It was great to have such a support group when cancer is in your life we still check on them and they check on us. Great clean loving family's. I loved them.
Lois that was very kind of them. But as a Mennonite woman I find this guy to be insensitive and this was offensive to me. How do you think these Amish women would feel if they saw this? Im not watching anymore Personal hugeness is a private matter.
@@dorothywillms115 why did you find this video offensive? I think he explained it good without being graphic or offensive. Is it the whole talking about periods and birth control that was upsetting? I know as an non Mennonite or non Amish person we discuss things like this with our daughters and our husband's know about monthly cycles. I know in my home we can discuss things like this without embarrassment or feeling uncomfortable. I guess I'm just trying to understand why it's offensive to you. If it's something you ladies in your communities don't discuss or mention or if it's that a man was getting embarrassed trying to explain it. I'm not trying to offend you by asking, I'm just trying to understand if it's a culture thing or what not. I was curious myself how ladies handle personal hygiene as well and it doesn't sound much different from us who are not Amish or Mennonite.
@@bonnieb7608he is Mennonite. it's their way. I still think it's a private matter but this day and time it's no big deal to the younger ones. We also talk about all these things to our kids but if it's our sons there are no girls. If it's the girls the boys are not there. If the kids together ask or just talk we all talk. Most of our elders used rags and washed them to use again and it was never talked about cause it's private. I'm just saying we are all brought up in different ways and there is nothing wrong with it. Sometimes I think all this openness is what's wrong with this world now. The kids know way to much for their ages and I think the schools brain wash our kids. All my boys will open doors for their girlfriends or wife's and the girls will even hold doors open for others and the respect they show to their elders is given and not expected to be earned first. These kids get out with their friends and they are no longer kids. It can be good to believe and teach your children that some things are just left privet. I'm sorry CJ. I still think you did a fantastic job explaining. The world we live in now scares me to death.
I had my first baby in 1976. My husband was in the army and we were poor. I figured out the cost of disposable diapers for two years. It came out about the same cost as payments on a new washer and dryer for two years. That made cleaning those stinky diapers a little easier knowing my labor was buying the washer and dryer. They lasted for several years making it worth the investment. I used disposable for church only.
Yep, same here! Bought a washer. Rinced cloth diapers into a bucket with a shower head, poured that out into the toilet, thrown them into the wash bag and then at the end of the day into the washer on the rinse cycle. Potty trained since 8 months old, fully potty trained by 2 years old, that included no bed wetting at night either. Cloth diapers were put away. A couple of accidents happened during that transition, we acted like it wasn't a big deal, cuz it wasn't, acknowledged the discomfort, and moved on to happier, dryer times😊
@@sibr4111 That's so good! My sister-in-laws 3 year old son is still potty training, he's getting good at it he just still pees at night. Idk why, I don't want to say it's her fault but.. who else's fault would it be? Not the little boys fault.
I loooove your honesty! I lived in a very closed hassidic Jewish community for a number of years and I was amused and shocked at what some people assumed about many of the same topics you covered! Thumbs 👍 to you for tackling the uncomfortable topics so well!!!
I'm glad I found you. I've always been fascinated by the Amish people. I feel for you having to address a subject you're not comfortable with. I enjoyed seeing you and how well you actually handled the subject. You did a good job. God bless you!
My daughter goes to college at Grace in Warsaw and we recently went to a huge flea market in shipshewana. It was amazing and tons of Amish In buggies on the highway. It was really cool experience for my daughter as she’s never seen many Amish on buggies even though some live around us in new Albany Indiana. Such a different lifestyle.
@@heathercowherd6544 Yes it is a different lifestyle .. I go to Shipshewana often it’s a big Amish community and I always feel welcomed there by all and I always stop to see John and his family and always come home with Banana and Zucchini bread that’s made fresh
I've mentioned it in one or two of your past videos that I have lived amongst the Amish community for over 25 years and not once have I smelled an odor from any of them. Most of the women appear very clean unless they were gardening. The men though....they work hard and they are usually dusty, but never ever smell. An honorable mention - the children are so, SO cute in their bonnets, dresses and the boys with their outfits and hats! 😍🥰💓💙 OFF TOPIC: A man is having a house built right next door to where I live and the Amish are building it. It's a 2 bedroom, 3 bath, enormous 3 car garage (literally bigger than the house) and an equally enormous workshop. HOLY COW! I have never actually seen anything the Amish built close up except for furniture, but they got the entire frame built in 5 days! They worked from sunup until sundown without any slacking. And let me tell you....they are perfectionists! (they used electric and gas powered tools) Never seen anything like it! I wish I could post pictures on here. Their work is amazing!
It's been a while, but I came across Amish furniture at a relative's house. It was beautifully handcrafted and flawless. The corners of the dresser had this unique way that they were put together with no nails and no glue, but it didn't come apart. It was sturdy. I saw it when I was like 13, and I'm almost 50 now. The dresser is still there. Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship.
LOL, I think you were blushing! 🤣 I used cloth diapers for my son, disposable on Sundays. And I am not Amish. The Amish around here (stricter than yours, but not as strict as others) use toilet paper in their outhouses. But often, the men will use the barn, even at home. Unfortunately, there is sexual abuse in every cross section of society, no matter what it is. It comes down to we are all sinners.
"Honey Hollow Homestead" Primal instincts will prevail mostly when people are under-educated and uncivilized and live in an isolated way. People closed off from technology and the modern world often cloak themselves with religion because it is traditional and taught generation to generation but deep within there are incidents that the people themselves do not understand because they are uneducated about their own psychologies so they continue to pretend while deep inside they are confused, hurting, yearning for understanding and tormented.
@@obscurelyvague Sounds like book learning to me with no real life experience. Technoloy is NOT the betterment of society. It has little if any impact on society, except maybe to bring perversions to the forefront.
My Amish neighbor would come shopping with me sometimes. I noticed a cloth diaper was neatly pinned OVER a disposable! She would bring a frozen pizza home for supper. They don’t tell their children where babies come from, but expect the older ones to figure it out. In my community I was able to convince a few women to keep breastfeeding and they wouldn’t have a baby every 9 months.
???? Um, you can still get pregnant while breastfeeding...just ask my dad and his brother 10 months younger than him, and the other brother born the next year after that one. Best advice: wrap that rascal!
@@catrina7083 sure, you can get pregnant while breastfeeding. Amish in my area found it easier to let others give the baby cows milk, and might only breastfeed once or twice a day which is not frequent enough to benefit from Lactational amenorrhea

