I can see them together in the end for precisely this reason. The parallels are spot on. Gendry is a better man than Robert though, an improved version of his father.
Orange Fox Yeah...ad the peeing infront of your girl and thats a level of intimacy some marriages don't even have. 😜😁 Something tells me she will be more assertive next time they meet. And he will still be teasing/flirting. Jon will be hella confused.😂 He was protective of LF and Sansa...but I think when it comes to arya and Gendry..it won't be gendry that needs a stern talking to.....Jon will need to protect gendry not arya. 😂🤣 The poor guy won't know what hit him next season.
Ali Shuber Oh... "ship" is a term used when people really want two people to be a couple. Some make sense, like Arya and Gendry, and others not so much, like Jon and Dany. These people "ship" Arya and Gendry, only they do it "so hard", which just means they want it to happen even more.
Have you noticed that gendry carries both buckets when they're full , because they're heavy and he doesn't want her carrying something too heavy because he's such a gentleman ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙈🙈 xx
I must imagine you never carried buckets of water because if you had you'd know that its nicer to carry two. It's very awkward to carry one because of the imbalance
It has been said that Arya was likened to her aunt Lyanna. Maybe in the end she and Gendry will marry someday just as Robert Baratheon was betrothed to Lyanna Stark.
Didn't Robert say that one day the houses Stark and Baratheon will be tied together by marriage? Of course, he was refering to Sansa and Joffrey, but it would be great if in the end Gendry and Arya are the ones to make it true. I love the idea!
Or... I know it´s incest, but! Jon is a Targaryen like Raeghar, and Arya is a Stark like Lyanna. Maybe the story will repeat again, a Baratheon who was in love with a Stark, but the Stark was really in love with a Targaryen
Kevin LaCoste Not any more, he's not as desperate, Gendry might more useful fighting by his side. Though, he's unlikely to trust Stannis like that again. Imagine Gendry and Stannis having a drink together and Gendry says: "Hey, Uncle, remember that time when you tried to have me sacrificed because that red girl had you around her finger? You and me both!" Lol
Yup, they are too young now. I mean she's 11 and he's 16-17, according to Tv show and books both. But they will grow up right? One day Arya will be 16-17, and Gendry will be 21-22. They will meet again and they will fall in love I'm sure. I just hope this so much çç
Tio Makkusu Well then he'll just join house stark. Give their kids her name. House baratheon and house stark join after all but it will just be house stark that lives on.
I was talking to a friend a while back and while discussing the show he said, "And where the heck is rowing guy? I haven't seen him in forever." Took me five minutes to figure out who he meant.
I don't think they can forget eachother, their meeting changed their lives and they stuck together for two books, where their relationship was one of the main themes in Arya's story. I think Gendry will probably be the new POV that'll keep us updated with the going ons with Lady Stoneheart and the Brotherhood without Banners
+joshsplosh imagine fucking a faceless women, she can become anyone in the world. I'd tell her to look like whoopie goldberg so i can pee on her dreads.
I've found that their scenes are by far the best this season. I never get tired of seeing them on screen and their storyline may be slow a little, but their dialogue is too good (unlike another *cough* Dany*cough).
I just read this bit in clash of kings, and the conversion at the end is almost exactly the same!! It's so good when that happens, I love this bit so much, book and TV both!
Yeah, she does it so well. Perfect mix of still being a kid and growing up into teenage years. Also the guy playing Gendry is around 24 years old playing a 17 year old... They do that all the time. Get actors and actresses who are a lot older than the characters they play. Plus during the scene he's wielding that sword in front of her you can soooo see her eyes go up and down and back up again. lol
I love how Gendry immediately starts taking the piss out of her when he realizes that not only is she a girl, but a highborn, almost like "ok, teasing for being a girl is great, but I clearly only need one well chosen nickname to push her buttons. This is perfect!"
My fav from the book between them was when they stopped at that one inn. The part where they were in the blacksmith's workshop. I read that part twice.
She was so obviously checking out his pecs in that scene! Thankfully they made her a bit older in the series, or that would be too uncomfortable! And the actor playing her is actually coming up to 16 years old - unbelievable - what a brilliant actor!
As I was reading the series, I thought they'd be so cute together. I'm not finished yet (obviously) but unsurprisingly they are headed in very different directions.
Not necessarily. I am almost finished with the fourth book and I am looking forward to seeing how certain scenes play out. The Arya and Gendry stuff is my favorite parts in the book, so I haven't been able to go a day without seeing this scene again.
I DARE NOT LOOK AT THE COMMENTS FOR FEAR OF SPOILERS!! :D but I love this show to bits!! it's so captivating!! And the actors are really really good!! I especially love arya! :)
LOL After I saw this scene I totally agree with you. That and the scene after they were taken in by Tywin Lanister and he's wielding a sword he just made in front of her... Yeah... I could so see this more as they're older. Let's also think about it he's a Baratheon and she's a Stark. Perfect fit.
Gendry: "Asking me questions is bad luck. You'll probably be dead soon."
Arya: *asks more questions*
Classic Arya.
"Well that was unladylike."
Can't wait see more of Gendry!
You know, he takes after his Dad I think. At least in wise-ass manners.
he never came back :(
still not back
Doris Barkler still rowing
Canadian Mexican not any more!
Welp I’ll come back to this comment thread and see what you guys say on April 14.
THAT LITTLE LAUGH AT THE END KILLS ME EVERY TIME OMFG SSSSHHHIIIPPPPPP
I ship Arya and Gendry so much!! They are adorable!!!!
deycallmemari his laugh is awesome)
Gendry = Young Robert Baratheon
Arya = Young Lyanna Stark
luckily there's no young rhaegars lying aro... oh wait
+Darkstar let's not jinx it
+Darkstar Aegon, Son of Rhaegar
i can see this happening
I can see them together in the end for precisely this reason. The parallels are spot on. Gendry is a better man than Robert though, an improved version of his father.
"Do not call me milady."
"As milady commands."
*Shoves him*
Sounds like a typical marriage right there.

