Love it!! So much that I nabbed this as a speedy tutorial, :) You've officially turned C4D into my go-to program. Sorry Blender, but this feels smoother and cleaner, especially for building, compositing, animating / keyframing and materializing. Also moving the camera is MUCH easier in C4D than it is in Blender. Edit: Blender is still great for its grease pencil, sculpting (with Dyntopo), photorealistic texturing and painting, and the UV unwrapping (granted I havent gotten to UV unwrapping in C4D yet but I love how powerful Blender's is)
Your work is really good (Y) I am new to 3D .. what version C4D would you recommend one should get? Would a laptop (i7 - 16GB RAM) help with work like you're doing? Thanks bro
Thank you! All I've ever used is C4D Studio. Preferably R17 or up. Such laptop as you mention would always give you an advantage but it's not necessary for these low poly models. For more complex tasks it may be worth the investment.
Wow man you are a master builder 🤣 seriously I’m trying to get to this level I know u did this with ease yet may have taken some time but I don’t care I just want this skill ! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ja de Greyscalegorilla Light Kit Pro. Maar dat is enkel uit gemak, het voegt niets nieuw tussen. Je kan hetzelfde doen met de standaard lichten en een keer aantal meer klikken.
Thanks for uploading the c4 project. I want to finish it, and add textures/colors now. Is it okay if I finish this up, and import into my game as a map? I must have your consent first :/. Thanks
I have question would you Please Mine Tell us about your Computer i mean Info about what's your motherboard and the prossior and the rams and CPU and Stuff like that Please
Yup I'm great at creating a huge mess in there haha. But most of the time I just want to get the idea out there without interuption. Also most buildings were made as 1 single object, if it had multiple parts... boy that would be a mess.
3dsmax -> Great for realistic modeling, but difficult to start with Cinema 4D -> Easy to start with, but more made for animation Maya -> Somewhere in between
You can use anything you like or even combine them. Just use what you're comfortable working with. An advantage about Cinema 4D is how many different things you can do with it, without having to learn multiple different apps.
most likely, paying for soft gives you rights to use anytNice tutorialng included with your purchase as well as whatever the distibution rights of any tNice tutorialrd
In my opinion it is the easiest artistic 3D software to learn. For 3D prints, engineering, ... other choices would be better. Personally I learned C4D on my own with the help of videos and constant google searches. Just try to master the easy things first (like the things in my videos), before going into the photorealistic stuff.
No, not a specific series. But the videos of GreyscaleGorilla and Eyedesyn helped me the most. And I think the videos from Mt.Mograph got me started, you can probably see the recemblances in his and my work. He is probably the guy where you want to start out.
If I can give you an advice - it really doesn't matter which program you learn, they are all the same, just some shortcuts and workflow mechanics might be different. I have learnt 3dstudio max and maya, but then swapped to Blender, because Blender is for free and you dont have to bother with licenses once you try to monetize your creations somehow. You already bought Cinema 4D, so you dont have to bother about it too now. All of them bit different but same in the essence. And now the advice - don't get too pumped and jump into something hard - like making a face, car or even a character (I think most of us are guilty of those). Very probably, you won't be able to finish those complicated models (especially doing a character requests years of knowledge of artistic level of anatomy) and even if you will make character, things will be off - hands too long or short, or legs, wrong muscles, improperly placed joints. This even applies for creating cartoonish characters. Bad anatomy can't be masked by saying that character is not real. You need to know the reality first and then cartoonize it. Start with small, boring things - so called assets. Make a chair, a table, learn how to texture them. Recreate all the furniture in your house. Create dozens of those small items. Then make your house and light it and put all these assets into it. Make one house, second house, each a bit different and start as a brand new scene. Once you have some good number of those assets, you should be very familiar with different modeling techniques and fluent using them, so you wont get stuck. Then you are ready for something bigger. But as I say, to model a good looking car, you need some basic to intermediate knowledge of engeneering, and for characters, anatomy (check out Proko.com tutorials, its worth spent money for this online course). Hope this advice helps and will save you couple of years of trying to model something super hard, like I did xD
I did that by selecting all the edges / corners, then picking the Bevel tool (right click-bevel) and in the options field at the lower right corner I set the Subdivisions to 5. Higher number = smoother curve.
You need to add lights to your scene for that. The easiest way to get started with that is adding a "Physical sky". It's under the same button as the floor object.
“White city” aka don’t wanna texture the whole thing
Damn right. It is what it is.
Twistereli I feel u mate😂😂👌🏻
lmao
lekker man fjorre, kom ik jouw hier opeens tegen hahaha
So true
If you think of it, that's simple and plain modeling, nothing fancy ... But when you add the imagination and the attention - awesome work!
Making every part of city this needs experts like you. .. man your work amazing