I'm 50yrs old now and I'm STILL intrigued by Amish communities and when I go visit my aunts in PA we still take that beautiful drive out their Lancaster, PA 💖 My husband and I just purchased our retirement lake home in Cameron, WI. I've noticed while driving around some of the surrounding towns, villages & communities that there are signs of Amish ❤️

Wow, I commend you for getting through that explanation as a man. Such personal female information. It makes me realize God's people are God's people no matter what their culture is! We all have the same challenges and sins and that is why we all need our Heavenly Father❣️🙏❤️🩹
Great video and you deserve a big pat on the back for doing it. I keep hoping you would do video on sewing and quilting. Also how much they garden and how they preserve their produce for winter. Also, how did that case in Wisconsin turn out?
I was hoping to drive around the country side to get video of gardens before they are all harvested. Also I just got some new info on the Wisconsin case so ill be doing an update soon. It got pushed out until oct.
Amish women are very pretty. We have a little Amish community in Yoder Kansas a few miles from where I live. Yoder also has a birthing center that my daughter went to. The midwives were so wonderful and of course beautiful.
Around Morgantown PA the Amish still wear traditional clothes - one suspender and black hat for men and boys, modest dresses for women and girls, with hair pinned up in back and covered with the special cap. Cleanest farmyards you ever saw, red barns with hex signs on them, hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of quilts folded over the fence at the entrance to the road. If you see a quilt you want to buy you take it down to the house to pay for it. And the farmer's market. Absolutely the best meats of any kind that I've eaten. Once you have Amish bacon or other smoked meats, sausages, jams, garden truck you're ruined for any other food. Not shy about speaking German either. I wonder if Amish still go to school through 8th grade only.
Here in northern Canada we have a group called Eastern Pennsylvania Mennonite. I was born Mennonite Brethern and we are not good enough for these legalistic people. In fact I’m called English. You should see their mouths fall open when I speak German to them and they can’t speak German at all. I find some of the personal issues spoken about here to be disgusting and show a lack of social manners. It’s crude, rude, insensitive and sick. Are there men on this channel who get a cheap thrill out of this??? Shows a total lack of brains and cheeping the lives of Amish woman.
Hi CJ, I just saw you talking with Tawra on Living On A Dime so I thought this would be an interesting vid to start with. I’ve lived just north of Grand Rapids MI my whole life and there’s a couple small Amish communities near by. I guess because of what my mom told us as kids my thought has been that the Amish believe in tradition more than the actual Bible. Hearing from you kind of woke me up to what that means - not believing in salvation by grace! That makes me sad and I will be praying for all of those lost souls. Thank you for sharing with us
Enjoyed your interview with Tawra. My mom always told us (10 kids) we were Pennsylvania Dutch, I was born at home. I have always been interested in the Amish way of life but we didn’t practice it .