@Maaike R ...😍😍..love it😄
and the next time she shoves him, it will be to throw him on a bunch on pillows ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
"How can someone so small be such a huge pain in my ass"
Hahaha love it. Love their scenes together. They're both hilarious.
In my aaass.... Loved their accent
Maisie's big blue eyes all wide and innocent when she says "i--I don't have to take a piss."
Is so cute
She was frightened
Now she can take gendry piss
SHIP SO BAD.
Also, Joe Dempsie has the cutest laugh!!
can somebody explain that joke.. you can spoil, ive finished the forth season
Ali Shuber......what joke?
megamovieman101 people are saying ship so bad all over the comment section.. what does ship so bad mean lmfao
Ali Shuber Oh... "ship" is a term used when people really want two people to be a couple. Some make sense, like Arya and Gendry, and others not so much, like Jon and Dany. These people "ship" Arya and Gendry, only they do it "so hard", which just means they want it to happen even more.

little_wolf I hope they'll come together
I must imagine you never carried buckets of water because if you had you'd know that its nicer to carry two. It's very awkward to carry one because of the imbalance
As m'lady commands. Well that was unladylike. I just melt every time.
Arya: "My name is Arya, from House Stark."
Gendry: *mentally panicking*
Love his reaction. XD
Gendry is coming back 👏👏👏.
A Baratheon might just marry a Stark girl after all.
Given what happen in S8E2 between them, chances are high.
@@varric Given what happens in S8E4 between them, chances are low.
@@coltonheatherly4554 Yeah, my poor Arya.
Or at least lay with a Stark girl
No.

The ship that just happened
It has been said that Arya was likened to her aunt Lyanna. Maybe in the end she and Gendry will marry someday just as Robert Baratheon was betrothed to Lyanna Stark.
I like your idea. Love the parallel.
UGHHHH, i would love that!!