Love how many different types of buildings this one incorporates! You should play around with the colors on this sometime!
Maybe I should take that challenge. I never even tried because I was so convinced it would make it look worse.
Comment which lighting you prefer the most!
Mine are 11:53 and 12:02
11:51, 11:54, 12:07 depending on what type of scene you are going for.

Please make a neon city that derives from this aesthetic. That would be amazing.
thought the same

Calling him/her skilled is an understatement.
what a fantastic work!

Over 6 hours spread over multiple days
so cool results.
which version of c4d are you using? I would like check the file but I have c4d r 15
This was on R17, but I'm pretty sure it works on R15. The download link is in the description.
God level work
Thanks for uploading the c4 project. I want to finish it, and add textures/colors now.
Is it okay if I finish this up, and import into my game as a map? I must have your consent first :/. Thanks
You can do that, would love to see the result honestly!
Just make sure to mention me if it's anything commercial / if you make money from the game.
I think you should stick with the warmer lighting set-up.
Wow!!! good job! Teach me Please
Beautiful work man! I like it 👏👏👏
Incredible work! I love your attention to details!!
May I ask what is happening at 8:00? I can't figure out how to round the polygon. Thanks!
Selected the 2 corner edges and using the bevel tool with plenty of subdivisions for smoothness.
Wow! So nice!
i really love your style creativity you're just perfect🙌🙌🙌
I have question would you Please Mine Tell us about your Computer i mean Info about what's your motherboard and the prossior and the rams and CPU and Stuff like that Please
This was just done on a macbook pro Mid 2014

Nothing too crazy :)
Wow,that's so cool. How long have you been doing this project?
Between 6-10 hours in total I believe
oh,thank you.That's awesome.
You were so disorganized giving from the object list, how did you not get lost in translation?
Yup I'm great at creating a huge mess in there haha. But most of the time I just want to get the idea out there without interuption. Also most buildings were made as 1 single object, if it had multiple parts... boy that would be a mess.
I wonder how many hour u spend, amazing work
About 6 hours
So clean..
incredibly skilled
Impressive... simple but look beauty
Very very cool!
So dope!
great work!
3dsmax or cinema 4d which one we should folloe
3dsmax -> Great for realistic modeling, but difficult to start with
Cinema 4D -> Easy to start with, but more made for animation
Maya -> Somewhere in between
Mind=blown buddy 👌👌👌👌❤❤❤😍😍😍
it's very cool,and hard
Beautiful
Absolutely brilliant work. :)
Sorry for this kind of question cuz here is the first time i know this app. Why dont we using sketch up instead of c4D

Hi, Can you make a video as such as normal that will allow us to learn please?
Great work!! Nice

Really hard to make it!😐 Great job yo👍
OMGGGGG!!!! Look at the new apple invite for WWDC 2018, it really looks almost the same. Yours is better btw.
Excellent work!
Is Cinema 4D easy to learn??? I just bought it and I was wondering if its easy since I have already learned photoshop illustrator AFX and premiere pro

So you bought this for yourself for hobby purposes?

Wow, cool, you're a cool train. 🇧🇷👍🚅
Great work
Dude how did you make the curves on the streets? Awesome, will try to do something like you for training
I did that by selecting all the edges / corners, then picking the Bevel tool (right click-bevel) and in the options field at the lower right corner I set the Subdivisions to 5. Higher number = smoother curve.
ohh I see.. nice trick, thanks a lot man! I will practice this today

How long did it take you to finish this ?
Over 6 hours of recorded footage in total, but spread over multiple days.
How to get a render view like yours? When I press my "Render View" it just showed me the black in the background and the object i made
no shadows and nothing
You need to add lights to your scene for that. The easiest way to get started with that is adding a "Physical sky". It's under the same button as the floor object.