Then I was sitting here doing some sewing and I heard you start saying names of places I know. We grew up pretty close to each other. Haha
5 out of 7 of my kids I cloth diapered with the exception of church and traveling. They’ve changed a lot but all the cute patterns and customizable cloth diapers can add up. My husband hated them but I always loved seeing my array of prefolds and colorful covers on the clothes line. In Yoder, KS you don’t see a lot of buggy’s anymore but they will be driving tractors.
Hi. I lived with two different Swartzentruber families in New York. Well, things are different. A bath in a tin tub was once a week, behind a curtain beside the stove. In winter, it was sometimes once every other week due to the difficulty hauling and heating water. The water was changed twice, once for the females and infants, once for the males. Mem went first and bathed the babies with her. Then came my turn, (18 year old college student.) then in age order, four more. Then Dat, the six boys. We used homemade lye soap and washcloths and a back brush. It gave you what the English called, “the Amish smell.” Some people thought it was B.O. from never bathing. Not true! Your clothes, just about everything got washed with it. Ladies and girls washed their hair separately in the kitchen under the pump if they had one. In winter, we seldom washed our hair completely. Instead, we’d comb them out with a bowl of warm water, lemon juice or vinegar and a little oil or even lard. Once they were dry, we’d brush them really good, 100 strokes on each section until they were shiny. The boys just did theirs in the bath. We didn’t shave, or at least, weren’t supposed to. Just men shaved their mustache hairs. Some of the youngfolks cheated as much as they could get away with on the body, but married folk with a slew of children didn’t have time for that. As to toilet paper, it was forbidden as was store boughten female products. You made your own out of cotton flannel and attached them with an old fashioned belt and garters. A lot girls cheated, either by buying pads or using homemade and attaching them with big safety pins to store boughten panties. Then they’d wear the homemade underpants over them. A few girls, the more daring ones, would use tampons or even make their own tampons. It was still believed a tampon caused you to lose your virginity, also, that the ladies got off on them, which is ridiculous! They didn’t have those menstrual cup things at the time, so that wasn’t an issue. For myself, I followed the Ordnung for like three months and thereafter, used tampons. I kept it secret, even from the older girls because I didn’t want them to get in trouble and blame me. I thought, let them figure it out on their own. As for birth control, definitely NOT in the Ordnung. I think some of the youngfolk boys may have used condoms, but I don’t know for sure. I never got that involved with the youngfolks. Married couples I doubt used anything. How else to account for 10, 12, 16, and one family had 23 children! I never heard of anyone having an abortion. There was one instance of incest by step-father with his wife’s oldest daughter of 20. They married her off to a man who was a little bit off in the head. He was 42, unmarried, and lived in Tennessee, far enough away for nobody to suspect anything. I was told this via gossip, but when I got to thinking about it, it was the only thing that made sense. The wedding was in his house, not hers, and only her mother went, nobody else from the community. It wasn’t announced in church until after the fact. The narrative was that she went there to help a mother with cancer, but it turned out it wasn’t cancer, so she stayed and married this single fellow because she didn’t get along with her stepfather. Yeah, well, I wouldn’t get along with my mother’s husband who raped me and got me pregnant, either. I have no idea what happened to her. The step-father was a creep, also rumored to have molested his stepson and made advances to a married woman. She told her husband who proceeded to take his brother with him to settle the matter. They beat the crap out of him one night. I know he was put in bann for beating his wife. I was warned about him, to stay away from him by both sets of parents and one of the bishops! He was an alcoholic who took to hitching rides to various small towns and drinking himself into a stupor in bars. Every little town had its one red-neck bar. The cops picked him up one night for public urination. He was excommunicated and disappeared for a time, only to reappear in a town about 20 miles away as non-Amish. He was shacked up with some woman, also of dubious moral character. One of his wife’s adult sons moved up to New York from Tennessee and took over, buying up land and making a well-tended farm. I’m glad the last part of their lives was better than the first or middle! There was also a rumor that he’d beaten his four year old son to death when he lived in southern Indiana, and that he just buried him in a field. His first wife also died young under somewhat suspicious circumstances. Other than this one man, the majority of the people seemed to be decent, normal people. Yes, some were certainly more religious and better than others, but all within the normal range of any given tight-knit group of people. I know I learned more from the Swartzentrubers than I did from four years of classes at a state college.
It maybe that the stricter communities might have the women using reusable cloth pads. Since that would be old tech. There is a old term for that part of the cycle. And that is called 'being on the rag'. It wasn't until about a century ago that disposable pads were made using cloth and sawdust.
What is used by Amish is very dependant on the particular church they attend. Some are more progressive than others.I grew up in a farm community with Amish neighbors and I was a nurse in a hospital where we often had amish patients. As for contraception - mostly they use a method where they use their temperature to know when they are fertile and take appropriate precautions.

