, glides over the gravel.

Nice machines, lots of fun with the kids.

5:30. The added weight sure helps.
You should like it, it beats a bucket by a long shot. I don't miss it we love our skid steer but it was slow. The only thing that is missing is a beacon
Good luck for 2023 and can you get a second hand snow blower to fit on front off 🚜
Wishing you all a very healthy, safe , and prosperous 2023 ! Praying the drought is BETTER this year !!
The screwdriver method for those springs or even a medium breaker bar would make putting those springs on a lot easier
Happy New Year to the Welker Farms Family!!!
19:58 I really waited for the: "This video is sponsored by Keeps!" Also Happy New Year
Love the video and love to see the Kids too .
Nick if you are worried about that wire conection get a tube of ATV squirt a little in each end