Gendry + Arya = CUTE!!!
Level fangirling: over 9000!
So what's your level now?
I don't know what happens in the books but I want these two to get married. They are adorable together.
Magne mand
He is heir to the throne!!!
The Lone Wanderer. Bastards don't inherit anything. not even a surname
nicholas djajagomulja Lest they're legitimized. :3

Gendry has a crush on Arya in the books 💜
but it is not very explicit, and their ages are very different also, what makes it best than in the show
Oh Gosh I love theses two!
"As my lady commands.....That was unladylike"
i ship....
You lile ships?
Gendrya
Shipped already.
THAT'S UNLADY LIKE I LOVE THIS GUY #comebackGendry
Maisie is so adorable, my God!
The moment, I fell in love with them. As in, them, together. I loved Arya from the moment I saw her.
Who's here after Arya and Gendry reunion in Season 8?
Who's here because they banged
And yet, it made my heart yearn for the iconic Acorn Hall scene.
im so pissed that they excluded that scene
What was that scene about?
A testament to her ability to act with great timing and emotion.
Since this I've always thought Gendry and Arya will end up "winning" the GoT.
I'm hoping Daenarys and Jon meet and they team up. IT JUST WORKS
sorry bro jorah's going to slay her. hes the prince
Daenerys will have to teach him a lot. After all, the fella knows nothing.
Thats true lol in that department he's a teen virgin compared to her but he's a seasoned warrior, handsome, and a king and she's into that.
@@shabr1ri Oh dear, this comment did NOT age well....
I ship these two so hard
I can just picture Robert and Eddard looking down on these two, smiling and grateful that they're there for each other.
"As m'lady commands."
one of the sweetest lines in the entire series.
Yup, they are too young now. I mean she's 11 and he's 16-17, according to Tv show and books both. But they will grow up right? One day Arya will be 16-17, and Gendry will be 21-22. They will meet again and they will fall in love I'm sure. I just hope this so much çç
Greta Germiniani actually Arya is 15 in season 5
I talked about the book Anca Huiban :-)
Arya is 11 in the start so she is 16 in season 5
If that so he wouldn't still be alive. Martin is not that kind of writer who doesn't kill useless characters for pity.
Greta Germiniani except Maisie is 19, now (the show will probably put her at 16, at least)
And they married Tyrion to Sansa.
As my lady commands. Well that's not very ladylike! Haha I LOVE Gendry he is such a babe
I just love how Arya is able to handle her own and when she pushes Gendry I couldn't stop laughing. I love Arya so much in the books and in the show.
and that, ladies and gentlemen, is how love begins.
could not stop giggling when i first saw this scene. gendry, i love you.
Imagine a wedding between the Baratheons and Stark houses.
Hard, his last name is:Waters .I guess there's no how to proof his blood
Tio Makkusu Well then he'll just join house stark. Give their kids her name. House baratheon and house stark join after all but it will just be house stark that lives on.
I have watched this scene four times. Loved Gendry and Arya in the books.
I was talking to a friend a while back and while discussing the show he said, "And where the heck is rowing guy? I haven't seen him in forever." Took me five minutes to figure out who he meant.
WHERE the heck is he!? WHERE is GENDRY?
Still rowing
Akmed Zh this made my day
Just keep swimming, just keep swimming
ye I wanted to see him again , I miss my boo :( ... and the other replies were amazing xD
in king's landing
I love her expression when she says "I don't need to take a piss"
Maisie Williams is an awesome actress... and so adorable!!
Ahhh they're both sooo cute! And Arya is absolutely adorable!
Can i just say how much I love Joe Dempsie's character in Skins and now he's here, befriending my favorite Stark. :D this is too awesome haha
I don't think they can forget eachother, their meeting changed their lives and they stuck together for two books, where their relationship was one of the main themes in Arya's story. I think Gendry will probably be the new POV that'll keep us updated with the going ons with Lady Stoneheart and the Brotherhood without Banners
Arya is just as serious as Ned is/was and Gendry has his father Robert's jovial personality and sarcasm.
Some day Gendry will smash Arya's back doors in big time!
+joshsplosh imagine fucking a faceless women, she can become anyone in the world. I'd tell her to look like whoopie goldberg so i can pee on her dreads.

I honestly think they sent him away so Maisie could catch up to Joe a bit in age. Now they are both in their twenties. It's perfect, lol.