He'd fill their Fridge w/ Venison & they'd give him Pumpkins, Straw Bales, Fruits, Veggies, etc. They were all Wonderful. I had No Idea just how much they Loved my Dad until he took his Own Life. They ALL showed up for the Viewing. I was Lucky in getting to know them, bc so many Movies depict them in such a Negative Light & as Disliking the English. Which, I'm sure there's plenty that do, but there's Plenty who don't & they not only have Friendships w/ our Culture, but they Love us, too.
Birthing systems are more preferred to keep their babies from being exposed to rampant illnesses including mRSA. These centers are cheaper than hospitals. It is a more relaxed environment. Like midwives, there is more of a much needed womens network comprehensive in place. There is quite a bit into producing and carrying a baby, birthing a baby and then babycare and raising the baby into an adult. Womens bodies are multifunctioning hardworkers and often mistakenly undervalued.
Probably pretty good, most Amish don't practice violence or slavery. They believe that if they can't make it, they don't need it and use only what they need, so I believe they have a very similar lifestyle to traditional Native Americans.

"Juniorlipscomb" There's a big irony here. It is criminal that a family is so dysfunctional or neglectful that the parents do not know that a brother is impregnating his sister (or other female family member) or the mother is so submissive and religiously indoctrinated that she cannot do anything about her husband having intercourse with their daughter ( or other female family member). . But once it happens, then it is only harm -reduction that the mom sees to it that the sexually assaulted daughter does not bring an interbred child into the world. I actually wonder if this guy explaining all this is being direct by saying that he does not know any one to whom this has happened, that he only heard about it.

I spent 33 years in a Christian community. Our women were never allowed makeup and were expected to have some involvement in the domestic running of the house. contraception was forbidden as abstinence and self control was expected.
I've seen Amish women at an esthetition to get waxing done. And in our area, the Amish I have seen, use disposable diapers for their children. And, yes, some families have different bathing preferences. My husband's Amish family all have indoor plumbing. Amish business owners have computers and cell phones. They were told that if you work in the English world, they have to have the technology that the English have. My husband's father left the Amish church when he was younger. The only shunning he experienced was at meal time when he visited family. Back in the day, his Amish family would eat in a separate room from them. Nowadays when we happen to visit his Amish family for meals we all sit at the same table. In our area, not sure what some of the more stricter groups do in regard to family members that have left the church.

There's dirtier conversations. Pampers are expensive. I used cloth myself .They still have them on Amazon. Easier to find soap and water. But I've put a pamper on before going into town. But if that pampers dry I saved it and taped it next time.
I grew up with Amish friends that I was really close to. I spent a decade of summers living with them. I’m am female so I can say that in the Ordnung that I am most familiar with, old order Lancaster Amish, sanitary napkins are used. I’m not sure about other products. I’ve heard of some couples using birth control (over the counter), but I think it’s one of those things were, it’s private so they due whatever they, as a married couple, sees fit. Times also changes things in their communities too. I’ve seen some using cloth diapers, whilst others choose pampers. Bathing is also an individual’s preference. Some families/people have better hygiene standards than others. That includes dental hygiene and the use of deodorant. Shaving wasn’t a big thing back in the day, but now, I’m sure the younger generation dose. Same for plucking eyebrows. I’m not sure about makeup, maybe…
"Jennifer Y" It is one of those things. If the rest of the world moves on and benefits as a result of technological advances, there will be these isolated societies which eventually will have to, and want to, catch up. Cleanliness and comfort because of modern day commodities such as feminine products, toiletry products, child-care products, grooming aids means better health and convenience. In these such "hidden" societies, religion and rejection of the ways of the "evil outside world" sometimes is used as a reason not to bathe, shave, change clothes, etc, But as what already happened historically with mainstream society, younger generations will adapt because of the better quality of life that comes with a more modern mindset about these things.
I live among Swartzentruber Amish people in northern Ashland County, Ohio. Personal hygiene is lacking and you don’t want to be standing behind them in line, especially in the summer!
Incest is NOT okay. The Bible teaches against it. It is not only hurtful & sinful, but criminal. It needs to end. There needs to be lawful intervention & education.
Thank you so much. I'm glad for your brave answers. It's a subject that your women viewers are curious about. I just think it's obviously impossible for you to know a lot of things about feminine hygiene especially concerning the more strict communities. Lol...I don't know if the amish follow suite, but mom was a nurse in a mennonite hospital and she said many of the most reserved order of Mennonite's(Holdeman and old order mennonite which are vlosest to Amish) may look plain on the outside, but when they came in trauma cases(accidents) the women's underthings were just as fancy-scandalous as anyone else's. They didn't wear makeup though.
Lol can’t read a book by its cover. I used to got to concerts at Long Wood Gardens , the Amish nearest are the Lancaster Amish . It really looked like they had worn their clothing for a week between washes.
This made me laugh. When I was a young girl I worked in a department store and a group of old order Mennonite girls, slightly older than myself, came in and bought undergarments and I remember when I got home telling my mom that the girls bought fancy colored underwear!! 🤣

Just be careful. Cults always are nice from the outside.
Just be careful. Cults always are nice from the outside.
Me too. My daughter basically potty trained herself by age 1. Maybe it was cause she hated being in cloth diapers.
Lots of smart women here. Love it! Thanks for the advice!
@@HG-ol1tq smart? They brought a child they can’t afford into the world…
Yep, same here!

I hired some Amish men from Shipshewana Indiana to build my gambrel roofed barn back in 2015 they were great people and great craftsman
My daughter goes to college at Grace in Warsaw and we recently went to a huge flea market in shipshewana. It was amazing and tons of Amish In buggies on the highway. I think you did a great job discussing a topic you probably have never talked to anyone else. Thank you.
OFF TOPIC: A man is having a house built right next door to where I live and the Amish are building it. Their work is amazing!
if you like you can send the pics to theamishpotato1@gmail.com and I will post them..
I'm surprised they let you take pictures if they are of them. I heard that's not aloud.
Dude you’re hilarious! Thanks for sharing all this great info, very interesting for sure. Glad UA-cam suggested your channel. Cheers from Vancouver 🇨🇦
LOL, I think you were blushing! 🤣
I used cloth diapers for my son, disposable on Sundays.
Amen
"Honey Hollow Homestead" Primal instincts will prevail mostly when people are under-educated and uncivilized and live in an isolated way. People closed off from technology and the modern world often cloak themselves with religion because it is traditional and taught generation to generation but deep within there are incidents that the people themselves do not understand because they are uneducated about their own psychologies so they continue to pretend while deep inside they are confused, hurting, yearning for understanding and tormented.

Would you be ok with it if I shared this info in a video? It’s very informative. I could leave your name out.

It maybe that the stricter communities might have the women using reusable cloth pads. Since that would be old tech. There is a old term for that part of the cycle. And that is called 'being on the rag'. It wasn't until about a century ago that disposable pads were made using cloth and sawdust.

Those mothers giving tea to daughters should be arrested with their son and or husband. That’s a crime and it’s rape.
Sounds like they're Mennonites.
Oh man lady, enough already. Aren’t you embarrassed by this ignorant man.??? Iam Mennonite Brethern and having a podcast like this would make the women I know just wanna shrivel up and die. He should get off UA-cam and go to Bible school. He is totally inappropriate and needs to be TOLD. He needs councilling on what is socially appropriate. Next he’ll be telling us what Senile Amish men are like. THIS PODCAST IS INAPPROPRIATE 😡😡😡😡😡

There's dirtier conversations. Pampers are expensive. I used cloth myself .They still have them on Amazon. Easier to find soap and water. But I've put a pamper on before going into town. But if that pampers dry I saved it and taped it next time.
Thanks for the information. I am from St. Joseph county. I used to work at Bremen Hospital.
I'm from northeast Indiana, the Amish are very clean in hygiene, homes and community.
Thanks for sharing this
I grew up with Amish friends that I was really close to.
In these such "hidden" societies, religion and rejection of the ways of the "evil outside world" sometimes is used as a reason not to bathe, shave, change clothes, etc,
But as what already happened historically with mainstream society, younger generations will adapt because of the better quality of life that comes with a more modern mindset about these things.
I gotta say this was pretty funny you thought you being uncomfortable, they’re called fed feminine hygiene products😅
No, it’s utterly disgusting. It’s no one’s business. It’s crude. Have you people no sense of what’s appropriate?
@@dorothywillms115 what are you on?
Like other religions the amish are starting to get away from the strict rules of their leaders. They pick and choose what they want to do or not do.
I used to work at walmart i sometimes will see hole group of anish come in to shop
Hey CJ , I’m I’ve been wondering for a long time , are there any Amish ethnic groups , black , Hispanic , etc. ? thanks
Not groups. Just individuals here and there
I live among Swartzentruber Amish people in northern Ashland County, Ohio. Personal hygiene is lacking and you don’t want to be standing behind them in line, especially in the summer!
I see Amish shopping at Sam's Club and can attest to the fact that they make use of many Yankee conveniences and that they really love snack foods.
Incest is NOT okay. The Bible teaches against it. It is not only hurtful & sinful, but criminal. It needs to end. There needs to be lawful intervention & education.
Don't take this wrong but it is so cute to watch you do this while your brain is fighting against saying any of it.
Thank you so much. I'm glad for your brave answers. It's a subject that your women viewers are curious about. I just think it's obviously impossible for you to know a lot of things about feminine hygiene especially concerning the more strict communities.
But seriously I doubt you are going to find an Amish woman who will be willing to answer our intrusive curiosity. Maybe a formerly Amish woman, but that's not likely.
God bless you & your's. ✝️
Yes a former amish women might be willing and if I could find one to do a vid on it I would be glad to post it. Interviewing a former amish woman is out of the question as I don't think it would be appropriate.
@@theamishpotato I totally understand. 😉
I go by what is for sale in the local Amish store. Which is, pretty much same as Walmart.
Jewels would you want to be interviewed by this sicko??? He is beyond inappropriate. His wife should throw a complete hissy fit. If he has a wife. This guy has no boundaries. As a Mennonite Brethern woman I cannot identify with this. In fact IAM APALLED. Does his church know about this??? This should grieve all decent woman and most of all it grieves the Lord. It’s extremely appalling and unacceptable. The dude needs to STOP THIS. It just exposes his lack of intelligence.
Same in our community. As far as underwear goes anyway😂
Lol can’t read a book by its cover. I used to got to concerts at Long Wood Gardens , the Amish nearest are the Lancaster Amish . The teen girls and women, I don’t know their ages but they all had white bonnets, stank of sweat. They had brown ring around the collar , dirty blouses , dresses, shoes socks & shoes and bonnets .
@@candyrenee2152 lll
@@candyrenee2152 Actually you don't know if one of those girls were actually buying the underwear for their brother. That could be another thing. Maybe this guy ought to discuss what happens with transgender family members in these communities.
We just moved to Middlebury and the children always stare at us like we have a third eye or something. Can you explain this. It's not like there aren't alot of non Amish here. Don't get it.
They are just curious typically about outsiders. Amish kids have a bit of a staring problem
lived in St Catharines Ontario Canada.
wound up in the carnival tourist area in niagara falls one evening.
for some strange reason there was a traditional amish family they looked shell shocked. a buddy explained they did that occasionally to satisfy their curiosity about the 'outside' world. weird weird standing there staring about 5 of them ma pa and the kids.
